Damn good at-bat for Uribe, but it ended in a K of course. -

QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 03:59 PM) Probably just an off day for Konerko. Ozzie usually likes to rest some of his regulars before an off-day, so they can have back-to-back off days. With the way Dye's been swinging, there is no way he needs to sit. Here's where we get an idea of how well Dye can transition to first for next year when PK is not on the team anymore. -
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 03:47 PM) Changed your name to Reds GM just so you know for logging in. Thanks, now it's time to get into fire-sale mode

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 03:22 PM) It did for me at first, but then it worked. Did you just leave it for a while and it came up, or did you just click the link a bunch of times until it worked?

QUOTE(qwerty @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 03:35 PM) When you sign up for the sim league message board make your screename the city of your team followed by ''gm''. Anyone that has done so differently we can change. Yeah, you're gonna have to change mine because I'm a f***in' idiot.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 03:38 PM) That jokes been used twice already in this thread, you guys need some comedy lessons from Crede. I'm already a terrible hitter and a good defender, there's nothing Crede can teach me

QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 03:24 PM) Because that's what's being discussed...... http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2101669 Well, don't I feel like an ass...

QUOTE(BDavisFutureHOF @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 03:28 PM) Holy s*** -- just got the same confirm # for a second time How the hell do you remember having the same number?

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 03:19 PM) Schilling to the bullpen. The new BoSox closer? What are you talking about? Kurt Schillling is like the best starter in base ball hands down. He won thtem the world series when he couldnt even walk right. They won't disrespect him by sending him to the bullpen right after all he did for them. /ignorant poster that can't sense sarcasm

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 03:17 PM) He almost called him Hideki. And apparently Crede has really come out of his shell this year. I guess all those hours in the batting cage gave him some time to watch some Family Guy. So he actually did call him Tadahito Iguchi at some point? I just want to make sure he didn't blatantly call him by the wrong name.
-
He really forgot Iguchi's name? And I have a hard time believing that Crede is the funniest guy on the team. That is, unless he meant that he was hilariously bad on offense.

QUOTE(qwerty @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 02:40 PM) Sign up here as your team name. It will be the ootp message board. http://s12.invisionfree.com/SoxTalk_Sim_League/index.php? Here is basically where you play the game from. http://free.hostultra.com/~SoxTalkOOTP/ We have figured out it works the best on internet explorer. Most of us that have already tried it don't seem to get pop ups. If you do get a pop up do not close it because you won't get anymore. If you guys have any problem with the site give us soem feed back and we will get another host. That second link just keeps coming up as a blank page for me.

MLB just released a statement: "We are pleased to inform our loyal fans that voting for the final spot for each league will continue for another day. This extra day of voting will be slightly different than these last few days. Voting will only be allowed in New York, Minnesota, and the Northside of Chicago due to an unforeseen error in the polls. We wish to congratulate all of the players involved and God bless Derek Jeter."

QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 12:39 PM) You know what. I totally agree with you. This is one of the reasons I can't get people slobbing all over "has been" Schmidt. He's worse with no hope of getting better and people are willing to give up top prospects for him because he was an ace 2 years ago. No Moyer doesn't get me excited either. There is no way in heck that Schmidt is worth more then Moyer considering Moyer is the better pitcher and healthier at this point. Honestly I wouldn't package more then Joe Borchard and a couple of low level prospects for either one of them but thats just me. STFU, you don't know that and all you do is preach it like it's fact.

Iguchi's boosts don't go unnoticed

QUOTE(Carlo Paz @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 01:19 PM) I love that valentine Southsider. I gave it to my girlfriend for valentines this year (I'm much smoother than Ralph Wiggum though). You smoother than Ralph? That's unpossible. -
QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 12:24 PM) I hope I'm wrong, but I'm getting a little tired of "can't miss prospects" coming up to the majors and becoming a bust. Just once, I want one guy to thrive and I hope it's this guy. There's one fact that makes me feel better about his chances of succeeding. He's not from our farm system. All of the good pitchers we have, excluding Buehrle, are from some other teams' draft. I am confident this guy will be someone eventually.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 02:25 AM) They still get to play the Royals 11 more times, which means an automatic 9 or 10 more wins.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 01:45 AM) I cant believe that article called him a bad manager.... In my opinion there are 3 managers that are >>>>> than the rest... Loue Piniella, Frank Robinson, and Bobby Cox..... the other 27 managers couldnt hold their jock straps when it comes to managing. I don't understand all the love for Frank Robinson. I'm sure he's a great guy, but what the hell has he done as a manager? And the Sox have a habit of scoring early, so I like the idea of having one of TB's s***bag relievers in there early. -

QUOTE(Jeckle2000 @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 09:28 AM) I'd hardly call 4 ER's over 5 IP being "molested" especially out of our #4 starter. And I'd hardly call 1 bad start out of 4 a s***ty performance. -
AND THATS A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!!

I'm pretty sure Contreras got molested the last time he faced the Rays, so there's something to look forward to. If Contreras sucks it up again today, KW will almost certainly make a move, IMO. Let's just say I expect very little from the Count. Anyone know how many innings Jenks can go?
