  1. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 15, 2013 -> 09:38 AM) Did the Eagles hire someone? Biggs said this morning that the Eagles look like they are about to lock down Gus Bradley.

Brick killed a guy. Did you throw a trident?
  3. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 15, 2013 -> 08:34 AM) With McCoy going to the Chargers, does that leave Lovie without a HC job? There is still Arizona
  4. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jan 15, 2013 -> 08:13 AM) First of all, we don't know exactly how much he admitted to Oprah. He may very well admit to having doped himself without admitting to the larger scheme. Secondly, I would think he discussed the legal ramifications with his attorneys before talking to Oprah so I doubt he's saying anything that could land him in jail. Im just responding to what Balta posted. If he indeed says that he ran a doping program, you have to think the feds are going to come a knocking
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 15, 2013 -> 07:49 AM) Armstrong officially will admit running a drug program to Oprah. Sooooooo cant he be indicted for lying under oath now? There is a video on deadspin of him saying over and over that he never doped or ran a drug program, and there are a few parts where he is saying that under oath.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 15, 2013 -> 08:02 AM) His dad was not really an effective player after age 32. I corrected my previous number, thought he was on an 8 year deal, checked and it was 9. Prince is signed through 36. And the Tigers are going to wind up with a couple of large-DH's by the last few years of that deal. Thats not really the point. The point is will Prince be effective? Considering Prince has done nothing but destroy MLB pitching since the moment he stepped into the league, and has remained reasonably healthy throughout his stay, I dont see why it is a foregone conclusion that he will just fall off. Also, I sincerely doubt his dad had/sought out access to the same kind of health treatment that Prince currently does. While I doubt that Prince is a vegetarian like he says he is, I dont doubt that he keeps himself in better condition than his Dad did. His dad in slow motion was like watching the homer simpson softball episode.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 15, 2013 -> 07:59 AM) Prince is signed through his 15th year. Cecil played a few years in Japan. Lets keep arguing minor points its fun. Prince is gonna be a large DH, just like his dad

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 15, 2013 -> 07:32 AM) His dad only played until he was 34 and his last full season was when he was 32. He played 13 years. Considering how big he was, that is pretty incredible.

QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jan 15, 2013 -> 06:57 AM) Fielder will quickly turn into a stupid financial decision. His dad managed to have a pretty long and very good career carrying around the extra weight, I think Prince will be ok.
  10. extremely underwhelming 20th anniversary of RAW
  11. SIU/Bradley is on Comcast tonite. Wheeeeeeeeeee
  12. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 14, 2013 -> 11:00 PM) If Emery knows exactly what he wants, why are the alleged 2 finalists not very similar? Youd expect 2 OC's with similar philosophies, not 2 OC's who might as well come from different planets. Trestman- Alouttes are top 3 passing attempts. http://en.montrealalouettes.com/statistics...ssing/year/2012 If you compare passing to runs, its approximately 2 passes to every run. Bevell- University of Wisconsin graduate. QB for Barry Alvarez. You set the pass up with the run. Seattle 2012, more runs than passes. If you look historically Bevell's teams are much more balanced or slightly run leaning. Trestman is almost always pass leaning. How can you know exactly what you want if you arent even sure if you want a pass first offense or a run first offense? You are right, this is undeniable proof that Emery doesn't know what he wants. We are f***ed
  13. QUOTE (ptatc @ Jan 14, 2013 -> 09:18 PM) You should have known they would not hire a proven head coach. Other than the Cubs, what team in Chicago ever hires a proven coach, especially the Bears? The Bears have never hired a coach with previous HC experience
  14. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 14, 2013 -> 03:28 PM) Ryan Fitzpatrick Ryan Fitzpatrick Ryan Fitzpatrick Ryan Fitzpatrick Fyan Ritzpatrick
  15. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Jan 14, 2013 -> 08:17 AM) And with the Giants nowhere in sight, hopefully they can finish and get what's rightfully theirs this time.
  16. QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 14, 2013 -> 07:40 AM) No Illinois State talk lately. Things not going all that well. Tyler Brown was suspended indefinitely for violating team rules.

I loved the first episode of Shameless, Frank mysteriously ending up in Mexico on a 130 day binge was hilarious. And his method of getting back was even more hilarious. "19!" Did anyone notice the odd filming of certain scenes, some random camera angles and zoom ins, shaky camera work? It kind of threw me off.
  18. QUOTE (Rex Hudler @ Jan 13, 2013 -> 05:40 PM) The Purple Aces of Evansville took down Wichita State this afternoon in the bustling metropolis of Evansville, 71-67. The Salukis gave WSU all they could handle in Wichita last week. All is not well for the Shockers, they should have been wiping the floor with a severely undermanned SIU.
  19. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 13, 2013 -> 11:47 AM) I saw his post last night, I didn't have to go back in the thread. Are you missing the concerned about haters part? People that don't worry about haters don't respond to haters. So stop acting like a sore winner and continue yapping about the 49ers
  20. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 13, 2013 -> 11:34 AM) Aren't you the person that said last night, that the 49ers suck? 2 NFC Championships in the last 2 seasons Again, aren't you the person that just said you don't worry about the haters? You worried enough to go back in this thread to find out what was said. Relax and enjoy your win
  21. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 13, 2013 -> 10:55 AM) Speaking of the 49ers haters, they're all pretty quiet right now. QUOTE (SOXOBAMA @ Jan 13, 2013 -> 08:36 AM) I don't worry about the haters. Glad that you enjoyed watching the 49ers last night. I think you are confusing haters with dont care-ers
  22. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jan 13, 2013 -> 09:07 AM) Ya he played. Supposedly limped around the court all game so who knows what his deal is going forward. Next year it will be nice to have some other guys that can bang down low with DD. Drinkard is ok but he is of backup variety
  23. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jan 13, 2013 -> 08:28 AM) He's a lot of fun to watch. I think we're going to start winning some games now that Daniels is back. We're insanely undersized to begin with but with out him we were some times playing 5 guys that were all 6'3 and under. I'm thinking and hoping that we can stay out of Thursday if everyone stays healthy. This team definitely plays hard, which is obviously a very welcomed change from years past. Did Daniels return last night? He had a badly sprained ankle against MSU, I thought he was out a while
  24. Denver's D is getting punked by Flacco, very surprising. Champ Bailey specifically
  25. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Jan 12, 2013 -> 12:26 PM) I wish there were not on TV so much. At one time NFL owners didn't need to have a spot light. My theory is when this happens, teams regress. I assume the owner's godlike attitude makes it very unappealing to valuable front office people such as scouts. The Cowboys use the have the best. If scouts weren't so silent, the things they could say about owners and even GMs. Jerry always sought out the spotlight. But somewhere along the way he started believing he was the sole reason for success, and it wasnt a collaborative effort.
