This just proves what I've always known. I'm a dork, but I'm not that much of a dork.

QUOTE(Brian @ Jan 28, 2007 -> 01:54 PM) Royal Rumble is always top notch in my opinion. Even the worse booked ones (1999) seem to entertain me. I'm pulling for Orton or HBK. The Rumble is easily my favorite PPV. It's just so different from the other events. I'm thinking Undertaker for this Royal Rumble. He just better not have his streak of WM wins snapped by Batista.

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jan 26, 2007 -> 03:05 PM) Maybe, but he shouldn't have been running his mouth in the first place. Running his mouth? For the love of God, he was almost certainly just playing around. I'm pretty sure at some point in my life I said, "I'd give my left nut for the Sox to win the Series." And luckily nobody has ever come to collect on that "promise." -

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jan 26, 2007 -> 12:38 PM) I'm of the opinion that people shouldn't offer things insincerely like that, and certainly not atheletes on TV, public access or not. He should give him the tickets he told him he'd give him, but he won't. Bulls***. Harris should tell this guy to blow him. He was more than generous by offering him a signed jersey and tickets to a game next year. -

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Jan 26, 2007 -> 03:12 AM) It's because he hasn't given himself a self-proclaimed nickname or b****ed at coaches while then following it up with an Irish jig (otherwise known as the Ashlee Simpson two-step) in the endzone. If he was like "YO CALL ME BB, CUZ I'M AS FAST AS A BB OUT OF A GUN" or some other stupid s*** such as that, then he would be loved by everyone from ESPN and his clip would be considered one of the best of all time. It's the same general philosophy that makes Uribe's into-the-stands catch in game 4 inferior to Derek Jeter's dive into the stands, even though only one of them caught the ball WHILE in the stands. Ha, that's so terrible. -
I think Haeger wins that last spot.

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jan 21, 2007 -> 10:21 PM) I can't believe Reche Caldwell's two drops. That's the s*** that usually happens to the team facing the Patriots, not them. -

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jan 21, 2007 -> 10:18 PM) I gotta say Im glad we arent facing Belichek in the Superbowl. I think the Bears defense will be able to hold back the Colts offense better than the Colts defense will be able to hold back the Bears offense. I'm so glad, though I never thought it'd happen. The Patriots scare the s*** out of me. At least with the Colts, you have the opportunity to run up a score on them and hope you can play defense enough. -

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jan 21, 2007 -> 08:30 PM) I mean absolutely no offense to Colts fans here, but anyone who actually thought the Patriots might lose to Indy was crazy. They never had a chance, no matter what the circumstances. This s***'s like clockwork. New England and Indianapolis meet in the playoffs, Peyton Manning sucks, strange plays go in favor of the Patriots, and the Colts inevitably lose. Then again, I'd still be pretty happy if the Colts had a miraculous comeback. -

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 21, 2007 -> 08:12 PM) I swear to God, every single one of these Patriots/Colts playoff games looks exactly the same way. Peyton comes out for the first 20 minutes expecting to have an easy time of throwing the ball deep, keeps failing at it, gets beaten up by the Patriots, winds up throwing a pick or two, and then suddenly starts going to shorter underneath routes, and suddenly it starts working and they start moving the ball, but they're already in a big hole. I mean absolutely no offense to Colts fans here, but anyone who actually thought the Patriots might lose to Indy was crazy. They never had a chance, no matter what the circumstances. This s***'s like clockwork. New England and Indianapolis meet in the playoffs, Peyton Manning sucks, strange plays go in favor of the Patriots, and the Colts inevitably lose. -

That game followed the usual Patriots' script. I swear, New England games are easily the most predictable in sports. They always have those flukey plays go their way, penalties on the other team, etc. -
Trent Reznor supposedly said something along the lines of Cash topping his own version of Hurt. Something like, "he made the song his own." I'm probably a little biased since I'm not a NIN fan and a huge Cash fan, but Cash's version blows the other version out of the water.

How the hell does any MLS team have that money to throw around? Nobody watches soccer.

QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Jan 8, 2007 -> 05:01 PM) Ethan Albright re-ups with Washington. Pretty good for a guy with a zero kick return rating. Well, f*** me sideways with a lunchbox. -
QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Jan 10, 2007 -> 05:16 PM) Or by Bare Naked Ladies. Actually, I think the version you're talking about is the one by the Gourds. When it was on limewire, it was mistakenly labeled as being by Barenaked Ladies, Phish, etc. I'll throw another one out there, since not many here are country fans. Amarillo By Morning by George Strait, which is considered one of the greatest country songs of all time. It was originally done by Chris LeDoux.

I can't think of many players more deserving of being unanimously voted into the Hall than Tony Gwynn. The guy was nothing but class and his numbers are undoubtedly HOF caliber. -

I liked the Arlovski and Griffin fights much more. Arlovski knocked his opponent out with a punch while on his back...that's some insane strength. And Griffin just got his ass handed to him.

Went to Best Buy yesterday with 75 bucks in gift cards. One of the movies I bought was Blazing Saddles My Lord, I am happy with that purchase.
