  1. QUOTE(AirScott @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 03:39 PM) anybody suppose Marcus Vick will just declare for the draft now? I wouldn't draft him.
  2. Uh Oh This site was the site that broke the news that Matt Lawton was on Steroids.
  3. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 11:42 AM) Oh ok, because every defense is the same right? And you are the judge who determines when someone is healty right? In his first game, when he was healthy, he barely broke 100 yards vs a MAC team, but you have him gaining 1500 yards? Wow dude, just wow. 218 yards against Michigan State. Over 100 yards against best defense in the Big Ten (Penn State) and he had a good game against the Gophers.
  4. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 11:35 AM) Where do you get that information? Based on your "predictions" I would guess pulling it out of your ass. His yards/carry were at the bottom of the conference. hurt or not, you are full of it, the RB at Indiana outperformed him on similar attempts. Would he have gotten 1500 yards if he carried the ball more too?? Next thing im going to hear is that Jason Avant is the best WR in the nation. Derek Hagan is.

Would he have gotten 1500 yards if he carried the ball more too?? Next thing im going to hear is that Jason Avant is the best WR in the nation. I did his averages for the games that he was healthy. When healthy he averaged 125.2 Yards a game. That would be 1502 yards.
  6. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 09:30 AM) He had ONE good year and you are calling him a proven back and a heisman candidate. Thats the point, nobody is questioning that he is a good running back, he had a good freshman year and a BAD soph year. Even if he was injured, he still had 150 attempts which is still a full season for some backs. You, on the other hand, are saying that Hart is now one of the best players in the country moving forward. Thats ridiculous considering hes not even the best RB in the big ten, not even in the top 10 players in the big ten, so it makes no sense for you to make Heisman claims. You need to come to terms with that. Um you do realize he was injured. Had he been healthy all year he would've gone over 1,500 yards.
  7. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 02:58 AM) Would Seattle still be the #1 seed in the NFC if they didn't have Alexander? You can argue that they would have still made the playoffs, but that most likely would have been as the 5 or 6 seeds. Don't forget when the Pats went on that 4 game winning game streak towards the end of the seasons, the defense only gave up just under 8 points per game over the 4 games. The defense playing the way they did was a huge factor to them getting to the playoffs at the end of the season. Brady also had monster games with average receivers and not a great O-Line or RB situation. Alexander deserves Player of the Year however MVP should go to Brady.
  8. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jan 6, 2006 -> 02:11 AM) I agree with you here. That just made ZERO sense. What I am saying is that Tom Brady meant more to his team. Alexander was great however Tom Brady is the only reason the Patriots have a shot in the playoffs. He broke 4,000. Where would the patriots be without Tom Brady? They have no run game because Cory Dillon was hurt a lot of the time and the defense was bad. It has started to get better but Brady pretty much carried that team. Call me crazy but I still think the Seahawks could've won without Alexander. The Patriots wouldn't be in the playoffs if they didn't have Tom Brady.
  9. If you want you can go to Itunes and download all of the BCS games for $1.99 per. I love watching the WVU and Georgia game.
  10. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 06:31 PM) holy schnikies! 10-1?!?!?! Is Bobby Valentine creating this scenario himself? now that is bulls***. Was the guy who created that article high?
  11. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jan 3, 2006 -> 06:23 PM) From MJH. It is on the website at www.espn1000.com
  12. QUOTE(Dam8610 @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 05:58 PM) Why didn't they just give the award to Walter Jones and Steve Hutchinson? Those two are responsible for pretty much everything Alexander did this season. I wouldn't go that far. Alexander is a great running back and any other year he would deserve it. This is the wrong year.
  13. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 05:53 PM) Where did Brady go to college again? that has nothing to do with it. He was the best player on his team. If they didn't have him they wouldn't have a prayer of making noise in the playoffs. Yes Alexander had a great season and I was his biggest fan (he was on my fantasy team) however half of that credit goes to that offensive line. Brady had to do it all on his own pretty much.
  14. QUOTE(Spiff @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 05:10 PM) Imagine the kind of threads we'd have if Michigan actually had good players Mike Hart is such a bad player.:rolly
  15. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 04:57 PM) List of best RB's in the Big Ten in 2006: 1. Brian Calhoun (he'll be back right?) 2. Albert Young (Although not enough people know it yet) 3. Gary Russell (Minnesota might be glad Maroney is going pro) 4. Tyrell Sutton (he'll be much better next year with a year under his belt) 5. Mike Hart Hart was made of glass this year after pulling off the incredible feat of having a really good freshman year behind maybe the best line in college football in 2004 and with Jason Avant, the good version of Steve Breaston, and that Braylon Edwards guy catching passes. When he was healthy though he had a great year.
  16. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 04:54 PM) I don't think a Big East team will get much credit from the voters. What is the schedule next year. not announced yet.
  17. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 04:48 PM) WVU at #3 seems like a bit of a reach. If Pat White improves as a passer they can. The Big East sucks so they could rack up a ton of wins playing s*** teams.
  18. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 04:31 PM) Going forward huh? SO you see next year Hart being the top RB in the big ten? yes. I see him being a player in the Heisman race if he can stay healthy. he is that good. Most experts agree with me. He is ranked in the top 5 by several publications.
  19. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 04:29 PM) Albert Young is as good of a college running back as Hart. Just look at the numbers he put up. And no I don't think Albert Young is a great running back. Just saying Hart isn't this special back you make him out to be. I also agree that Calhoun, among others in the big 10, are better RB's. HE WAS HURT LAST YEAR! AVERAGE THE NUMBERS WHEN HE PLAYED HEALTHY (5 games) he averaged 125.2 yards. Put that up for 12 games and it is 1502 yards. Look at his first season when he had 3 consecutive 200 yard games.
  20. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 04:27 PM) Maroney and Barber both were better than Hart. Josh over-rates anyone that plays for Michigan. I said in 2006. Going into 2006. Most experts would agree that Mike Hart is an impact player. And I think Steve Breaston is OVERRATED!
  21. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 04:21 PM) How is he not as proven. Hart had 1 good season, his fresh year, and Sutton had one good season. How is Hart all of a sudden this "proven" RB? In his second year he had 150 rushing attempts, 662 yards and 4 TD's roughly the same stats as Chris Taylor from IU. s*** heres something for the U of I boys, Pierre Thomas had less rushing attempts, more yards and more TD's. Hart was also hurt for a lot of the year. When healthy (in games he was in for the full 4 quarters) he had 626 yards. He also hasn't fumbled in 363 attempts. If you don't think that Hart is an impact player you are blind and haven't seen the difference between Michigan with him and without him. Watch the MSU game in 2005.
  22. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jan 5, 2006 -> 04:17 PM) My bet is that Young bails. He DID change his stance from definatley coming back to "talking it over with my family." Want to know what my family would say, "I would like a new Lexus, a new house, and a vacation, have fun in the NFL, I will be in the hot tub." they might say finish college. He will be a top 10 pick either way.
