QUOTE(Y2HH @ Feb 22, 2007 -> 02:23 PM) It's acceptable when he makes the difference he did in 05. The White Sox were simply BETTER when Pods was out there in 05. Or at least they played like it. Yea, that must be it. So how did we do last year with this awesome plate production and adequate defense of Mackowack platooning? Oh, thats right...3rd place. The year before, with Pods...how'd we do? Mackowiak actually produced well offensively last year. Unfortunately, he was placed in CF, a position he's not very good at. He is miles ahead of Pods defensively in LF, though.

QUOTE(Y2HH @ Feb 22, 2007 -> 02:20 PM) Ya know, I like Mackowack...but he just didn't do it for me in a Sox uniform, even considering where he's from. I felt more comfortable with an in jured Pods out there than I ever did with Mack. Not really sure why, either. You must not like your LF's to produce at the plate or provide adequate defense.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Feb 22, 2007 -> 01:51 PM) I've got a better idea. -
Dye: "It's about...finishing my career here."
Milkman delivers replied to ExpatNYC's topic in Pale Hose Talk
My only problem with Dye is that he's clearly losing a step out in RF. BUT, all of our problems would be solved if, say, we move him to LF in 2008 and sign a leadoff type hitter for RF. I wonder who that could be, though... -
QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Feb 22, 2007 -> 11:54 AM) Sure I know how to use the invisible font. Thew details are provided below: Did you get all that? You suck. I've already mastered the green font.

Dye: "It's about...finishing my career here."
Milkman delivers replied to ExpatNYC's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Funny thing is that I actually believe Dye, whereas I wouldn't believe basically any other professional baseball players. -
I really don't know where to ask this question, so I'll do it here. Does anyone know how to use invisible font on AIM? I've tried making the color of the words and the background white, but it just comes out grey.

My thoughts: It's not that hard to clean with a normal vacuum every once in a while. We are extremely lazy.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Feb 21, 2007 -> 05:41 PM) Did I say that America should get it's head out of it's ass and watch more FIFA? No. You're kind of coming off as elitist.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Feb 21, 2007 -> 04:32 PM) You sound so arrogant and ignorant it's unbelievable. Since when does America run the f***ing sports world? Give me a break. The clock has nothing to do with dramatics. Why? Because that's how it's always been. FIFA rules do not suck. There is a reason people laugh at American soccer, because they are trying to turn it into an American sport, something it isn't, and something it will never be. There is plenty of drama with a clock counting up. If you actually watched European soccer, the game gets frantic after the 80th minute especially when it's close. Sitting on the edge of your site for 15 minutes in soccer is far more dramatic than any 10 seconds in American basketball, football, or hockey. Stoppage time is stupid? It's there to make up for the foul time, injury time, and substitution time where there is a pause in play during the half. There is nothing more dramatic in stoppage time. A team down 2-1 and they have 3 minutes left to score. Nope, no drama at all. I don't mean to sound anti-American, but god damn, this is the s*** that pisses people off. Fire head coach Dave Sarachan said there is nothing going on and that they did pursue him, but nothing could get done. And nothing has been said or heard from Zidane's side yet. Well, you sort of do, too. In your opinion. If you don't like America, then you can geeeeeeeeeettttt out.

QUOTE(bad at best @ Feb 21, 2007 -> 02:56 PM) I knew picking up Erstad was a bad idea. It just gives Ozzie the opportunity to dick around with Anderson's playing time. Anderson better damn well earn that spot then. If that happens, we have nothing to worry about.

2007 White Sox Predictions Thread
Milkman delivers replied to southsider2k5's topic in 2007 Season in Review
I'm feeling confident in this team (of course, that'll all change on opening day all the way up to the end of the season). I'm going to say this team tops the 2005 one. Overall record of 100-62 and an 11-0 run through the playoffs. -
QUOTE(Hangar18 @ Feb 21, 2007 -> 04:30 PM) The Cubs hat ..............ecchhhhhhhhhhhh. reminds me of a highschool teams hat. Same with the Black Jays. Sorry, what?

QUOTE(The Critic @ Feb 21, 2007 -> 09:12 AM) So it doesn't step on any toes when Austin stunners Umaga to gain the win for Trump/Lashley. And then stunners Vince to get him in the barber chair. And then stunners the entire "creative" team for putting everyone through this. I think you absolutely nailed how it'll go down.

QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Feb 20, 2007 -> 01:01 PM) RIP Mike Awesome. It is sad that such a talent felt the need to extinguish itself. Just saw the news since my net has been out the past few days. Hooray Perfect going into the HOF. I marked HARD when that came on. Who do you think does the induction? Heenan? I can't wait for their discussed Mr. Perfect DVD set. I can't see it being anyone other than Heenan really. And honestly, that's just...perfect.

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Feb 20, 2007 -> 06:59 PM) Yeah, I believe that about assures a repeat of "most pessimistic" award. That's what I call a man's prediction. Haha, basically every aspect of this post is pessimistic...even the stuff not concerning the Sox. Kudos -
QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Feb 19, 2007 -> 10:59 PM) Ha, I was just going to PM you about that. I figured you would be all over it. hell of a collage with all of his good promos. I wasn't even watching, but the tv was on and I was vacuuming the dorm. I happened to glance up and saw him, so I immediately dropped everything and watched. I didn't even know why they were showing it...and then the HOF thing came up and I was pretty damn giddy. This is a good day for me and for wrestling.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Feb 19, 2007 -> 07:31 PM) I just laugh when I see ads for the Simpsons movie. I can't bare to watch a free 20 minute episode why the hell would I pay to see a 90 minute episode? They should have made it 10 years ago like they talked about originally. I thought I heard that it was actually written a long time ago? If so, it actually may be good.

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Feb 19, 2007 -> 07:55 PM) Or Jim Hungry doing it with relievers starting with Dumpster and Eyre last year. I know he has had a hard on for Soriano for a long time but I think he's going to regret that deal. Howry.

QUOTE(shoota @ Feb 19, 2007 -> 05:49 PM) I'm guessing you say him play Maris in 61? Yes, but he also really does look like him.
