boras's comments today made it sound like the sox were still communicating with him about maggs, and others possibly, in contrast to kw saying they wouldnt deal with boras. perhaps its kenny's way of 'flying under the radar' ? on another note, which would you rather have: uribe at ss or maybe be able to sign nomar for a smallish 2 yr contract, with performance incentives, to protect us from injuries? uribe could spell him and/or willie at 2nd etc?

did he decide it would be less of a chance of damage if he only did bullpen work, or was it stl's decision?

i would like nelson, his injuries may hurt his value tho. but wast osuna out with injury most of this last season? ... eldred seemed to be okay in setup role, but if you remember when he was with the sox, he had a stress fracture that was said would never really heal, so he could be not a good choice either

thomas's contract has neutral options for the next couple years player's option for xxx dollars, if player declines option, team can pick up option for xx dollars. each year the dollars change tho its not a buyout
