QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 8, 2010 -> 09:48 AM) Is there really a need for a "I Spit On Your Grave" remake? Is it another Michael Bay remake? He is doing all of those 70's - early 80's remakes lately

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 7, 2010 -> 09:10 PM) Any chance Gardy loses his job for once again failing to get that team to the next level? he buried his jersey from game 1. He is safe

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Oct 7, 2010 -> 04:02 PM) What I meant by that comment is that he wasn't making it a distraction every single day as many would lead you to believe. He made one mention stating he knew it was his last season there, he would enjoy it and he was thankful to be able to play for the Pats. I don't see what's wrong with that considering he hasn't said anything since then like he stated. Even Adam Schefter confirmed the same as well. He shouldnt of said it at all. It was a selfish b**** move. As soon as it left his mouth it became a distraction every single day, especially in the Boston media.

QUOTE (ChWRoCk2 @ Oct 7, 2010 -> 02:33 PM) Yeah, GB can't catch a f***ing break this year. Barnett, Grant, Burnett and Chilar out for the season, all starters. And who knows when Bigby & Harris will be back. i knew about the other three, didnt know about chilar

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 7, 2010 -> 11:27 AM) It's one thing to be ultra-competitive in a recreation beer league like softball, but its another thing when its a kickball league. Some people need to take it easy, its f***ing kickball. OVER THE LINE!!!!!!!!!!

Nick Barnett out for the season, same injury that got Urlacher

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Oct 6, 2010 -> 05:47 PM) Moss has been showing up for once all season. Is he secretly pouting that he isn't getting paid? It's possible. But at the same time, let's not make it seem like he isn't trying out there. You can say that about his other stops, but not in NE. As far as the Pats, it's going to hurt them alot more than what people think. We'll see how good Welker is when dealing with double teams and the #1 corner zeroing in on him. They have no running attack whatsoever. And their defense, especially their secondary, is not good enough to hang. They might miss the playoffs this year. Secretly??? Did you hear his press conference in week 1?

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 6, 2010 -> 02:35 PM) This is an insanely uninformed post. Sure, the Pats are deep. Sure, Brandon Tate is solid. He's no f***ing Randy Moss. Pre-Moss, the Patriots' defense was good enough that they were fine with the amount of points they put up. Moss changes a gameplan and how other teams defend. He draws consistent double-teams, allowing the "little engine that could" Welker to run free all the time. The Patriots have absolutely no running attack, and their offense is going to take a HUGE hit with Moss now gone. Their defense is nowhere near good enough to consider them legitimate contenders without Moss. They basically extended a middle-finger to their fans with this move, but no one is saying it yet. When they get bounced in the first round because they can't score, they'll realize that this third round pick was not worth trading the one guy other than Brady on your offense who can be considered a true difference maker. This move was insanely dumb. PS - And PUH LEEZE with the "no receptions on Monday night crap"! The Special Teams scored so many points that passing was moot. I think the entire idea here is that a pouting Randy Moss is truly next to worthless. The guy jakes it when he doesnt get paid, and he knew the Pats werent going to pay him after this season because that is how the Pats work. It was a lose lose situation for the Pats, they had to get something out of him and hope that Edelman, Tate and Welker, plus Hernandez and Gronkowski could pick up the slack.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Oct 6, 2010 -> 10:36 AM) The game isn't nearly as close if the Patriots are playing a team with anything resembling a decent special teams unit. This doesnt matter, you could say the Bears game would be much closer if the Bears had anything resembling a decent offensive line. They didnt. And they lost. badly

QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 5, 2010 -> 07:29 PM) They don't want Superman Jr., I know that. That was extremely dumb, I totally agree

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 5, 2010 -> 04:10 PM) I can see why a lot of people don't like 300, but at least it provided you with some mindless action. Superman Returns was simply unbearable. During my Junior year of college, I downloaded it off of one of those DC++ programs and it came in two parts. Once the first part ended, I didn't even have it in me to start the second half. It's been four years and I still haven't even considered finishing it. THAT'S how bad Superman Returns is. I liked it, but I liked the original Richard Donner movies, which Superman Returns was supposed to end. I really thought Kevin Spacey played a mean Lex Luthor well. I can see why people dont like it, but I understand what Singer was trying to do. He just was off course in his thinking of what Superman and comic book fans wanted

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 5, 2010 -> 11:34 AM) The first one sucked so much that I still haven't even finished watching it. are you saying 300 sucked, or the first Superman reboot

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 5, 2010 -> 09:41 AM) I'll throw this out there... Joseph Gordon-Levitt whoa man, you are way ahead of everyone else, lol Zach Snyder(300, Watchmen, Legend of the Guardians) to direct "The Man of Steel" (superman reboot) Apparently General Zod is to be the main villain, and Brandon Routh is likely NOT going to return

Nolan said the Joker will not be recast

i think Robin Williams would be good, but he may be a little bit old. Maybe someone like Timothy Olyphant would be good

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Oct 4, 2010 -> 03:08 PM) I really agree with you. I've long been a huge proponent of drafting the lines. Angelo has done that with the dline, but ignored the line that protects your franchise player. It really is dispicable. I hope the Bears have some FA money to throw around because we already know we'll use at least 1 top pick on a lineman and probably 2. I'd be perfectly content if our 1st and 2nd round picks went oline and we signed a FA olineman. My only hope is that Tice can somehow develop Omilaye, Williams (Both of them), Asiatta, and Webb. They are all young and I'll see if they can somehow turn into something. Most of them are incredibly raw though. Oh and hopefully they won't kill Cutler, but I have a scary feeling Cutler's career will end this year (and it could just be the constant pressure that forces Cutler to go the way a once promising David Carr did). he was released last week and just re-signed to the practice squad

QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 4, 2010 -> 01:21 PM) Heath Ledger wasn't a Nolan-style pick either, but he did a wonderful job. i disagree. people didnt think ledger was a joker type actor, because they didnt know what type of joker that nolan was going to portray, but ledger played many different roles(comedy, drama, teeny bopper, hero adventure). david cross has pretty much played the same sort of character with little difference. i like it, i just dont think nolan would want him. the riddler is going to have an edge, of that im sure

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 4, 2010 -> 01:12 PM) What about Jackie Earle Haley? i could see that. But JEH has quite a sinister look, you could bring him in for a few different villains. Catwoman or Talia Al-Ghul are also rumored to be in the movie QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 4, 2010 -> 01:13 PM) I liked the Eminem rumor. until the casting is set, anyone that mentions the role will be rumored for it.

there is always a few episodes that drag during a season, i have a feeling they are getting these episodes out of the way early. And truthfully, I am enjoying watching what is happening, Dexter is really wrestling with the dark passenger and his father/conscience.

QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 4, 2010 -> 01:08 PM) David Cross might be a out of left field pick for The Riddler. I dont see him in the Nolan mold either.
-
a cast reading leak has pretty much confirmed that the Riddler will be the villain in the upcoming Batman 3 movie. There have been a few different rumors as to who might play him (edward norton, joseph gordon-levitt, dane cook, johnny depp). Anyone have any preferences as to whom they think would make a good riddler? I still think Jim Carrey embraced and embodied the character, but I know he wouldnt fit in Christopher Nolan's Batman Universe. I have a feeling he will pick a known commodity, but a surprise name.
