QUOTE(DABearSoX @ Jul 11, 2005 -> 12:41 PM) I dont want paulie in it anyway......other then that I dont really care......it would be funny to see a guy like pudge or bay win it this year I certainly don't want Pudge to win it. I really don't like that guy. It'd be hilarious to see Choi win it, though. Imagine that? Throughout the stadium and living rooms around the country, a collective "WTF?" would be heard. I'll be rooting for Teixeira because he's the American, of course. But Choi gets my support if Tex can't do it, only for the comedic value.

That part was awesome. I hope he gets a huge steal in a close game that leads to the AL winning. That would be amazing, and absolutely everyone would have to eat their words.

Can someone copy and paste what Kruk said? -
QUOTE(GoArow33 @ Jul 11, 2005 -> 11:32 AM) Francona's a little b****. Isn't Ozzie managing the best team in baseball? That's what I thought. f*** off Terry. Terry Francona is managing the defending world champions. I don't care for the Red Sox or Francona, but he can talk pretty much as much s*** as he wants.

I really hope we don't get Wells. He seems like the kind of guy that will thrive only in a completely pressureless environment.

Remember when people were saying we shouldn't trade for Randa because of his back problems and Crede has nothing wrong with him? That might not be true anymore.

QUOTE(soxhawks @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 09:04 PM) choi has 13 homers, and 4 came in one game. I think just 3 came in one game. 4 would've tied the record.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 07:37 PM) I love bringing my son to the fundamentals deck. It can make any bad game seem good. From todays game. For those who need to feel good about this game. Here it is. God I love my new digital camera. Wow...

Quick question. How many more times are we going to see Walker again this year? I want to say none, but I have a feeling we'll see him at least one more time.

GAME THREAD 7-10-2005 SOX vs A's
Milkman delivers replied to rangercal's topic in 2005 Season in Review
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 06:33 PM) Willie has 6 more walks and 15 less ABs Just playing devil's advocate here. Before today's game, Ozuna's average was better than Willie's OBP. -
Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

QUOTE(bulokis @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 06:50 PM) A's owned the SOX, we keep bowing down to them. I was looking at the schedule, we are done with the world champions Oakland A's (when against the SOX)for the rest of the season. A's SOX :puke It makes me even more mad that people were calling for a sweep of the A's before the first game started. That's just asking for trouble.

QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 06:41 PM) I just came back from the game, and I'll tell you what I found to be shocking. Jason Kendall had 2 dinks to rightfield drop again today. Carl Everett positions himself for Jason Kendall in exactly the same spot he plays for Eric Chavez. That's ridiculous. Vizcaino had the dreaded lead off walk, and that kills you almost every single time. Harris fails to advance the runner, but it really didn't matter as Rowand pops up to the firstbaseman on the first pitch. I was there, too. As soon as Ozuna screwed up in the 11th again, I felt like it was over. When Harris K'd in the bottom of the 11th, I knew it was over. It's a damn shame, too, because I thought Timo's hit was leading to the end. That game sucked.

QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 06:19 PM) There were two good things in this game, exactly two. PK finally did something besides pull the ball every single time. That made me happy. And Politte did his thing again. Now here are the bad things: Ozzie - Learn how to f***ing manage better. Ozuna is N O T a 3B. Ozuna - You're not a 3B, but you look like a 12-year-old girl out there. You can't possibly be that bad. Freddy - Nothing like giving up a run every single inning, huh? Hermanson - Cannot pitch more than 1 inning, or else he gets bombed. Cotts - No control today, it happens. He shouldn't have been in there so long with his terrible control. Willie - See ya in Charlotte. You really are dumb. I forgot: Rowand - Stick that needle back in your ass, you need it. Widger - No magic left. Vizcaino - Nothing's changed.

Did Ozzie Leak It? He did!!!!

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 12:32 PM) Haha, that's from one of his songs, but no, he didn't direct it to the AL Central. I kind of thought so. That'd be cool, though. -

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 12:28 PM) Only fitting that our true ace heads to the bump. Hope this is the first of many to come for you Mark. Is that quote in your sig real? -
QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 11:35 AM) I blame all this on Moises Alou. If he hadn't acted like a god damn fool, no big deal is made. The funny thing is, Moises acts like it would've been an easy routine catch had Bartman not gotten in the way. That was gonna be one hell of a difficult play either way. Anyway, you're still my hero Mr. Bartman. That's the truth. Alou blew the whole thing out of proportion and rattled his own team, but it was perfectly representative of that team. They had no idea how to deal with things when they went bad, blamed someone else, and did nothing to help themselves. Who knows what would've happened if Alou had kept his cool and played it off like it was just a foul ball that was out of reach. Maybe Gonzalez keeps his cool and doesn't bobble that DP ball. Maybe the Cubs win (I can't say I'm not happy about that one. Thanks, Alou ). And most importantly, maybe Steve Bartman's life doesn't get ruined by a team and a fanbase that he "loved."

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 12:12 PM) Yeah I said in the minor league teams Id expect our offense to be absolutely the same except replace Pauly with Anderson(a course Anderson wouldnt bat in Pauly's spot) But I dont think we would really experiance a drop off offensively because Pauly hurts this team so much losing him would be almost addition by subtraction. Although he did win Buehrle that game vs Seattle earlier in the year How many games has he come up with an RBI opportunity and completely f*** up? Quite a few. I'd say he's cost us plenty of games.

I'm surprised he's gonna start on so little rest. That's why I was certain it would go to Garland. Either way, congratulations to MB. -
QUOTE(DukeNukeEm @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 10:59 AM) Guys. Ozzie has talked to Uribe, I'm sure. IF you think they'll trade for Vizquel just because Juan didnt run out one fly ball, you're an idiot. Carlos Lee? And I don't think anyone said that Uribe would be traded just because he didn't run out a fly ball. He'd be traded because he's not producing, and this incident would give them more reason to go through with a trade. If you can't read what people wrote, you're an idiot.

GAME THREAD 7-10-2005 SOX vs A's
Milkman delivers replied to rangercal's topic in 2005 Season in Review
If Crede is gonna be out, Uribe should be at 3B and Ozuna at SS. Isn't that obvious? -
QUOTE(YASNY @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 10:05 AM) I know you don't want to see it happen, but I think it will. We'll see. I sure don't want it to happen, but I also don't think it'll happen.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Jul 10, 2005 -> 09:58 AM) A dollar to a donut says our starting 1B on opening day 2006 is .... Paul Konerko. Not a chance. He's gonna sign a deal very similar to Sexson's. This organization realizes that he doesn't belong here. He fits the mold of this team as much as Mo Vaughn does. Konerko will sign a deal with the Yankees or Red Sox or some other team with money to throw away. There's absolutely no chance Konerko stays here.
