Has anyone else notice Sandy Alomar in our dugout?
I once saw Herbert Perry scissor kick Angela Lansbury.

WHITE SOX WINNER!
Had to go to sleep before this game ended, but good to wake up to a White Sox winner thread.

White Sox vs. Royals, 4/24/07 (W)
Tony Pena looks like a troll in his gameday picture. Maybe an elf...

Alex Rodriguez on pace for 126 homers
I'd actually rather see him chase down Hack Wilson's RBI record over the homer record.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 24, 2007 -> 08:59 AM) I dont mind the length, but I half expected some sort of run-in during the match to make it exciting. HBK winning was pretty cool though, it was a great super kick off the FU The final 2 minutes of the match were good, I'll give them that. But damn, that match was constant submission after rest hold for an hour. A long match does not equal a good match. That match was ri-f***ing-diculously long and boring. It was not good.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
QUOTE(South Side Fireworks Man @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 11:44 PM) The game threads around here are an embarassment and make Sox fans look bad. Go to any other website dedicated to any sports team at all (besides WSI, because they ban you for anything), and you'll see the same exact thing.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
QUOTE(BearSox @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 11:27 PM) Gil Meche can actually turn into the steal of the 06-07 offseason. He looked real good today. Yeah...or the more likely scenario where he comes crashing down to Earth eventually.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
Very encouraging to see Konerko finally hitting. If he stays hot, expect a prolonged win streak.

Gotta say it. My faith in Jenks decreases after each of his appearances. This goes back to last year.

HBK and Cena have been in this match for about 40 minutes. There have been like 5 commercial breaks during it, and it's incredibly boring. I think this match has actually lasted over an hour. It must have something to do with Orton's actions, because he was supposed to wrestle Edge tonight. I just can't believe they couldn't come up with something better than an hour-long match that is way, way, way too boring. You couldn't throw together a mid-card match or two in a rush?

Ha, I think Ozzie is pretty dead-set on making sure a former Royal ends this inning.

Um, what's going on in the game. Gameday is frozen at a 3-1 count to Iguchi.

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 08:44 PM) 12 innings Cool, thanks. I was really kinda hoping he would go 18 consecutive somehow. But, I guess I'll have to deal with just 12. Meche has about 50 pitches through 3 innings. Me likey so far.

QUOTE(Middle Buffalo @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 02:44 PM) Yes - circa 1992. Alright, now I'm pretty serious about figuring this out because it's going to bother me. I'm just gonna say some bearded wrestlers from around that time. I can't think of anything having to do with a cajun accent. Berzerker? Barbarian? Warlord? QUOTE(whitesox91403 @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 02:45 PM) How about a mid card wrestler named Skinner? Shaggy beard, chewed and balding. Not cajun though. Ooh, that's a good one. That might well be it.

QUOTE(Middle Buffalo @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 02:25 PM) It wasn't him. I remember when he first joined the WWF. They used to show him in the crowd every week and talk about him. One week, Hogan got jumped in the ring (probably by Big John Stud), and HBJ jumped out of the crowd into the ring and saved him. He actually had fewer moves than Hogan. His submission hold was the Bear Hug. Ahhh, old school wrestling. Was this guy in WWF?

2007 White Sox Catch-All Thread
I was going to say this in the Buehrle no-hitter thread, but it got moved as I was typing. Wow, first no-hitter in 5 years for the AL? All the more impressive for Buehrle, considering the powerhouse offenses of the American League. Hell, the team he did it against are perennially great on offense.

QUOTE(Middle Buffalo @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 12:51 PM) About 15 years ago, a friend was treated very rudely by a WWF wrestler. I'll spare the details because the wrestler used some pretty nasty language, but I can't remember the wrestler's name. Another friend witnessed the verbal assault and he can't remember, either. Wrestling fans, I need your help. this type of stuff drives me crazy. I think the wrestler had some kind of Cajun character, my friend thinks he was a bearded guy and suggested Cactus Jack. That doesn't sound right to me. Can any of you throw out some 1992 era WWF wrestlers that fit either description? A lot of wrestlers had beards. Um, maybe Hillbilly Jim? Not cajun, but southern...that's the first thing that came to my mind.

THIS DATE IN WHITE SOX HISTORY: APRIL 22ND (The fight!)
Well, we all know the true galvanizing force for that team came just one day before this brawl, April 21. HINT And on another note, I always liked Jim Parque for things like that. He was a little guy, but he had some serious balls.

White Sox vs. Tigers, 4/22/07 (L)
QUOTE(Capn12 @ Apr 22, 2007 -> 08:37 PM) 3 games in a row for Flapjack Bobby, so it shoulda been Thornton in there, but instead we go with Aaaaaaaaardsma on the 3rd consecutive day. Not the best choice, but alot easier to say now that the game stats have been sent to Cooperstown. Aardsma is not a closer. This happens all over the league all the time. You put a regular reliever in a non-save situation and voila, blown save. It wasn't Ozzie's fault, he shouldn't have put Jenks in. He put his hottest reliever in (I mean that in a baseball sense, you sick bastard). That's what you do in this situation. Konerko had roughly 35 chances to drive in a run. He did not. Konerko has the blame for today's game.

And thats a White Sox loser...
Not Ozzie's fault. Konerko's.
