  1. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Nov 26, 2012 -> 01:47 PM) That wasn't eliciting a response from Bears fans, it was comparing a very close call that was being reviewed to a previous very close call in the season that was extremely similar. That was a very appropriate comment for the situation. I don't see how talking about Dez Bryant is somehow trolling Bears fans, it wasn't against the Cowboys, so I don't see how that's even close to trolling Bears fans. And no one "asked why I was trolling", the response was... "Do you try or is it natural?" Which I took as him trying to say I was stupid or an idiot, or whatever other type of namecalling you want to infer, but either way it was clear he was in disagreement with me, and it was a TD, to which I replied that it was no surprise that a BEARS FAN would agree with a call that goes FOR THE BEARS. I hope you don't hurt your arm while you were reaching so far for these. Im not arguing with you about it, its pretty obvious. You are being almost unanimously called out as a troll, so you can either stop, or take a break. your decision.
  2. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Nov 26, 2012 -> 01:32 PM) The word "really" means I am questioning the seriousness of the topic actually being discussed. I didn't say "Is Cutler for MVP being discussed here?", that would be an actual question. But I said "Is Cutler for MVP REALLY being discussed here?", as in "I can't believe this conversation would ever take place, that's ridiculous". And if you want an example of trolling, look at these.... See, those are responses that have nothing to do with what's being talked about, and are said to try and elicit a response out of me and change the conversation. THAT is considered trolling, not questioning why anyone could possibly even consider Cutler could be in the discussion for MVP. Thats funny, here is you yesterday bringing it up out of the blue to elicit a response from Bears fans QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Nov 25, 2012 -> 01:19 PM) His knee hit out-of-bounds about 1/50th of a second after his foot hit in bounds, and according to the ruling on the Dez Bryant finger roll, it shouldn't be a TD. and the followup response when asked why you were trolling that point QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Nov 25, 2012 -> 01:29 PM) Wow, a Bears fan thinks his team should have had the TD? This is my shocked face.

    QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 26, 2012 -> 11:06 AM) Even when they were in the elevator, it seemed too obvious. Hope its not and their is a twist of some kind. He stood up and his outline exactly matched the outline of the firesuit. Its too obvious, but I have very little doubt that it is him
  5. QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 26, 2012 -> 08:58 AM) Now that is just f***ing bizarre. As if athletes usually stop and chat in these videos or something. ESPN loves going after cutler for pout face. Reilly did his cutler face piece just a few weeks ago
  6. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 25, 2012 -> 05:18 PM) you're still upset that a guy who clearly lands out-of-bounds is ruled out? stupid rule man, such a stupid rule QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Nov 25, 2012 -> 01:19 PM) His knee hit out-of-bounds about 1/50th of a second after his foot hit in bounds, and according to the ruling on the Dez Bryant finger roll, it shouldn't be a TD. actually, what we are all saying is if your foot hits inbounds first(like Spaeths did), it should be a touchdown. But if your hand hits down out of bounds(like Bryants did), it should be out of bounds. I know this out of bounds thingy is a newfangled aspect of the game for you and all, but please try and keep up

    Dexter has me a little thrown off. The issue with the Kaschka's is obviously not concluded yet because Quinn is still alive and just did something stupid, and Isaak got shot by the bar manager. Hannah is still alive, but obviously Deb wants her gone. And now LaGuerta is bringing the old captain back into the mix, and she is hot on Dexters trail. This season is probably going to end on a big cliffhanger to next.
  8. QUOTE (greg775 @ Nov 24, 2012 -> 01:54 PM) He was great right after the Sox got him and horrific the last 3 weeks as I recall. I don't know if he gets tired or what, but the bad Wise was an automatic out. I remember at one point he had no chance up there. The good Wise was pretty amazing. once again, how exactly would you know when the good and bad streaks are starting?
  9. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 24, 2012 -> 11:52 AM) Ya I'm not getting excited until they play a real division 1 school(tonight). But the talent isn't as bad as people thought. Early, Daniels and Beane are really fn good. We're not going to be able to compete with Creighton, ISU or WSU but I wouldn't be shocked if they're playing in the 4-5 game in st Louie. Beane blew me away, i was very surprised at how he looked like he belonged
  10. QUOTE (greg775 @ Nov 22, 2012 -> 10:16 PM) I just think he's a very streaky hitter, all or nothing. If I'm wrong, then I'm wrong. How exactly would you know when the good streak will start? If he starts the season 0-8, do you bench him for the rest of the season? So many questions, so many questions
  11. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Nov 24, 2012 -> 09:27 AM) Even with SLU banged up I fully expect them to win but if we can pull it out ill start to believe that we might not be playing on Thursday come March. Directtv master Kyyle is there any chance this game is on tv tonight? Nope, I looked. Doesnt look like it is covered for SLU or SIU. The only thing listed is radio stations to tune into. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Nov 24, 2012 -> 11:15 AM) Also seems SIU is actually pretty solid. Which is great. Now just gotta get Bradley to not be so awful. Tonite is a huge indicator for me. SIU is really undersized this year, only 3 forwards over 6'6" that play, everyone else is a 6'5" or below guard. Tonite SLU has the size matchup bigtime, their frontcourt is 6'11"©, 6'7"(F) and 6'6"(F). They will be going against a starting lineup of 4 guards and 1 forward Dantiel Daniels, who is 6'6". SIU is going to have to play up tempo and make their shots.
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 24, 2012 -> 11:03 AM) Jinxology 101. Number 1 rule of Nanny Nay-bobs everywhere: If the team is predicted to fail and ends up succeeding, then say that you predicted the fail in order to activate the reverse jinx.

  15. QUOTE (Tex @ Nov 23, 2012 -> 04:05 PM) Part of Greg's comments may be because I kept saying I have empathy for anyone in that situation and people kept saying, Yeah, but Mark has money, Mark did this or Mark did that. I'm guessing all those comments could be rewritten to say, anyone with enough money, or anyone with a really cool job, or anyone who can walk away, does not deserve empathy. It isn't specific to Mark, but he was used as an example. And we would take him back under that contract, as long as someone was picking up some of it. Hell, just redistribute it. Those last two years are killer
  16. It will be interesting to see McDermott take Creighton into the tournament a few years in a row. Dana Altman always took tremendously talented teams to the tournament that lost in the first or second round, i wonder if McDermott will go farther
  17. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Nov 23, 2012 -> 02:38 PM) Are you f***ing high? LMAO And greg, no sports psychologist needed. Nobody said they didnt like Buehrle
  18. QUOTE (greg775 @ Nov 23, 2012 -> 02:15 PM) You could be right about the drinking. Or you could be wrong, way wrong. He may just like a beer or two after a game. Just cause he says he gets plastered all the time doesn't mean it's true. He says a lotta things. yea he says a lot of things like "I like to get drunk and then take sleeping pills"
  19. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Nov 23, 2012 -> 02:11 PM) It should be penalty, but not negate the automatic review. agreed, but damn Schwartz, someone needs to tell you that THIS JUST HAPPENED TO MIKE SMITH IN ATLANTA THIS WEEKEND
  20. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Nov 23, 2012 -> 01:57 PM) Does the Wii U tablet have wi-fi itself? Almost seems like it would be a good tablet in and of itself. It connects via bluetooth to the WiiU console itself, and also to your home theater. But i think the Wifi connection is what comes through the actual console itself. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Nov 23, 2012 -> 01:47 PM) Yeah, Move is IMO, way better than the Wii, it just never got the support from game developers. SCEA should have made more games too. Sports Champions 1 is really solid, and I heard the 2nd one that just came out is really good too, but outside of those, I have yet to find an interesting game. Of course it is better. It has 5 years of development after the Wiimotes came out. Now Nintendo is basically done with that, and Sony is realizing that it is died down because they arent getting the support. Hence, WiiU gamepad and back to traditional controllers(even though WiiMotes and nunchuks are still functional with the WiiU)
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 23, 2012 -> 07:55 AM) Would that qualify as a "dirty sanchez"? absolutely
  22. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Nov 22, 2012 -> 08:41 PM) DET has to sort out a lot of issues. Their closer situation, although they have some good internal candidates in Villarreal and Alburquerque, to name a few. Dotel and Benoit were also quite shaky down the stretch, as we all know, bullpens are made to implode from year to year, although expecting the disaster they had with Valverde to repeat itself is about the same as expecting 49/49 again, like 2011. They've got lots of guys like Young, Boesch and Berry that are more like 4th outfielders than starters, which is obviously why they traded for Hunter, not to mention his leadership abilities. Then again, Young is one of those guys who could potentially go on another extended run like he did in the playoffs or in 2010 with the Twins. They should really move Peralta off SS. Infante was horrible at 2B, too. That's a HUGE Achilles' heel, their middle infield. Avila playing like an average catcher and not looking like a sure-fire All-Star also hurt them a LOT. Yes, Verlander and Scherzer could get hurt. But so could Sale or Peavy or Floyd or any number of Sox pitchers. Basically, with Fister, Porcello and Smyly, they have a better rotation than us, and that's not ruling out their bringing back Anibal Sanchez (who was great for them after a slow start) or signing a FA pitcher, like Greinke. They probably WON'T go that route, but imagine if they did? We can't even dream of signing an impact player at this point....unfortunately any changes will have to come via the trade route. Young is a FA and after Hunter was signed it made him less likely to return. I have read they plan on moving on
