Saw the new Hobbit today. The character they created, Tauriel, well you could tell she wasn't part of the actual book. She seemed forced into the plot and just really stood out in a bad way. She's the love interest for a couple of the characters, and the scenes depicting that seem like they were written and directed by a high school drama instructor.

But do they start enforcing the rule that catchers can't block the plate before having the ball? If not, this creates a huge double standard. The catcher can stand right in the way with impunity, knowing that the runner will have to go out of his way or be penalized.

I honestly don't know how some of you guys keep up the pace. I started out strong, but then faded huge in the stretch. Probably took me 5 years to get those last few thousand posts, I just hung around long enough to piece it together slowly. I'm like the Fred McGriff or Craig Biggio of posting.
