Johan's got 76 pitches through 5 innings. If we can get some moderately good at-bats in the next two innings, we might get a crack at a reliever other than Nathan.
Wow, forget it. Those 3 at-bats aren't gonna cut it. Santana will be going 8 strong.
Great, great performance from the kid. He really is proving that he's a major leaguer.
Any chance Ozzie sends him back out there for the 7th with 97 pitches?

Good stuff by Danks. His fastball's been crisper than I expected.
They're not accurate at all.
Damn, that would've been a great little addition.
I'm thinking the best we can hope for is that Santana can only go 7 innings and we can make a comeback against whoever pitches the 8th before Nathan shuts us down.

SPOILER QUESTION for Planet Terror (Grindhouse)
I feel sort of stupid asking, but why -- in the first flick -- did everything keep blowing up? I didn't have a problem with it -- things randomly starting on fire is great -- but I didn't know why...
Stray bullets hitting gas tanks? That's the best I can come up with. I think Rodriguez was probably trying to make it a little ridiculous. The movie was just so over-the-top that that might be a reason for random explosions.
How many one-hitters does Santana usually throw in a season against every other team in baseball?
He must honestly do it three times a year to the Sox. I seriously mean that.

Damn, he was cruising till then. But we all knew it was coming. An 91 MPH fastball won't cut it.
What? There are tons of major leaguers that cut it with a 91 mph fastball.

I actually enjoyed Tarantino's movie a lot, it was way way more realistic than Planet Terror and I think the movie needed the talking, it also why his past movies have been successful. And like mentioned b4, when there was action it was top notch.
Thats not a knock on Planet Terror which still overall was prob the better movie. Also I think that the Machete trailor might be a real one that Rodriguez plans on working on.
A movie about a vehicular killer is more realistic than a zombie flick?! GET OUTTA TOWN!!!!
And I heard Machete is going to be a straight-to-video release.

Just got back from the game, well worth it after the nice outing by the Sox pitching staff.
Garland looks like a bad dude in your profile.

I prefer hitters with career BA of .365 or better for bases loaded situations.
It just seems that Crede is more apt to swing for the fences than, say, a guy like Iguchi, Dye, or Konerko.

Is Wade Boggs your favorite player in history now?
Close. Though I'm sure if Herbert Perry and Curt Hennig ever met, they'd hit it off nicely.

Zero.
It was about a 40-45 on the 20-80 scale last year. A below average pitch that he couldn't throw for strikes with regularity.
He looked to have much better command of it in Atlanta, and I would have graded it as an above average pitch from what I saw there. We haven't really seen it during the regular season though.
Thanks for the input.

Most impressive thing of the start was I didn't see anyone spell Vazquez wrong in this thread.
Are you talking about Javier Vasquez?
Just got back from Grindhouse. I'll echo what others have said. The first movie (Rodriguez) was much better than the second (Tarantino). The second did have its moments, though.
