QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 3, 2013 -> 06:14 AM) Boldfingers "Baby Blue", the song at the end of the Breaking Bad finale, has gone up 3000% in sales since Sunday. Ironically enough, I'm pretty sure their lead singer committed suicide over financial issues. If only he could've held out a few decades.

His plan was clearly to kill Jesse along with the Nazis. That didn't go to plan either. He made the choice after seeing Jesse in shackles. Not surprised at all to see Jenks at least somewhat take away from it, though haha.

That's awesome, Chili. My favorite scene from Malcolm In The Middle.
-
Again, like with Gus, I feel like it was more hinted at.
-
Not sure why I said Ecuador haha. That DOES make sense, but Gus was so interesting that I would've liked to have them go into more detail about him. But maybe a little mystery in his past is what makes him so interesting.

The finale had some stretches for sure, but they weren't unbelievable. Walt was able to poison Lydia because she always sits in the same exact spot and uses the stevia. He put the ricin in the ONLY packet, ensuring that she'd grab the right one. The gun in the trunk was definitely a stretch in that it was able to get everyone, including the guy outside. But that's something I can accept because it's still possible as long as people are in the right spots when it goes down. Honestly, the hardest part to believe was that Walt would be able to sneak in to speak with Skyler without the cops noticing. For my money, by far the best show I've ever seen. The only questions I would've liked to have seen answered, just for personal knowledge, even though they don't matter too much to the plot were: -What did Gus do in Ecuador that prevented the cartel from killing him originally? -What exactly happened between Walt and the rich couple (probably a love triangle, I'd imagine)? -When did Gale give Walt that book? I don't recall the exchange, but they definitely showed Gale's rough draft of the inscription he wrote in the book. I figure since it was the first piece of evidence that put Hank on Walt's tail, they probably should've shown how he received it. But then again, that might very well be a deleted scene that's gonna be on the DVD.

Ha, I can't believe people have complaints about that. It wrapped up perfectly.

I was literally standing right in front of the TV for the last few minutes.
-
I'm impressed that they were able to sneak Robert Forster onto the show without anyone finding out. Pretty cool to put a face to the vacuum guy.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 16, 2013 -> 09:11 PM) It is the most ridiculous thing you will ever see. Loved it. It will be cancelled immediately I fear. You're probably right. I watched it because it was on when I woke up from a nap. I liked it as well for some reason.

And you’re too stupid to see he made up his mind ten minutes ago.

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Sep 9, 2013 -> 11:10 AM) OK seriously, as a cop, there is no way you get into a gun fight being out manned and out gunned like that. I mean, what's the point of returning fire like that when you have limited rounds. Are you just praying to take a few of them down before you die? Walt didn't get shot because of the obligatory, "get down and pray no bullets hit you" technique. Haha whatever you say.

QUOTE (Y2HH @ Sep 9, 2013 -> 10:59 AM) Easier to be frazzled when the target is returning fire, vs sitting on a dirt bike. That's probably exactly it.
-
Just watched it. Anyway, accuracy in gun fights goes down a ton. As the standoff was progressing, you can see Hank and Gomez begin to position themselves behind the engine block, which is exactly where you'd want to be. In reality, they're safer there than the skinheads are on top of the trucks or in the door frames. The better question is how Walt didn't get shot inside the SUV. And they likely didn't show their badges because they know they're gonna be shot anyway, and reaching for it would make them even easier targets. They're definitely out of rounds, though. They are both probably killed in the opening of the next episode. It WAS odd to see Todd look so frazzled after shooting the kid so easily and accurately before.

Beaten to the punch.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 6, 2013 -> 05:04 PM) I watched the roast of James Franco. Not bad. Those roasts are brutal in terms of insults. Hearing so many guys calling Sara Silverman old was pretty damn funny. And the jokes regarding the comic from India were pretty damn funny as well. Also Jonas Hill blasting Bill Hader for leaving SNL was also funny. Didn't realize South Carolina was in India.

He also talked about the reveal of the ricin cigarette, which is brand new even though most of us figured it, and the previews for next week. And I believe he's done the same thing in the movie thread.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Aug 26, 2013 -> 02:20 PM) And one that tied in so many elements from previous seasons. Every scene has a purpose, whether we figure it out that episode, the next one, or 3 seasons later. We all saw how that weird pink teddy bear stuff not ONLY was an reference to the plane crash, but also foreshadowing what would eventually happen a couple seasons later to Gus Fring (half the face missing/burned). You should consider the spoiler tags, man.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Aug 25, 2013 -> 08:59 AM) I absolutely loved The World's End. Oh yeah, same here.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Aug 22, 2013 -> 09:45 AM) I can't wait to see The World's End this weekend. I love Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz and based on reviews this appears to be on par with those. Completely agree.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Aug 15, 2013 -> 05:50 PM) No he doesn't. Guys scoring on a wild pitch while you are at the plate is never an RBI. I realize in little league every kid thinks this, OMG I got an RBI, but they've got it wrong. Man, condescending. The guy didn't know a random rule.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 13, 2013 -> 09:24 AM) Yeah, he directs premieres so he has time to scope out locations and what-not, s*** he can't do mid-season. I see we both read the article on hitfix haha.

QUOTE (onedude @ Aug 12, 2013 -> 07:29 PM) Happened to notice Bryan Cranston directed the episode He's directed a few, I think all premieres.
