You're blind if you can't see that the blame falls mostly on Ozzie, Jenks, and Pods with a little tip of the cap to the middle of the order.

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 02:02 AM) I just don't see how Ozzie would get all the blame for this one when Jenks was pitching so s***ty. If you're an Ozzie-hater, you have to reeeeeeally stretch to blame this loss all on Ozzie or most of the blame on Ozzie and Podsednik over Jenks. Oh, they're all to blame. But listening to those supporting Ozzie, one would think all the blame is being heaped on him. We're spreading the blame around quite well.

It basically comes down to this. If you defend Ozzie for everything he does, then you have to reeeeeeally stretch to make an excuse here. If you are anybody else on the face of the Earth, you see he made a mistake mostly because he's pig-headed and severly dislikes Brian Anderson.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 01:32 AM) It's tough to say. Ozzie should have brought in BA or Pablo, sure, but either way, it doesn't guarantee that Bradley is out at home. Then again, I'm 95% sure I could have thrown out Bradley from the distace Pods tried to. Ask SoxAce if you don't believe me. Chances don't mean squat really. Thats just your way of saying "I'd be less pissed if it was BA or Erstad that missed the throw home." Give it a rest, and L is and L. That's ridiculous. Screw it, then. Throw Iguchi or Cintron out in left because even though the chances are that they'll play a worse outfield than Pods, chances don't mean squat. Why should we give it a rest when our manager does not put our team in positions to win and blatantly lies about giving Anderson a chance to win the CF job and playing him as a defensive replacement?

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 01:20 AM) I can't say this is pinned on Ozzie alone. To say he should have kept MacD in is silly. He's the set up man, Bobby is the closer. He didn't have his stuff. Not much you can do. Pods...yes, he messed up, but it really isn't his fault he was out there. I'll agree BA probably should have been in, but even if he was, Erstad would likely have gone to left, or maybe they bring Pablo is. No matter what, you can't guarantee either is going to throw Bradley out. It's a tough loss, sure, but it's not the end of the world. All you can do is hope Mark gets them tomorrow and the offense steps it up a notch or twelve. No, but I can guaran-f***ing-tee that the chances would be better. Ozzie should know that and go with the odds, not his gut or pure hatred of Brian Anderson.

White Sox vs. A's , 4/10/07 (L)
QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 01:16 AM) There's NO WAY IN HELL the ball didn't hit the wall first. The replays will confirm it. It bounced off his head on the rebound. And Canseco is a huge guy, Pods isn't. Does Canseco have a more muscular "top of head" than Pods? Is it more boney? I've seen pre-teen kids get hit in the melon with baseballs and have it hardly phase them.

QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Apr 11, 2007 -> 01:10 AM) Umm...because there's rubber padding out there and Pods hit the wall at the same time, so the padding was pushed inwards, creating more of a downward trajectory for the ball when it hit. If it landed directly on his head, he would have been knocked out. Are you f***ing serious? I mean, are you dead f***ing serious? And I can recall a few guys taking flyballs off the head, and none were knocked out.

WILL KENNY OR SOMEBODY IN THE MEDIA PLEASE CALL OUT OZZIE FOR OBVIOUSLY HAVING A PERSONAL GRUDGE AGAINST ANDERSON!??!

Sox Loss Postgame Thread
Ozzie has contributed directly to one loss already, and it's 7 games into the season. Also, take Jenks out of the closer role until he can throw hard again. MacDougal would look very good in that spot right now.

White Sox vs. A's , 4/10/07 (L)
Maybe we shouldn't let the fats*** close until he can throw a decent fastball? MacDougal doesn't seem to be having much trouble at all...

This is exactly the kind of thing that leads to us losing in Oakland.

QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 10, 2007 -> 11:41 PM) Actually, an "El Duque" would be Aardsma earlier this year, but yea, still a great job by Jon. Aardsma got out of a bases loaded, no out jam?

Just put in one more scoreless inning, Jon. His ERA is back to respectable.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Apr 10, 2007 -> 08:26 AM) So the backlash Raw Main event is going to be a Texas 4 way, first pin wins match? I cannot imagine a more creative way to get Cena/Orton/Edge/Michaels in the ring together /green. The WWE needs a heel turn that is going to surprise everyone. They need something crazy to happen besides a McMahon getting shaved CM Punk good enough for ya?

He's got 35 pitches through 3 innings. He's gonna go the whole 9.

Pac Man gone for season, Henry for 8 games
QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Apr 10, 2007 -> 02:17 PM) I dont know what to think of this, I really dont like rules that are put into place after the actions have taken place (ex post facto). The article implies that the NFLPA is agreeing with this, and if that is the case then I expect that the suspensions will stand. If however the NFLPA realizes that they are giving up an extreme amount of power by basically letting the commisioner suspend anyone for "detrimental conduct" and they decide to fight it, I really doubt that the suspensions will stand. I dont have the contracts or anything between the NFLPA, NFL, etc, but the fact that such a suspension has never happened before for much worse conduct, think Ray Lewis, Jamal Lewis, its hard for me to agree with such harsh suspensions. T Im of the belief that what you do on your own free time is just that, and as long as they are not breaking the law (which should be handled by the judiciary) then they can do whatever they want. If I want to go to a strip club and shower 40k, no one is going to stop me, so why should they not have the same freedom? Seems more like the No Fun League. They get paid ridiculous amounts of money to play a game. If they can't follow simple rules of conduct and basic human decency, that's too bad. They can go bag groceries if they're unhappy with it. They'll get no pity from 99% of people.
