  1. really though, at the beginning of the year if I told you Rodgers would complete 71.6 percent of his passes vs the bears, would you have thought that he put up 17 and 10 points?
  2. first volley comes from Ryan Grant: http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/news/story?id=6030476
  3. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jan 17, 2011 -> 02:00 PM) what else could they do if the field is crap? You cant field turf it in 5 days. Moving it to another field would bring the wrath of god. Isnt that what the Pats did in 06 the week before they played the Bears?
  4. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Jan 17, 2011 -> 11:13 AM) I like that he has adjusted, not only to the run game, but to feature the TE's like he did yesteray. It was a huge F.U. to the critics. I will say though, the Bears still need better WR's and overall a better turf to get a consistent offense rolling. Until that happens, any offense which predicates on speed as well as defense, would not be optimal. Unfortunately for the Bears, everything they do is predicated on speed. I fully do not expect them to win the Super Bowl. Heck, I don't expect them to make it, but I've been wrong before. And Bears fans better hope Angelo doesn't use this year as an excuse to not fix up that O-Line which Tice has done a crazy good job with. I would've expected Cutler to be icing in the offseason from the beating he took throughout the year. If the turf matter is not dealt with this offseason I will be really pissed off. Again another embarrassing showing on a national stage, nothing but brown dirt and green painted dirt all over the field, then you switch to the New England game where they basically had the same weather conditions for the last month and see a really green nice artificial turf field. How the park district and Bears FO can continue to defend these field conditions is completely beyond me.
  5. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Jan 17, 2011 -> 11:08 AM) Lol, yes, offense. I was wondering when Wayne started playing CB and Clark was at LB, lol
  6. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Jan 17, 2011 -> 11:04 AM) Strongly disagree about the talent. When they got rid of Moss, Brady had much inferior talent. Tate is a decent player and they have some decent TE's, but Branch was their best WR and he's nothing to write home about. Welker really isn't all that good, he's just sneaky and is good for underneath routes. Manning has Dallas Clark and Reggie Wayne. Two guys alone who make Indy's defense so much better. I will say Brady has a better RB, but not by much. Offense?
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 17, 2011 -> 09:01 AM) You know, one interesting wrinkle is that the reason why the Jets' game plan (denying the Pats their usual intermediate high percentage passing game) worked was that the Pats didn't have a legitimate deep threat. So when the Jets brought up a safety and keep their LB's over the middle to deny the Pats passes to Welker and the TE's in that area, Brady couldn't beat it by going over the top to a WR running a fly route. Of course, this is probably the first time all season that I've said a team could have used Randy Moss. wasnt branch brought back to be that deep threat?
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 17, 2011 -> 08:40 AM) So, when do we start hearing about how Tom Brady can't win the big one any more? Gillette stadium was booing Brady yesterday. I could not believe it
  9. QUOTE (knightni @ Jan 16, 2011 -> 10:28 PM) Just give him his 10 year 330 mil deal and get it over with. I wouldnt give him that much money or those years. Not with his elbow and knee issues
  10. Can you guys really believe this is happening? Bears/Packers in the NFC Championship game at Soldier Field. Teams that win catch breaks along the way, and the Bears have had a good share of them, but they also have remained amazingly healthy and have put up some wins against playoff teams. This game is going to be huge, the hype will be great, i cannot wait until it starts. Aw f***, the NFL chose Lee DeWyze to sing the National Anthem at the NFC Championship game(Fox American Idol tie-in)

I watched the movie Grand Theft Parsons starring Johnny Knoxville the other day, and I actually really liked it. Hard to believe that really happened(for the most part, I know some was embellished)
  12. QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ Jan 14, 2011 -> 08:39 AM) We also can't have the NFL telling us what football is. I know what a incomplete pass is and what a fumble is, most people do. It is the most ludicrous rule ever. those hi def cameras make everyone view a super slo mo play in a different way. Im not defending the rule, but I agree with the gray area comment

Battle for Los Angeles new trailer looks very cool
  14. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jan 12, 2011 -> 10:32 AM) He dropped a couple easy ones at the beginning of the season and that was it for him it seemed. Apparently Aromashadu has sat in Martz's doghouse for two reasons, 1: he doesnt block, and 2: he refuses to learn any other WR position other than the 1. He fancies himself as the number one guy and doesnt feel the need to learn the rest. And those big drops in game 1 just doomed him
  15. Brock Lesnar agreed to coach TUF 13 opposite Junior Dos Santos
  16. If Grant had remained healthy we still would not know who this Starks fellow was

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 8, 2011 -> 05:43 PM) the last movie Cage made that I enjoyed was Matchstick Men. All of his action movies are ridiculously over the top and full of his corny one liners QUOTE (Felix @ Jan 8, 2011 -> 07:02 PM) CON AIR Matchstick Men came out in 2003, Con Air came out in 1997. I enjoyed Con Air, I enjoyed The Rock, but those were the beginning movies of a long string of movies that Cage didnt stray much from the formula. Season of the Witch looks to be the weakest imitation of the bunch.
  18. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jan 9, 2011 -> 10:51 PM) I guess Jones didn't know enough secrets about Seattle's defense to help. 15 carries for 59 yards (3.9 yards per rush) 6 receptions for 61 yards 2 touchdowns. I would say he helped
  19. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Jan 9, 2011 -> 02:15 AM) NFL needs to protect one its most important assets. . . kickers. I know you are being sarcastic, but kickers are extremely exposed when they are doing their thing. One wrong roll on a planted leg and we are looking at a pretty ugly injury

  21. apparently the Pistons arent so keen on this deal for their interests
  22. i love how Diamond Taylor became eligible, had a nice first game, then Lowery buried him on the bench for three straight games. cant wait til that thieving pos is gone
  23. QUOTE (knightni @ Jan 6, 2011 -> 09:42 PM) Tom Coughlin He coached the Jags for 7 years after he was at Boston College. The Giants werent his first go around in the NFL. If Harbaugh gets the money they are rumoring(7-8 mil a year) I am going to laugh my ass off at TRU doing the dougie.
