  1. i dont think we should be doggin Kevin Loves game, he is playing with a sore groin and the original plan was for him to miss the rest of the season. Last nights version of Kevin Love was not the rule, it was the exception. you could tell his burst was gone when Omer and Deng were blocking him
  2. QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 31, 2011 -> 02:13 PM) Take it easy, or else after I am gone, I will make the occassional post via satellite to show that I am still greatful for the thread and to give you guys a thrill. you are the ric flair of messageboards. take your saggy boobs and be gone
  3. QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 31, 2011 -> 10:43 AM) Listen Kyyle, If you can't keep diminishing the respectability of pro wrestling with your mis calculations and unfactual facts, we can't have you holding this thread down to the point where nobody takes us and wrestling seriously. Im not gonna take any s*** from the guy who is taking his ball and going home.
  4. btw, WWE has revived WCW.com for a remembrance of the merger, which is where I got my little Chavo tidbit
  5. QUOTE (T R U @ Mar 30, 2011 -> 12:34 PM) Hmm, I don't think Kane has gone anywhere either.. Im sorry should have clarified, he came over from WCW at the merger and has never left the company.
  6. Fun fact, who is the only active member of WWE to never have left the company since the merger of WWE and WCW? edit: and this guy was also in WCW
  7. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 30, 2011 -> 11:57 AM) Every time I look at that Alfonso Soriano contact, I remain in disbelief that Jim Hendry continues to be in charge of the Cubs' roster. Soriano is 35 years old, and his contract pays him $18 million for this season. That's bad enough for a declining outfielder who cannot hit an off-speed pitch and has nothing left on the basepaths. However, this worthless idiot gets paid that same $18 million annually for 3 seasons past this year. He will be 39 prior to his final season with the Cubs. That is going to make for an expensive buy-out if he even gets to that point. IIRC the contract goes UP until he is done with the Cubs, i believe he made 17 mil in 09 and 19 mil last season
  8. I think what we all learned from the Bulls game yesterday is that Melissa1334 is not allowed to go to Bulls games anymore
  9. i never worry about Buehrle, he is in the Jamie Moyer mold IMO. Soft tossing lefties just seem to be able to keep going
  10. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Mar 27, 2011 -> 09:48 AM) Never even heard of Key West, is it on the strip? No, it is out on 13, on the other side of the road from Schnucks. http://maps.google.com/maps/place?hl=en&am...497147713057664
  11. Brewers just traded Cutter Dykstra to the Nationals for Nyjer Morgan, so Jeremy Reed or Brandon Boggs will get cut soon.
  12. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 25, 2011 -> 11:53 PM) Go to Pinch, there will be plenty of Sox fans there. pffft, go to Key West, the owner(my former boss) Jeff Formentini is a huge Sox fan. It will always be on in that bar
  13. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 26, 2011 -> 12:01 PM) I think that sounds like a good kid to me, not an idiot. Yeah, but you also thought that Tressel was going to get a slap on the wrist and what he did was no big deal.
  14. btw, Tony Allen was quite a b**** last night. I wanted Rose to dunk over his ass and pound his chest but the opportunity never came.
  15. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Mar 26, 2011 -> 08:25 AM) Good luck with that; lol, Howard AND Paul with Melo and Amare? GMAB, are they going to convince the other 8 players to agree to $1 paychecks?
  16. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Mar 25, 2011 -> 01:33 PM) Shame, cause he had a chance to be a solid player. Johnny Jolly arrested. Again. Nate Newton part 2
  17. Personally, I feel that Rose is my MVP this season because of how much better the Bulls are now compared to where they were last year. I dont know if the Magic are better at this point compared to where they were last year through 70 games or not, but I have watched every Bulls game the past 3 seasons (save maybe 5) and the difference now and then is unreal. Rose put this team on his back, and it all came together. Nobody expected it, very few saw it coming, but all of us are pretty much in agreement that the Bulls are now real title contenders, and I think that is largely because of Rose.
  18. Dont fool yourself Brian, its going to be Lusk(who also interviewed for NIU)
  19. The Bulls, and particularly Rose, have been in seek and destroy(Asik and Destroy, haha!) mode since the Indiana game. The thing that I absolutely love is that the second unit is almost as scary as the first unit for opposing teams. The Bulls send that unit out in the second quarter against other teams starters and it seems like most of the time the second unit will pad the lead and take the Bulls into the half with a lead while frustrating the opposing teams just as much as the starters do. The depth that the Bulls have going into the playoffs is just amazing.
  20. QUOTE (chw42 @ Mar 22, 2011 -> 08:27 PM) Derrick Rose took Kirk Hinrich to school that game. small edit
  21. Cowherd is just trolling for angry call-ins like he always does
  22. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Mar 22, 2011 -> 01:44 PM) Can't confirm this, but word is that he gave some extra tickets to a player's family for the game against Kentucky. The Andy Katz writeup on ESPN says this too, they gave him an unauthorized player pass. the way I look at all of it, Pearl did a bunch of stupid little things, got caught doing one of them, lied about it, admitted it, then went out and got busted doing another stupid little thing(visiting a recruit at Oak Hill Academy) and the AD didnt like where it was all headed. If he would have just admitted all these stupid little things in the first place he would still be head coach IMO
