  1. ok, thats fine. Just regurgitating a list I have seen previously. No need to get your panties in a bunch, lol Another name I didnt have on my list was Mangini in Cleveland. He has done better than expected this year, but he just isnt Holmgrens guy
  2. The list of coaches either fired or on the hot seat is pretty long this year Den McDaniels(fired) Dal Phillips(fired) SF Singletary(fired) Min Childress(fired) Hot seat NYG Coughlin Cin Lewis Jac Del Rio SD Turner(im including him even though he got a vote of confidence from his team president) Tex Kubiak Mia Sparano Car Foxx Ari Whisenhunt Ind Caldwell That is quite a big possibility of massive turnover this year

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Dec 28, 2010 -> 10:54 AM) Going to the movies tonight or tomorrow: Black Swan or True Grit? Little Fockers
  4. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Dec 27, 2010 -> 08:45 AM) Stephen Jackson isn't even close to the answer to our problems, so I don't buy those rumors for an instant. He hasn't shot above .420% since 2007 and isn't a team player. And we aren't trading Taj when we don't have Noah. I only trade that Bobcats pick in a deal for a legit superstar. I would like to see what Ronnie Brewer can do starting because I don't think people give him enough credit. When given starter minutes wit the Jazz two yeas ago ago he averaged 14 point per game. He shoots a high percentage because he plays within himself and gets the majority of his baskets around the hoop. Add to that great defense, why do people think we are in desperate need of a 2-guard. Brewer is the guy if he got the chance. Once we get Noah, we don't need a 2-guard to score 20 points, we need him to be like Brewer. Brewer doesnt have the jumpshot to be the starting two guard. He gets a lot of tough baskets and garbage baskets by being smart and playing around the hoop, but I have seen enough of Bogans bricks out of the starting two guard spot, I dont want to start hating Brewer because he is taking too many jumpshots that he shouldnt be taking. I like him in the role he is in, coming off the bench as the first SG reserve and bringing his D to the table.
  5. QUOTE (greg775 @ Dec 27, 2010 -> 02:06 AM) How do u know? He can still pitch for anybody. How do u know? Like always, you conveniently gloss over the bad with Bobby Jenks because he had World Series saves. The guy was absolutely brutal last year and cost the Sox some pretty big games, specifically games like versus the Twins in the first series after the All Star Break. You know, where the Twins started their insane run that took the Sox out of first place.
  6. Bears D needs to get its head out of its ass. Cutlers pick 6 was bad, but the offense is starting to come around a little bit. The D needs to hold down the fort
  7. I really hate b****ing about the refs, but Rose still gets killed driving to the lane and never gets to the line. I try not to complain but its hard not to. I usually leave it off the board and yell at the TV though
  8. LeBron thinks contraction would be great for the NBA. Maybe they could contract teams that have fanbases that dont really care about their team. Like, ohhhh, The Heat
  9. clausen has had two of the better runners in the league(williams and stewart), and has had steve smith to throw to all year, his numbers should be better than they are. i wonder if it is preperation or skills
  10. the production value of NFL on the NFL network is embarrassingly subpar. Every game I have ever watched sounds like a subdued crowd is watching it. Pittsburgh scores a touchdown and you can barely tell the crowd popped

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Dec 23, 2010 -> 06:15 PM) Tron soundtrack? I laughed when I heard Journey's "Separate Hearts", thinking back to 2005 again. Actually of all the Journey songs, that's one of the few I actually sort of liked...fast beat, kind of a driving rhythm comparing to their other ballady stuff. More like a STYX song, haha. The other song I remember vividly was Eurythmics...since it was supposed to evoke 1982, those were 2 good choices. I enjoy electronic/techno music, and there were some interesting choices interspersed. Actually, Social Network might have the best soundtrack to fit the film...the Trent Reznor project he worked on for quite some time to get it exactly right. Daft Punk did the soundtrack, that is probably why you were asked. Personally, I am not going to judge Tron after watching it on my PC, I want the full IMAX 3D experience before I say a word about it. However my buddy, who is on my blacklist at the moment for going to see it without me, told me it is awesome and he was a big fan of the original like me

  15. Is Pryor guaranteed to stay next year? If he goes pro(even with the CBA negotiations putting the season in doubt) he could just say "f*** you NCAA"

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 22, 2010 -> 01:00 PM) Just the movies I've watched so far during Winter Break. No ranking, just the order I watched them in. And I enjoyed Caddyshack a lot. I love the contrast in Chevy Chase's subtle humor with the outlandish Rodney Dangerfield. And Bill Murray is amazing. Also thinking about going to see True Grit today. The scene where Bill Murray goes to talk to Chevy Chase at his house is the first time those two had actually talked to each other after their very publicized backstage fight on the set of SNL. They hadnt talked to each other leading up to the scene and never rehearsed it, it was all ad libbed. if you watch the scene knowing that, it is very good
  17. KC Johnson on the score this morning said that we should want no part of Rip, he is done. He kind of hinted that the Bulls FO feels the same
  18. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Dec 21, 2010 -> 05:59 PM) If it's valid criticism, it's valid criticism, no matter what the source is. It's no longer valid if it's untrue. Did Young or Dilfer say anything last night that is untrue? I thought calling the bears pathetic was untrue and uncalled for. So yes. And again, I didnt mention anything in regards to the source. If anyone said it, I would be pissed. By the way, do you have the video for the postgame? You seem to know exactly what was and was not said for the entire postgame, I am going off of what I watched over 12 hours ago. Please post the video if you have it
  19. so if we are pissed at Dilfer for calling the bears and cutler pathetic, when we all heard it, we should accept that as valid criticism otherwise we follow the team blindly? This is valid criticism in your world nite? In case you havent noticed throughout the course of this argument, everyone is conceding that Cutler still is not a polished quarterback and has issues. We recognize that, and nobody is ripping on Young and Dilfer for pointing those issues out. The problem is that their criticisms were overwhelming their praises, and this was after Cutler had another 100+ QB rating game with 3 touchdowns and 1 boneheaded INT, which very well could have been negated with a helmet to helmet hit by the CB. It wasnt selective hearing by me. I heard the praises as well, but I also heard about how bad Cutler was and how brave Favre was the entire postgame. If i just listened to them and didnt know the score I would have thought the bears lost the game.

Was there a scene like that with Gina Gerson? Can't remember anymore. Are you possibly thinking of Jessie from 'Saved by the Bell' in Showgirls? dont remember anything like that in striptease and I think the Gina Gershon moment was with Jennifer Tilly in another movie called Bound

  23. QUOTE (Chi Town Sox @ Dec 21, 2010 -> 10:48 AM) Agreed, but he also dropped in the draft (not because of lack of talent) because of a neck injury and even if Peppers is on the line, he still has to make it to the Quarterback and did so on the play on Mount McDouche lol was it a neck injury? I thought he blew out his knee
