DEVIN HESTER BAAAAAABBBBBBYYYYY
Milkman delivers replied to Chi Town Sox's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Has a player ever gotten 100 in any category whatsoever? I thought they made 99 the highest it could be. -
So much for sore arm, Verlander just hit 100
Milkman delivers replied to caulfield12's topic in The Diamond Club
QUOTE(caulfield12 @ Apr 6, 2007 -> 11:35 PM) The Royals are going to be tough if they can get outings like this by DeLaRosa. He's never had good control, but he shut down the Tigers most of the game and Riske (yes, that Riske) got the save pretty effortlessly. Magglio looks bad at the plate and especially in the field (looks like he has some kind of health isssue), and Sheffield appears, to me at least, to be a little overweight. It's a little different with Jose Mesa or Ledezma in the game, compared to the usual middle relief the Tigers put out there last year. I think they will miss Jamie Walker a lot. I-Rod actually led off. The Royals' fifth starter is Brandon Duckworth, but they're going with ace Gil Meche against Maroth tomorrow afternoon. I think they really wanted Brian Bannister to take the job, but he was shelled in ST. Elarton is coming back from injury and should be ready fairly soon. Even though they're 2-2, the pitching for the Royals has kept them close in every game except for the second game of the Red Sox series. OTOH, Alex Gordon is REALLY struggling so far out of the gate. But it's ONLY four games. Don't say that. Just because someone happens to pitch at the top of a rotation, it doesn't make that person an ace. Gil Meche is all the proof you'll ever need to prove that. He's their #1 pitcher, but there's no way in hell that he's an ace. Sorry, just a pet peeve. No offense to you at all, caulfield. -

I am going to see Grindhouse tomorrow. Don't get me wrong, I wanna see it, but I really don't know about sitting through over 3 hours of it.

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Apr 6, 2007 -> 02:17 PM) is Matsuzaka's first name actually pronounced "Dice-K" or does everybody just call him that because they think they're cool? They say that's how it's pronounced.

QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Apr 6, 2007 -> 01:38 AM) Very poor taste to put the Hayabusa one in there. Same for the Austin piledriver. And goddamn Hogan sandbagged on that chokeslam from Taker. Surprised to see just 1 Gayda botch and a few from the Briscoes. I've seen that before. It's like the Scott Steiner show. I swear he's in 1/3 of the clips. Which one is the Hayabusa one? And what exactly happened?

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
Milkman delivers replied to greasywheels121's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Welcome to the bigs, kid. -
I didn't actually get to see the game, but his line looks good. Did he look good?

This year's really not starting the way I'd hoped. Buehrle leaving the game and NOT being hurt is the best thing to happen in a while. That's sad.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 3, 2007 -> 12:15 PM) The Mariners? Talk about underachieving.

QUOTE(Y2HH @ Apr 3, 2007 -> 08:42 AM) If it's not Ozzie and KW's fault, it's Anderson versus Erstad and Pods, and once again that becomes Ozzie's fault. If it's none of the above, it's Walkers fault. If it's not Walkers fault, it'll be Razor Shines fault. Blah blah blah... If you move Iguchi down in the order, and he cannot hit, it's Iguchi's fault, it's not Walker, it's not Ozzie, it's not KW. If you can hit #2, you should be able to hit #7, #8 and #9, too...these are major league ballplayers, not t-ballers. No excuses should be necessary. The CONSTANT whining on this board is getting really old. If it's not one thing it's another thing. You know what I just realized...this board (almost the ENTIRE thing) is represented by Randy Quaid in Major League 2. You're not happy unless your b****ing about how much this team sucks, and if the team happens to do well, you'll just say, "it won't matter...they're just gonna blow it in the playoffs anyway." The characters name in ML2 was Jonny. All of you b****ing in this thread = Jonny. You're right. And leadoff hitters should be able to hit clean-up. And like somebody else was arguing the other day, LF's should be able to pitch and C's should be able to play 1B. I mean, they're professionals! It shouldn't be the manager or coaches' responsibility to put players in a position where they're more likely to succeed.

QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 2, 2007 -> 09:44 PM) 20 teams, but no room for WGTT???? I had the same thought. That's what made me think there'd be a 3rd Royale. Then, I remembered Carlito and Flair, so I thought they'd win it all.
-
I'm just glad they've given the belts to an actual tag team, not some makeshift one they've thrown together. I still think they were trying to unify the tag belts.
-
Ugh, I bet there will be a 3rd Battle Royale tonight. If Cena and HBK don't retain, Carlito and Flair will win the belts off of them. OK, I was wrong with that one...but, I really don't think the Hardy's were supposed to win that. When Kendrick threw himself out with Chavo, it really looked like they weren't supposed to go out. And it looked like Murdoch was listening to someone on the mat telling him what to do afterwards.
-
I used to hate HHH, but not in the "good" way. Now I wouldn't mind if he had another run as champion. Him or Kennedy would be nice. There are way too many faces in wrestling today, if you think about it. s***, even Flair's a face.
-
QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Apr 1, 2007 -> 07:50 PM) Well I'm 1/1. KENNEDY! 2/2 Khali I stand corrected... Don't understand the logic in having Edge's first wrestlemania loss be in an 8-man match.

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Apr 1, 2007 -> 05:32 PM) I thought of you today with the Perfect induction, Milkman. Was gonna drop you a line to see if you'd seen it but, alas, I saw you had here. Hooray! You better believe I was watching.

Which Tribe players would actually start for us?
Milkman delivers replied to scenario's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Apr 1, 2007 -> 04:56 PM) There are some I disagree with, but not to the point of arguing; however, what the hell dude? Just look at the numbers. Not even a healthy Pods is as good as Dellucci, and it's really not even close. Anyways, kind of a cool story, my boss back in Bismarck actually played youth baseball with Hafner. He wasn't nearly the monster that he is now, but he said he was still quite a bit better than everyone else. Kind of funny to think that the best hitter in the AL (IMO of course) is from a town of about 200 people. And a High School graduating class of like 6 (literally). -
QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 1, 2007 -> 05:29 PM) I'm fine with him when he's at his real position, but his lack of a batting eye and any defensive skills whatsoever in the outfield give me nightmares. I also love his hustle and heart, don't get me wrong. I thought we were discussing him as an infielder. My bad. I dislike him as an outfielder, too, but it's picking your poison between him and Pods.

80k fans say Sox best franchise in Chicago.
Milkman delivers replied to My Dixie Normus's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Apr 1, 2007 -> 04:20 PM) No, in fact, the higher the score, the more it says about your team. The Bears have a 64, but we know at least 20 came from one source. Kind of an aberration. The Cubs are 7. Doesn't that sum up their prospects? Surprisingly, the Blackhawks are 111. I assume that's got something to do with Canadians. Apparently the Cubs have absolutely no game...or they're smart enough to protect themselves. I still go with the former. -
Edge won't lose because they wouldn't have his streak broken in a match like this. If the streak were to be broken, it would be in a one-on-one match to put the opponent way over. Streaks like this are a great story. I think they would only break such a streak to really help some storyline. Why would they throw him in this 8-man match and have his streak broken when they can easily throw in another wrestler (like Flair or Carlito) to take up the 8th spot? I said streak roughly 27 times in this post.

Milkman delivers replied to My Dixie Normus's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Apr 1, 2007 -> 04:07 PM) Yes, 1 = the best, 2 = second best, etc. The Sox in 2007 were #52 in STD. Sadly, we'll never reach number 1 in that category. I think the Bears pretty much locked it up for the next 5 years with that whole Paris Hilton thing. I assumed 0 would be the best possible score. But I guess maybe it's impossible to be a professional athlete and not have some kind of STD. -
QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 1, 2007 -> 03:33 PM) Woot, WrestleMania tonight. My picks: WWE title match John Cena © vs. HBK Shawn Michaels World Title match Batista © vs. The Undertaker Battle of the Billionaires- special referee Stone Cold Steve Austin Bobby Lashley (w/ Donald Trump) vs. Umaga (w/ Vince McMahon) Money in the Bank Ladder Match Mr. Kennedy vs. Edge vs. Randy Orton vs. King Booker vs. Finlay vs. Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy vs. CM Punk US Championship match Chris Benoit © vs. Montel Vontavious Porter Women's Title match- Lumberjill rules Who Cares ECW Originals vs. the ECW New Breed Kane vs. the Great Khali Definitely agree with the Women's title match, ha. Definitely disagree with the Trump/McMahon one. I don't see any way in hell that Lashley loses. And I might disagree with the MVP one, though I don't watch Smackdown enough to know.
