  1. QUOTE(Middle Buffalo @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 02:44 PM) Yes - circa 1992. Alright, now I'm pretty serious about figuring this out because it's going to bother me. I'm just gonna say some bearded wrestlers from around that time. I can't think of anything having to do with a cajun accent. Berzerker? Barbarian? Warlord? QUOTE(whitesox91403 @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 02:45 PM) How about a mid card wrestler named Skinner? Shaggy beard, chewed and balding. Not cajun though. Ooh, that's a good one. That might well be it.
  2. QUOTE(Middle Buffalo @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 02:25 PM) It wasn't him. I remember when he first joined the WWF. They used to show him in the crowd every week and talk about him. One week, Hogan got jumped in the ring (probably by Big John Stud), and HBJ jumped out of the crowd into the ring and saved him. He actually had fewer moves than Hogan. His submission hold was the Bear Hug. Ahhh, old school wrestling. Was this guy in WWF?
  3. I was going to say this in the Buehrle no-hitter thread, but it got moved as I was typing. Wow, first no-hitter in 5 years for the AL? All the more impressive for Buehrle, considering the powerhouse offenses of the American League. Hell, the team he did it against are perennially great on offense.
  4. QUOTE(Middle Buffalo @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 12:51 PM) About 15 years ago, a friend was treated very rudely by a WWF wrestler. I'll spare the details because the wrestler used some pretty nasty language, but I can't remember the wrestler's name. Another friend witnessed the verbal assault and he can't remember, either. Wrestling fans, I need your help. this type of stuff drives me crazy. I think the wrestler had some kind of Cajun character, my friend thinks he was a bearded guy and suggested Cactus Jack. That doesn't sound right to me. Can any of you throw out some 1992 era WWF wrestlers that fit either description? A lot of wrestlers had beards. Um, maybe Hillbilly Jim? Not cajun, but southern...that's the first thing that came to my mind.
  5. QUOTE(Balance @ Apr 23, 2007 -> 12:20 PM) The Bane of Colbert.... Never understood what that was supposed to be. HAHA! Wow, I completely forgot about that. Good f***ing times.
  6. One of the top 50 presidents of all time.
  7. Well, we all know the true galvanizing force for that team came just one day before this brawl, April 21. HINT And on another note, I always liked Jim Parque for things like that. He was a little guy, but he had some serious balls.
  8. QUOTE(Capn12 @ Apr 22, 2007 -> 08:37 PM) 3 games in a row for Flapjack Bobby, so it shoulda been Thornton in there, but instead we go with Aaaaaaaaardsma on the 3rd consecutive day. Not the best choice, but alot easier to say now that the game stats have been sent to Cooperstown. Aardsma is not a closer. This happens all over the league all the time. You put a regular reliever in a non-save situation and voila, blown save. It wasn't Ozzie's fault, he shouldn't have put Jenks in. He put his hottest reliever in (I mean that in a baseball sense, you sick bastard). That's what you do in this situation. Konerko had roughly 35 chances to drive in a run. He did not. Konerko has the blame for today's game.
  9. QUOTE(FlaCWS @ Apr 22, 2007 -> 03:46 PM) Give me a break. They had a two run lead with two outs in the bottom of the 9th. How is that on PK? Frankly I just don't understand Ozzie sometimes. Maybe Garland's pitch count was too high? Otherwise how do you take him out of the game? I just have no comprehension of that. None. You can't put this one on Ozzie. You're wrong.
  10. I wish Ozzie would pull PK from the game right now. Let him know he better get his s*** together immediately.
  11. This is squarely on PK. Absolutely horrendous today and may cost us a win.
  12. All you have to do is NOT GIDP. I can't believe someone could be in that deep of a rut.
  13. QUOTE(Capn12 @ Apr 22, 2007 -> 03:27 PM) Well if Erstad is getting it going with the bat, then we have one HUGE hole in the lineup left to get his s*** together...and he REALLY needs to behind Thome. I have no doubt that he'll heat up. I question whether Erstad can continue this little streak, though.
  14. I think Polanco just knocked Garland out of the game. Who pitches the 9th?
  15. Ha, gameday is so far behind you guys. WOOOOHOOOOOO, I guess.
  16. QUOTE(RME JICO @ Apr 22, 2007 -> 02:59 PM) Yes, but I changed it awhile ago (it was too common). So I just went with my other one that I use (RME = Army) (JICO = Joint Interface Control Officer) - my current occupation. Cool, and what was your old one?
  17. QUOTE(RME JICO @ Apr 22, 2007 -> 02:52 PM) Sox giving a great pitched game away (they must think Danks is pitching). 15 LOB with several in scoring position. I have a couple questions for you. Did you used to have another name on this site? And what does your current one mean?
  18. There's no way that Verlander should've pitched 7 innings today. That is unacceptable.
  19. You f***ing idiot. You honestly can't put a decent at-bat up?
