[Nobody cares] Pikmin 3 is a really fun game [/Nobody cares]
  4. QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 12, 2013 -> 04:54 PM) This post made my day. I am happy to have stumbled upon it. In fact, this is one of my favorite posts in the history of Soxtalk. Lol
  5. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 9, 2013 -> 11:28 PM) The stat nerds (I say it lovingly) will get on me for this I'm sure, but Jake Peavy has been eminently hittable in many many games, including tonight's. Mark Buehrle in his Sox prime was so so so much better than Jake Peavy!I'm not a Peavy hater. I loved his bulldogishness (the times he refuses to come out of games, et.all) but Jake is not a maestro. Jake Peavy won a Cy Young in his prime, so that is not correct. And Mark Buehrle was no maestro himself, teams like the A's, Blue Jays, Twins, used to rough him up pretty good.
  6. The problem in Fall is that there is usually less teams than summer ball, so they get condensed. It may seem like C, but you get some B and A teams sneaking in
  7. Arlington Heights has a Recreational and Competitive league. Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates, Elgin, Buffalo Grove (leagues I have played in) all have the leagues broken down A/B/C
  8. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 12, 2013 -> 11:33 AM) just tossing some raw meat out there! Shark Week is over, Roy Scheider
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 12, 2013 -> 10:42 AM) Of that list, I would cross off Colorado, Milwaukee, Pittsburgh,Houston, Minnesota, and Tampa Bay right away as teams that won't hand out a big dollar contract right now. I wouldnt cross anyone off. Who really saw the A's winning the Cespedes bidding? Sometimes small market teams do surprising things
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 11, 2013 -> 04:03 PM) 4 IP, 3 hits, 0 BB, 3 K's, 0 ER, CSN player of the game. A yes, this absolves him of the rest of the season. He is garbage, just accept it
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 11, 2013 -> 02:58 PM) I'm sure they're just waiting until they can expand the roster to call up more relievers. Why wait? Let them get their feet wet
  12. Axelrod cannot pitch relief or starting. We are done here. Someone please notify Ventura
  13. I'm sorry lostfan, following the fast break on twitter breaks your brain
  14. Last night I saw pretty much what I expected, an offense that is learning something new and a defense that was younger and a bit faster. I really liked what I saw of Bostic and Greene.
  15. [meatball] McCown deserves to start [/meatball]
  16. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Aug 9, 2013 -> 03:38 PM) #9) Create a Ponzi scheme where I take all of Kyle's money and nobody else's, thus winning Ha! Jokes' on you, I have no money!
  17. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 9, 2013 -> 04:02 PM) In the game before us, a guy, who isn't really all that good but acts like he is, flew out and threw his bat down towards his bench. It bounced off the ground like on a trampoline and hit his teammate in the head. The guy went down with his head busted open. Had to call ambulance. The guy who threw the bat, while very remorseful, should've been tossed IMO. No clue what was going thru his head to throw the bat like that. Most umps throw him out immediately
  18. Leery of Luery?
  19. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Aug 9, 2013 -> 02:43 PM) #8) Punch Kyle still missing 492
  20. Oh. So you are bragging about striking out girls that dont know how to play
  21. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 9, 2013 -> 02:21 PM) I think it's safe to say AS OF TODAY Rios has very little value to big league teams as far as trade (Hahn is no clown; you know he dangled Rios to everybody, looking and looking for a good deal before the trade deadline). It isnt safe to say. In fact it is completely incorrect
  22. QUOTE (bmags @ Aug 9, 2013 -> 12:40 PM) Just to have a bit of an eeyore sox fan moment: Shucks it sure does seem like anytime a sox player goes on the market we are told there is no market for them. /eeyore Oh Bother
  23. we will just play it by ear
