QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jan 31, 2011 -> 11:54 AM) That Orton match was incredibly boring in person. A guy I didn't know of before won the Rumble lol. Booker T's pop was huge, one of the biggest I've ever seen. really? Watching the PPV it seemed Nash had a bigger pop. I believe you since you were there obviously, it just seemed to me that the whole crowd went nuts when the engine revved up

I still would like to see the Superman dies story arc in movie form. I know, I know, he comes back to life. I think the fight between him and doomsday would be awesome with the CGI technology being used nowadays.

QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Jan 30, 2011 -> 02:31 AM) I've gone on a movie spree that past week. Saw True Grit, No Strings Attached, and The Green Hornet....with 3 different girls, haha. I was impressed with all 3 of them. Probably liked True Grit the best because I think it was the first Western I've gone to and there was awesome acting involved. No Strings Attached was pretty funny, but probably my 3rd out of the 3. I was also impressed with Seth Rogan's acting in The Green Hornet. The Green Hornet had good comedy and good action. How were all three girls impressive, do tell?

QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 27, 2011 -> 11:02 AM) There has to be some assistant coach at a major program somewhere that SIU could go after. Forget a coach with ties to the program. Just get a coach that has paid his dues and knows what it is like to be successful. how about the best of both worlds, Paul Lusk -
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 27, 2011 -> 09:01 AM) I'd pictured someone less bulky. i agree, Rolands character was made with classic western Clint Eastwood in mind, so i also imagined a taller thinner Roland. But Bardem is a fantastic actor, i think i can get behind this choice

Javier Bardem offered the role of Roland in the upcoming "The Dark Tower" adaptations.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jan 26, 2011 -> 08:44 PM) SIU? They just looked bad from about the 4 minute mark of the first half on, especially for a 8 to 10 minute span starting at said 4 minute mark. Looked like they have never seen a press before. it was embarrassing to watch. Lowery has gone from trying to save his job to completely sabotaging the team for years to come. This JUCO allstars group that he runs out there now, I cannot believe they are wearing the same uniform that Falker, Shaw, Tatum, Young, and Brooks wore(although I like Mamadou Seck). Last night Lowerys cousin Kendal Brown-Surles threw away 3 passes in that stretch where WSU went on a 20-2 run, and all three passes led to runouts that scored. I believe SIU attempted 1 shot in the first 7 minutes of the second half. This reminds me of the way the Rich Herrin years ended before Bruce Weber took over. Lots of success in the early 90s, then complacency set in and the coach felt like he could get anyone he wanted to fit into the system. The problem is, Lowery doesnt know how to coach up freshman. He was handed the keys to a tournament team, he took them far(i believe they could have gotten to the elite 8, but it didnt happen), and then he crashed the team into the median at 100 MPH. So much work that Weber and Painter did has been completely thrown away for a extremely large ego. I still cannot believe this man had the audacity to say "If you want Gonzaga results you need to pay Gonzaga money" as if he was the one to create Gonzaga results -

QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 24, 2011 -> 01:34 PM) I'm sure Lovie only told him he was getting pulled based off of the response Cutler was giving him. I have no doubt the Bears trainer made the final call, but it baffles me that Cutler couldn't play through this. As I said yesterday, Cutler's best chance of saving his name in Chicago was if something actually was torn. Yeah, you are sure. Im sure that you talk out of your ass 95 percent of the time. The only difference here is I see it every time, and you werent on the bears sideline yesterday -

QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 24, 2011 -> 01:20 PM) It's so hard to deal with lovie. On one hand, some CRAZY stupid things done yesterday. on the other...he took a team with so many holes almost to the superbowl. And we held the most potent offense in the playoffs to 14 pts. How do you manage the two? He's both a really good coach and a bonehead. totally agree with this post -
the bulls took the celtics to 7 games with a vastly inferior team and coach, and a rookie Derrick Rose. i think they could win a 7 game series against this older celtics team.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 19, 2011 -> 07:32 PM) Please don't tell me you think we've got a shot at 'Melo? Heed the words of J4L: We WILL NOT acquire a superstar through a trade or FA! 2000 and last year was proof positive of this as far as FA goes. And Kobe, Gasol and KG were proof positive of this on the trade front. God help this franchise if we hadn't LUCKED out with a capital L in winning the lottery and drafting Rose. How so? I am in no means saying the bulls are going to trade for Melo, but last years Free Agency was a farce, that s*** was locked up after the Olympics when Lebron Wade and Bosh made a pinky swear to play together. If the Bulls truly had a shot at one of them, I think they very well could have landed one. But nobody had a chance because all three of them had already decided where they were going to play.

QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 19, 2011 -> 01:43 PM) replace hathaway with halle barry and i heard the same thing. A bad movie is a bad movie. halle berry did look good in leather. she did not, however, have nolan directing and goyer/nolan writing the story. as stated before, i will give nolan the benefit of the doubt after seeing ledger pull off the joker

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jan 18, 2011 -> 12:07 PM) I'm a senior. My non-stop partying days are about done. Plus I'd be living with 1 or 2 other friends. Besides, I'm pretty sure I'll be home more now in college than I will be once I get a full-time job. And I'm a huge dog lover. Just letting you know, they are very smart, and when you leave them alone and they get bored, bad things happen

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jan 18, 2011 -> 11:33 AM) Also have to remember that GB was with out Rodgers for more than a game and a half. Decent chance they would have finished 12 and 4 if he played every game. Anyways, should be a great game, I'd give the Packers a bit of an edge but I certainly wouldn't be shocked if the Bears win this one. The Bears had the same issue. They didnt have Cutler for Carolina, and lets be honest, Cutler wasnt there for the Giants after the second sack
