  1. But... but... but Hawk said Teahen was good defensively! Seriously I've always loved Hawk, but the one thing I can never stand is how he PRAISES seemingly ever player just because they "do something" against us or because they simply on our team. I remember rolling my eyes when Hawk used to rant about how great a player Andy Gonzalez was going to be.
  2. I just don't think we've seen quite enough of Sale to make that distinction yet.
  3. I know, I know... just kidding. I'd think we'd at least wait until the regular season starts before we try that. I have to assume Dunn's only gonna play 1B when Paulie needs a rest.
  4. Ozzie didn't pull a Toby Hall again, did he? Also... I was under the impression from the start that Dunn was going to be our #3 all along, as a given. Don't see why not. I like Paulie but I like him as cleanup better (although I can see the idea), and I simply LOL at the idea of Rios being the 3 hitter right now.
  5. Because your posts are void of any thought or logic whatsoever and you constantly fail to address most of what I ask of you, such as your hypocritical manner of judging Ozzie and Swisher in contrast. So nothing. But more than "disagreement," about 99% of your posts are just plain incorrect. You seem to love the guy without a real reason. See my first explanation above. You say he is a great manager and seem to credit him for anything good that happens to the team at all while never accepting wrongdoing on his part. Again, I quote you: "A win is always a well-managed game and a loss is always a poorly-managed game." Sheer NONSENSE. No, I gave you an explanation behind them which is common sense to most sports fans that you seem to have no f***ing clue about. As if you've never heard of cliche. Like Konerko is going to go out and say "Ozzie isn't that great and he treats players somewhat unfairly." Please TRY to use your brain, greg. Because it's beyond agreement/disagreement with you. It's to a point where your "opinions" are things that are purely and simply FALSE and you cannot seem to form a coherent thought of your own with any kind of logic behind it, much less even face your own hypocrisy, contradiction or lack of logic when called out for it. Frankly, you just seem like a robot that hasn't been programmed yet; there seems to be nothing working upstairs.
  6. I was just reading the book of common sense and I read that often players will drop those cliches left and right out of loyalty and not wanting to cause a stir in the media, among other reasons. Clueless? I think so. "Wiseass Swisher?" Swisher was a really funny guy in teh clubhouse and got along with people. Hey, so in your book he should be a great guy! Amirite? Apply your own logic to every situation, bub! Or are you unable to practice what you preach? That stuff about you correlating "Ozzie's so funny" to his managing ability is utterly RIDICULOUS. Then seeing you being hypocritical with the concept as well is amusing. I really don't think you are actually putting any intelligent thought into the things you are saying. Also LOVE this mentality you have that every success is directly because of Ozzie. meanwhile NONE of our problems are apparently his fault. That's bias 101 for ya. The fact you bring up the tweets of Ozzie's son PROVES your ultimate ignorance. That kid was trashing KW and the organization making it sound like ozzie was a God and the organization were idiots publicly. Not to mention the whole "KW cheating on his wife" stuff. You gotta be s***ting me here, greg. Yeah, except we had guys that could bunt well and do it in the right situation rather than take the bat out of our best hitter's hands and negate the job of our leadoff hitter. I wonder if a thought even enters your head while you watch any baseball games. I really want to thank you, greg. Anytime I'm feeling down on myself or feeling bad about mistakes I've made, I look at your posts and instantly feel better.
  7. Clearly my posts are sailing over the heads of every poster that replies to me. None of you guys seem to be able to interpret what it is I'm trying to say here so I guess I'll just drop it. SMH, really. Seriously? He's a funny guy so he must be a great guy? I'm honestly amazed you weren't one of those kids who waked right into some creep's van because he smiled and flashed candy in front of you. He can't manage for s***, throws his players under the bus, gets into trouble in the office, and maybe worst of all has s*** on the fans on more than one occasion. But yeah... he crakced some funny lines on TV, so he must be a great guy. Who cares how he manages, right??? He's funny, therefore he's a good manager! GMAFB. And you call this guy "fun." I always liked his humor, but IMO that's the only likeable thing about the guy as far as his baseball personality is concerned. Clueless.
  8. That's a lot of unnecessary analysis over a very simply concept. So you've never seen us (or anyone else) make a trade and thought, "WOW, we/they actually think they are getting something good here???" I didn't make any mistake, I don't have anything I need to admit, there's nothing to really thin through here; I'm making a very simple observation. You're being over-analytical. AGAIN, I'm not saying it's embarrassing that someone might want him like you and others keep insisting. I'm just saying that it's embarrassing to tack on the fact we're willing to trade our MANAGER and that this comes after a clusterf*** season of bad managing and bad behavior (which includes him and his son). I don't know how many times I have to repeat myself.
  9. So by that logic, no team that ever wants someone mistakenly thinks they are worth more than what they will give up? So anyone wanting someone and thinking they are good or worth something valuable is never wrong? That basically equates to thinking there's no such thing as a bad trade. Yeah, someone try telling me any of that is true.
  10. Clearly my point sailed right over your head. I didn't say someone else wanting him was embarrassing (to think that shows you're thinking in a very biased way), I said that it's kind of embarrassing we're apparently looking to trade our manager after a clusterf*** season of poor managing, poor pr/office relations and insane family outbursts/issues. So much has gone on between Ozzie/Ozzie's family and KW this year that I almost have to relate this to that in some small way at least. And I think it would be foolish not to consider that as a possibility.
  11. Have to agree on that one. Even during the midst of numerous 40+ HR and 100+ RBI seasons, whenever he would have one of those slumps or even so much as have a bad at bat some people would get vicious. It's in our nature to b****, I suppose. But I haven't ragged on Konerko once in my tenure here to my recollection.
  12. Same here. I want Texas to win but I wouldn't be opposed to seeing Uribe and Rowand get another ring, so it's kind of a win-win for me.
  13. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree here. I'm not necessarily saying it makes him look bad per se, but considering everything that happened this year and how much in the hot seat Ozzie was, from a different perspective this could look embarrassing.
  14. Yeah, the prospect of a MANAGER being offered in a trade says nothing bad about his reputation.
  15. Whether it's remotely true or not, what does this even being rumored tell you about the pitiful reputation of our manager? Really, in both managing AND PR/Office/family publicity, Ozzie has been a train wreck this season.
  16. Now Aaron bashes a triple. The Giants with our ex-Sox are steamrolling Texas.
  17. WOW. Another homer for Uribe. Giants up 1-0. That's greg for ya.
  18. Yeah, well, I wasn't being serious. Well, maybe half.
  19. Hell, why not just make him OUR manager?
  20. True, but I'd rather just win my division and go to the playoffs constantly. To each his own.
  21. So... if he makes a senseless post ON THE SUBJECT, I'm not allowed to question him about it and ask him what his logic behind it is while he continues to make post after post without addressing it? That makes ZERO sense. How can you even have a discussion like that?
  22. Yes they have. Maybe just not as ferociously. As far as you not being as dumb as I think you are... your posts and attempt at logic say otherwise. You STILL have not addressed the things I quoted from you.
  23. In case you haven't noticed, I'm not the only one calling you these things. And although I've thrown some insults at you, I've also thrown a lot of facts and some challenges. I like that your last post was at least an attempt at some logic, but I refuted what was left and have yet to hear from you regarding what I've quoted from you because those quotes are, as I said, utterly ridiculous. So please tell me in your mind where the logic is behind those statements because you have yet to address them.
