  1. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 3, 2012 -> 03:18 PM) Plus, if you banned him, where would the overdone negativity come from? That gap would be filled quicker than you would guess
  2. QUOTE (Baron @ Sep 3, 2012 -> 03:15 PM) Ban him just incase mods Nah, I cant do that. Just gotta give him s***. If we took people seriously on stuff like that, you wouldnt get to talk to fathom anymore IIRC
  3. QUOTE (Caesar @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 09:34 PM) Detroit will not lose. But if they did, I will never post here again.
  4. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 3, 2012 -> 11:40 AM) He wanted to last season. Jerry talked him out of it. Everytime I think about Jerry convincing KW to stay I think about this: "You promised you would fire me if I called in sick again, you promised" "I cant do it"
  5. My character was sadly underutilized in this production. Im calling my agent
  6. QUOTE (MAX @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 10:37 PM) Because he is only 65? Which means he would still be pitching now.....
  7. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 02:16 PM) Do you think some of us are too hard on the Sox or do you agree they do some maddening things? I mean isn't it kind of nonsensical to drop so many games to the team you have to beat out? If the Sox threw a win or two in there against Detroit it wouldn't be so f***ing maddening. Or do you think fans like me are way out of line and we should be thrilled we're in the race at all. I just don't understand sometimes why the team is so dysfunctional. Is it asking too much to win the first game of a huge series once in a while, etc?? Educate me. I think all you do is mope about the team. period.
  8. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 01:33 PM) I get the feeling Detroit is just toying with everybody and the final two weeks will probably go 14-2.
  9. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 01:29 PM) Lucky you; this is not a good game to watch. It's gonna be all Detroit and the announcers will slobber over them as well.
  10. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 12:13 PM) Two Cy Young guys if you look at how dominant Scherzer has been in the 2nd half. Definitely, the stuff and filthiness of 2. We have 1/2 of one now in Sale/Peavy. Im talking about history, not the last 2 months.
  11. QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Sep 2, 2012 -> 11:54 AM) Damn! TNA has all the stars! /1990's

  15. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 1, 2012 -> 06:20 PM) f*** You Penn State Sincerely, The World Apparently Franco Harris brought a JoePa cutout to the game. Seems like it worked
  16. QUOTE (The Ultimate Champion @ Sep 1, 2012 -> 09:03 PM) Dumping VMart will be the best thing they can do. Make one of Cabrera/Fielder the 1B with the other DHing and build a fundamentally capable team with pitching and defense. Funny how the Tigers run out a greatly talented, high payroll team, underachieve, and still compete for a title. When the Sox do that they're out of it in March. There is a huge difference when your two best hitters are Miguel Cabrera/Prince Fielder vs Paul Konerko/Anyone else. Those are two perennial MVP candidates, plus a Cy Young AND MVP winner in the rotation.
  17. Bears are bringing in Jonathan Scott for a look at OT http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,5033114.story
  18. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 29, 2012 -> 07:57 AM) While obviously you are correct that it is a difficult pitch to master, the question is why don't more guys that are basically at the end of the line at least give it a shot? It worked for Dickey just like picking up the split made Bruce Sutter a HOF pitcher instead of a petroleum transfer technician. I bet a lot of pitchers have tried it out. From what I have read, pitchers that master the knuckle have really long fingers so they can really grip the ball with their knuckles or tips of their fingers(like Hough used to do). I think guys like Clemens are better off going to the split anyways, and I am pretty sure CLemens featured that heavily late in his career. It makes their once amazing fastball get extra life in the mind of the hitter because of how the splitter dives.
  19. QUOTE (Jake @ Aug 31, 2012 -> 08:39 PM) Thornton was not a good matchup for these guys. They're all fastball hitters. Thornton isn't a good matchup for anybody. He sucks across the board against everyone. He cannot do any facet of his job
  20. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Aug 31, 2012 -> 02:07 PM) Better yet, just bring a copy of today's sports section that has the current MLB standings. Now, more than ever, the team could use one of those vintage Floyd v. Detroit outings- so of course he's on the Invalids List... I'll be overjoyed if they just win today so the sweep is off the table. Does todays sports section show Gavin Floyd starting? That should be a caption with Peavy as Tiger slayer
  21. Ex NFL Players Michael Bennett and William Joseph face up to 20 years in prison for an identity theft scheme Wow, I remember when i thought Bennett had a lot of potential
  22. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 31, 2012 -> 11:40 AM) Yet still led the team in TD receptions.He was never a pass dropper in college so maybe it was a few isolated ones that we just noticed? That is a tallest midget stat last season and you know it. He had 6 drops, that is not isolated, that is terrible for the little time he was on the field.
