QUOTE (T R U @ Mar 10, 2011 -> 09:34 PM) Skyline was sooo bad, and I thought it was going to be awesome.. it was really so, so bad though.. I am still going to go see Battle LA at midnight though, theres no way I can be let down twice in a row, right? well?

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 11, 2011 -> 03:51 PM) Honestly I don't think it matters. Chances of survival will be near-zero in either case with a wall of 50 mph water/mud/debris slamming into you, and churning you downstream for however long. Plus, there is going to be some sort of undertow that will keep you down for a little while as well. No matter what, when you are facing a tsunami wave like what we saw today, your chances of survival are very small.

I dont know if getting out of your car or staying in your car is good either way. No matter what, a gigantic wave with a leading edge of flotsam is rushing at you at a high speed. It isnt as if you are jumping into a pool. You might jump into the way of a car a boat or even parts of a house that is moving at 50+ MPH

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Mar 11, 2011 -> 11:20 AM) Jeez, what were those people thinking when they drove perpendicular to the incoming tsunami?? It's crazy and sad that they caught that on camera. Also, the amount of debris that is in that water is just ridiculous, the amount of damage that will create Im sure is astronomical. I dont think those people could really see where the tsunami was coming from. I saw a video where it was closing on places from two sides. Seeing the helicopter video was so sad, those people had no chance

That whirlpool video was amazing and terrifying. That was straight out of Pirates of the caribbean

Lakers wet the bed against the Heat again. They had so many chances to put that game away and couldnt convert

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 10, 2011 -> 09:24 AM) Yeah that... but on a side note, how f***ing awesome would Kirk be on this team right now? To be honest, I dont know. Kirk isnt as great as a shooter as I thought he was going to be, and I like CJ Watson as Rose's backup. Bogans is bigger and plays good enough defense, i dont know that Kirk would be a great upgrade

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 10, 2011 -> 11:00 AM) And it looks like Lowery is staying. f*** f*** f*** f*** f*** f*** f*** f*** f*** f*** f*** f*** f*** whoever drew up that contract with no buyout clause should be fired from the university -
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 10, 2011 -> 07:24 AM) The nice thing is that if we have to have an injury, the front line is the place to have it. With Taj, Asik, and Kirk on the bench, that is some major league depth. I believe you mean Kurt. Unless Hinrich was reacquired

Bogans hasnt bothered me as much in the past 2 months. Thibs rotation makes him go unnoticed in the grand scheme of the game, and he is actually hitting some of those open shots that he was missing earlier in the year.

aw D Wade, i am so sad for you, I feel so bad that you gamed the system for a championship and it didnt turn out the way you thought it would. Do you hear the sound of the worlds smallest violin, playing the worlds saddest song?

QUOTE (chw42 @ Mar 6, 2011 -> 02:36 PM) The Bulls just passed this road trip with a 2-1 record. Shoulda been 3-0, but they played well in the games that really mattered. LeBron = choke. 4-1. Milwaukee, Washington, Atlanta, Orlando, Miami

oh yeah, you are lying to yourself if you think you dont want a beast down low like Howard with Rose.

Rango was a good kids flick. There was a Hunter S Thompson appearance which was very quick and very funny(and obviously voiced by Depp). There were more than a few adult references that i laughed at. a little bit of mild language and a few deaths surprised me. You dont normally see cartoons where characters tell each other to go to hell

QUOTE (danman31 @ Mar 4, 2011 -> 02:06 PM) LOL SIU that is the worst display in the final few minutes of a game possible. In my mind, that's probably a new low for the program. There should be no way you can end a game on an 11-0 run. Gotta love March. There is a 2010-2011 season worth of saluki lowlights that can beat this. Im glad its over. Get Lowery the f*** out. I dont think Diamond Taylor saw the floor for the second half -
QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Mar 4, 2011 -> 11:31 AM) Johnny Jolly of the Packers had a purple drank problem. Cost him all of last year. I still think that was a bit much. He had at least 200 grams of codeine. I think that is a bit much. Second degree felony, it wasnt as if he had a cup with a little bit in the bottom.

QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Mar 3, 2011 -> 02:28 PM) This is something that I've always wondered about... why won't MLB teams have their minor league teams close by? Can you imagine how cool it would be to have the Sox Minor league teams play locally? I thought about going to a Kane County Cougars game last year when the Sox were out of town and I was jonesing for some baseball. I thought it might have been boring though. Now imagine the Sox AAA team playing there instead of the Cougars. I'm pretty sure I'd be a season ticket holder. I would love to see the young up and comers in the Sox organization play. The Cubs had the Joliet Jackhammers recently. I think a lot of it has to do with timing. These minor league teams go under, and a major league team has to be ready to occupy the space pretty quick -
QUOTE (lostfan @ Mar 3, 2011 -> 05:07 PM) I'm all about the "I am from the south side of Chicago therefore I am better than you" and talking about how there are 2 ways to do things, the way they're done in Chicago and the wrong way, but I put ketchup on my hot dogs and I don't give a f*** what you think about it. what a ridiculously agnostic thing to say
