QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 2, 2012 -> 08:13 PM) Let's see... We've got jealous and yellow so far... What's next? Dueling pistols? You sir, offend my sensibilities. Back to back, 25 paces and turn -
You have to imagine Schwartz gets fired for sure now. 4-8 after 12 games was not what everyone was thinking after last season

Majerus sounded like a really good guy. But the whole s***ting in towels thing was pretty nasty

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Dec 2, 2012 -> 05:17 PM) What a joke. This BCS lineup is now terrible. Eh, we say this every year. And every year we watch, the games are usually good. Rinse, repeat. -
QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 2, 2012 -> 04:50 PM) Yeah, I get that...which is exactly why I am not going to try and pretend as though it was a determining factor in the game. It was in the first quarter, I believe, or very early second. There was 3 quarters of football to be played. If we want to go through the entire game and list every play call that didn't work out or every time we didn't execute well, we could probably be here for the rest of the day. Seems a bit pointless to me to harp on that. What I referred to as "FACT" is that a 245 pound NFL back usually gains 5 inches. This is what Bush was brought in to do. It isn't as if it was 4th and 3 or 4 yards. I mean honestly, Kyyle, if you are of the opinion that you should always kick on 4th down when you have a touchdown lead, that's fine. I guess we'll just disagree on that. Our O line just does not generate enough push for me to confidently say that at any point that they should go for it on a 4th and inches situation. It is what it is, you have to know that your personnel isnt good enough at this point of the year. It wasnt THE determining factor, but the Seahawks defense fed off of that. And yeah, there is plenty of crap that we could peruse through and wonder "WHY THE HELL WAS THAT CALLED?". For example, not one but two draw plays with 3rd and long when Marshall was destroying their CBs.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 2, 2012 -> 04:25 PM) So your argument is that we would have tried to score with 20 seconds left tied at 17? My argument is that they left points on the field. What happens after those points are scored is not guaranteed to be what we saw when they were not scored. I would have taken the points. You would have run the play to get the first down. Its a difference of opinion here, there is no "FACT" because we dont know if the Bears would have tried to score.
-
QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 2, 2012 -> 04:08 PM) Well, I refuted your point and made it clear that it wouldn't have mattered. The end. right. In your opinion.

QUOTE (farmteam @ Dec 2, 2012 -> 04:02 PM) I've heard rubbing tabasco into things pups chew on gets them to stop immediately. No idea on its actual effectiveness, though. Some dogs simply do not give a f***. There is a video online of a boxer puppy chewing a bottle of anti chewing sour apple spray. The stuff is leaking out of the bottle and the dog is chewing on it like he was given a rawhide. Kind of like with deer in my neighborhood. They say you spray tabasco/hot pepper water on your plants and the deer leave them alone. Sometimes.
-
QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 2, 2012 -> 03:50 PM) No, that is a fact. But if you want to cry about a call that NFL coaches make all the time in that situation, you go ahead and cry. Again, even if it is 17-17 after the Seahawk td with 20 seconds remaining after the ensuing kickoff, there is an overwhelming chance that we kneel on the ball and go to OT. Look shack, I disagree with you. No need to get all uppity about it, im not crying about anything except the fact that the bears lost, i didnt make a big deal out of the fact that Lovie didnt go for the points, I just made a mention of it. It sucks. the end.

I would tell her straight up "Please get your own card. Everytime you go to the movies, I get an email telling me you did. And that bothers me" She has to understand that
-
QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 2, 2012 -> 03:36 PM) Yeah, but you act like going for it on 4th and 5 inches with Bush was a stupid call. It was not. At that point we had had our way with them. No reason to believe your 245 pound back can't get 5 inches. It's not as if they made that call with 6 minutes to go in the game. Thats your opinion, I disagree. It isnt as if Bush has been delivering when needed. One of the few sure things on this team is Gould.
-
QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 2, 2012 -> 03:28 PM) No s***. That was a much bigger play than anything. Points were left on the field. 10 of them. The defense fell apart at the end as well. Plenty of blame to go around

QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 2, 2012 -> 02:42 PM) Not kicking that FG could come back to bite us in the ass. Truth

@AdamHogeCBS: Reliable source tells me Tennessee has at least reached out to Wisconsin head coach Bret Bielema. Would be stunned if he left #Badgers tho. -

Did anyone see the highlight yesterday of Oregon RB Lache Seastrunk breaking a 70 yard touchdown after he blew a hamstring -
Quick thoughts on todays game: Cannot let Beast Mode start up. If he starts getting chunks of yards, the Bears are in trouble, because everything will start opening up for Wilsons arm and legs. Bennett needs to step up right now and END the Hester experiment decisively. This should be his game, the Seahawks are going to be blanketing Marshall like everyone else tries to, this should open up routes for Bennett. If Forte shows any ill effects from a bum ankle, then Bush and Allen need to get the ball and Forte needs to be shut down. Hit Russell Wilson. Repeatedly. Shake him up. His road record is so so, his home record is good. Do not let him get going.

QUOTE (dasox24 @ Nov 29, 2012 -> 10:30 PM) Except for tonight apparently. This was probably the worst game I've ever seen out of Brees. Really couldn't have come at a worse time. Yeah, when I posted that, it was 17-13 and the Saints were driving. Boom, INT. And I havent seen a worse game out of Brees either. Two picks to interior lineman? Sheesh
-
The Falcons seem to always start games hot and then let the other team into the game. You can't let Brees get hot, he will catch up from a deficit and then some.
