  1. I'm pretty confident in Game Of Thrones sticking around as long as it wants to. It's got the huge crowd appeal due to the graphic violence, like Walking Dead. Unlike Walking Dead though, it follows it up with great plot, acting, dialogue, etc.
  2. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 4, 2013 -> 12:07 PM) I dont disagree with this. It's like the television version of Gordon Beckham. And you can't blame somebody for being frustrated with Gordon Beckham.
  3. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 4, 2013 -> 12:00 PM) Im not taking it personally. I stopped arguing with him a long time ago over the issues he had with the show, it is what it is. I turn my brain off to watch the show, its a zombie apocalypse. There isnt much realism in it They could do SO MUCH MORE with it, though. It's a show I watch more for its potential than what it actually provides.
  4. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Dec 4, 2013 -> 11:58 AM) ^This I didn't even know 90% of the character's names by the end of season 1. That's because most of the people are there simply as future zombie victims. What are we, like a couple of years into the zombie apocalypse at this point on the show? Anyone still alive at this point would, by any type of Darwinian logic, be an elite survivor. And you still apparently have an endless number of morons that will walk right into a shambling zombie. It's something the show needs, though, as people basically only watch for the killings. They just write it so badly.
  5. I still watch it, but I think anyone with half a brain knows that Walking Dead is one of the most poorly-written shows on TV.
  6. The actors and their talents aside, the only thing I know for sure is that the Fast & Furious movies do not warrant this level of speculation/discussion.
  7. Nobody would watch if they got rid of Darryl.
  8. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 3, 2013 -> 09:12 AM) Nope. I love the best show on television. I believe I've seen you place that label on roughly 20 shows. It loses its meaning.
  9. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Dec 1, 2013 -> 01:48 PM) A Fangraphs article suggests Franks is not inducted this year, based on the HOF's unwritten rule of only electing a maximum of 3 players a year. They think Frank would be the 4th guy in. Exactly why I think he'll get screwed.
  10. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Nov 27, 2013 -> 11:55 AM) That's an egregious hyperbole. Of course it is. My point is that there is a ton of that sentiment.
  11. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 27, 2013 -> 07:15 AM) I blame him for stealing my wife's wallet. "protect the guilty!" - said no one ever. EVERYONE says that today, it seems.
  12. Hoover THREATENED to pin it on Garvey and paint Narcisse as the informant who gave him up. Along with the threat of deportation, Narcisse agreed to actually BE an informant.
  13. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 23, 2013 -> 11:22 PM) I love that you did. +1
  14. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 23, 2013 -> 10:59 PM) I agree that was a very crazy scenario, although I wonder how much the Commodore's old friends was involved, they showed him happy when she was getting arrested. I have a feeling Chalky is still gonna be a key character in the show, if not then a lot of that was a waste of time. Maybe his new friends in the country will come join the war. Yeah, it seems as if Nucky knows what's going on, so that should be interesting. The Commodore's friend, Leander, said he set it up. And I think it's clear that Chalky's old mentor's men are going to help him.
  15. I hope he gets in on the first ballot, but I see him getting screwed. I think Biggio gets in this time, and I believe that hurts Frank's chances even more.
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 22, 2013 -> 10:46 AM) Maddux will be in the 99% range, as well he should. As for Tom Glavine, I think Thomas's HOF credentials are better than his. You'd be a fool to believe the HOF voters won't put Maddux and Glavine in at the same time. The stories write themselves.
  17. I'm just glad that Gillian is going away.
  18. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 8, 2013 -> 09:59 AM) He was clearly trying to ram the cops and almost ran over several people. I have no problem with shooting there. Meth is a crazy thing. You don't gotta tell me. It seems some others don't see it that way though.
  19. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Nov 6, 2013 -> 09:18 AM) I'm sure it's that simple. I didn't read that he almost killed anyone, just that he hopped a curb. Ultimately it seems that he wouldn't turn his car off, so that means shoot to kill I guess. Trained professionals make mistakes - there's obviously going to be a huge investigation into this thing to see if that's the exact protocol that should be followed. I'm quite sure there were a million other factors, not just that he refused to turn the car off.
  20. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Nov 5, 2013 -> 10:46 PM) Weird. I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to shoot and kill someone only if they don't turn their car engine off. I read that the guy almost ran over several people while trying to flee in the truck. At that point, he's using a deadly weapon. But I guess your smarmy attitude means you know more than the trained professionals on scene.
  21. I always thought he was pretty damn good technically.
  22. Van Alden's story finally gets really interesting. And I would guess that Nucky will find some use for an unstoppable killing machine.
