Once again, confidence in our softer-throwing, fat-body closer is declining. -

QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 04:26 PM) We could be 30-132 and Walker would not be fired. I am so confident that Walker will not be fired that I will change by name to Penis if he is fired during the season. Hahaha...now I really hope he's fired. Dang... -

How deep into the season must we get before there is actually a real chance that Walker is fired? -

QUOTE(SoxAce @ Apr 29, 2007 -> 03:29 PM) And the bulls are about to sweep the defending champs! Who would have thought. I'm not a basketball fan, but this reminds me of when the Sox swept the defending champions in the first round of the playoffs. -
With Thome being injured almost all of 2005, and the second half of 2006, it's pretty bad news for him to be hurt this early in 2007.

QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Apr 26, 2007 -> 07:09 PM) Was Greinke throwing the new pitching he has been working on called the STFU? No, I believe the new pitch is called "sweet chin music," if I'm not mistaken.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 08:20 PM) Interesting news and notes from rajah.com source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter Arn Anderson was recently approached about coming out of retirement. The original idea called for him to wrestle in one or two TV matches where he'd team up with Ric Flair to help market the Four Horsemen DVD. Triple H was the main person pushing for it, as was Stephanie McMahon. Anderson was positive about the idea, but due to legal liabilities to the company in case he was injured with the pre-existing condition, it won't happen unless there is a medical clearance. When the idea got out, the idea got out of control, to the point it was talked about him becoming a player/coach on RAW, similar to Finlay on SmackDown. The idea is that Anderson and Finlay are about the same age, and Finlay was out of action for several years, came back, and ended up being one of the best workers in the company. WWE has handed down a 60-day suspension on SmackDown referee Chris Kay. The reason for his suspension has yet to be disclosed. The referee roster is thinned out moreso because Nick Patrick in on limited duty due to a sore back. Although there is no real talk on the subject, Mistico's CMLL contract expires in June. WWE didn't sign him after his tryout in February because they were led to be believe that he was under a long-term contract to CMLL. Mr. Kennedy, MVP, Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch are getting marks from some people in management because they are studying 80s tapes of long matches to improve their ring psychology. MVP has shelves full of videos from that era of Eddie Guerrero, Dynamite Kid, Dean Malenko, Tiger Mask and Toshiaki Kawada among others. WWE has taken action against Randy Orton for unprofessional conduct To the first part, damn straight. To the second, yayyyyyyy.

Just thought this was weird. Look up "ron karkovice" on google images, go to the 4th page, and look at the very first picture. Makes me wish I hadn't looked up Karko in the first place.

I once saw Herbert Perry scissor kick Angela Lansbury. -
Had to go to sleep before this game ended, but good to wake up to a White Sox winner thread.

I'd actually rather see him chase down Hack Wilson's RBI record over the homer record. -
QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 08:59 AM) I dont mind the length, but I half expected some sort of run-in during the match to make it exciting. HBK winning was pretty cool though, it was a great super kick off the FU The final 2 minutes of the match were good, I'll give them that. But damn, that match was constant submission after rest hold for an hour. A long match does not equal a good match. That match was ri-f***ing-diculously long and boring. It was not good.

QUOTE(South Side Fireworks Man @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 11:44 PM) The game threads around here are an embarassment and make Sox fans look bad. Go to any other website dedicated to any sports team at all (besides WSI, because they ban you for anything), and you'll see the same exact thing. -

QUOTE(BearSox @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 11:27 PM) Gil Meche can actually turn into the steal of the 06-07 offseason. He looked real good today. Yeah...or the more likely scenario where he comes crashing down to Earth eventually. -

Very encouraging to see Konerko finally hitting. If he stays hot, expect a prolonged win streak. -

Gotta say it. My faith in Jenks decreases after each of his appearances. This goes back to last year. -
HBK and Cena have been in this match for about 40 minutes. There have been like 5 commercial breaks during it, and it's incredibly boring. I think this match has actually lasted over an hour. It must have something to do with Orton's actions, because he was supposed to wrestle Edge tonight. I just can't believe they couldn't come up with something better than an hour-long match that is way, way, way too boring. You couldn't throw together a mid-card match or two in a rush?

Ha, I think Ozzie is pretty dead-set on making sure a former Royal ends this inning. -

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 08:44 PM) 12 innings Cool, thanks. I was really kinda hoping he would go 18 consecutive somehow. But, I guess I'll have to deal with just 12. Meche has about 50 pitches through 3 innings. Me likey so far. -
