  1. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 09:11 AM) yeah, and he never did anything else left handed, I think I heard him say other than throwing a baseball he is/was really uncoordinated with his left arm even his throwing motion looks uncomfortable
  2. I think Scott Skiles gets an unfair rep for not being a people person. I think his problem is that he tries to hold NBA players accountable for their mistakes, and tries to get his teams to actually play as a team. This rubs NBA players the wrong way because it is a me-first league and the inmates run the asylum, not because he is wrong.
  3. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 8, 2010 -> 01:08 AM) Really? Holy crap. I think the story goes that he broke his right arm in high school, so he went out back to his barn and just started throwing with his left arm over and over until he got it right.
  4. QUOTE (PeavyTime @ Apr 7, 2010 -> 02:55 PM) Hmmmmm...3.71/8 doesn't equal .429 either it was quick and bad math.
  5. QUOTE (SteveB23 @ Apr 7, 2010 -> 02:50 PM) http://www.huffingtonpost.com/ed-koch/i-ha...r_b_526105.html you have to sign the acknowledgement thread that is sticky posted at the top of the filibuster before you can participate
  6. QUOTE (PeavyTime @ Apr 7, 2010 -> 02:36 PM) How do you bat .429 in 8 at-bats? Kotsay should be on the bench, or at least batting no higher than 7th. I don't have any problem with the guy, I'm just pissed he was put into this position. in his 5th AB he shattered his bat to the handle, but got a hit. So they rewarded him with .71 percent of a hit
  7. QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 7, 2010 -> 09:17 AM) they really gave up on rap this year, which is odd. they must have decided after Cypress Hill they could call it a day
  8. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Apr 7, 2010 -> 01:17 PM) I disagree strongly. They could do a lot worse. Look at the Detroit Pistons and John Kuester. They were infinitely worse this season and they have a roster that rivals ours for most of the season. Minnesota didn't improve much at all either, but they are learning the triangle, so I will cut them some slack. We have seen a lot worse in these parts with guys like Boylan and Floyd. The Illini's ex head coach before Bill Self came along who's name escapes me stunk the place up in Atlanta. You could do infinitely worse with all the injuries and flaws on this roster. There's a reason why even Jeff Van Gundy said the Bulls are expecting too much out of Del Negro when he's coaching a team that has talent to win no more than 30 games. It was the truth. And to put it in even more perspective, the Bulls have never hired a veteran coach other than Scott Skiles in their entire team history. And even then, Skiles coached like 2 seasons with PHX, so I wouldn't call him a vet. Last, but not least, there's no clear upgrade whatsoever out there other than maybe Doug Collins who JR won't hire. Everyone can speculate such and such would be better. There's no proven case out there though. Unless you want Avery Johnson telling Derrick to slow down the ball and him have to look at the sidelines to get every play from AJ. Lou Henson....no wait, Kruger?
  9. i found it odd that it isnt really mentioned in the MLBTR blurb. That could be the main point of contention, why would you want to sign a guy to a big contract if he has to leave in a year
  10. i thought I remember reading somewhere that he has Korean Army service time requirements that need to be fulfilled in the next few years
  11. If Carmona has bounced back so much this spring, I dont really understand why Westbrook would be made the opening day starter for them. Westbrook is coming off an injury year, Carmona is just coming off of a bad year. Carmona was really great a few years ago, if they really thought he was reverting back to form, then he should of been the opening day starter IMO
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 7, 2010 -> 10:29 AM) As long as he is canned...and soon...I don't know there would have been much benefit to doing it at X-mas. Weren't going to find a better coach for these 4 months at christmas time. We'd more likely have been stuck with another Jim Boylan fiasco. Bernie Bickerstaff at least has had multiple head coaching jobs so he has experience, which Boylan did not. And I think there could of been a benefit, there have been plenty of games that all of us b****ed about that were winnable games, but it came down to coaching as the reason that they were lost.

i love the car with all of the people crossed out on it. That cracks me up every time
  14. Big Papi not happy with the Boston media now that he is reverting back to his Minnesota Twins form
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 7, 2010 -> 07:11 AM) You sound surprised by this. Not surprised. Pissed off. Vinny should of been canned around Christmas when he was supposed to be
  16. In my mind the Bulls lost the chance to go to the playoffs last night. There was no excuse for them to come out that flat, that unorganized, that sloppy. They EXPECTED Milwaukee to lie down for them because Bogut was out, and had no idea what they wanted to do. Any time Deng wants to make a shot after the first quarter will be fine by me. And if anything should get Vinny fired, the last minute of the game last night should. 7.3 seconds left, and you have Brad Miller drive to the hoop when you are down 3 points? And whats with all the embarrassing defensive switching done during the game? Noah guarding Salmons? Taj closing out on 3 point shooters? They deserved to lose.
  17. QUOTE (Linnwood @ Apr 6, 2010 -> 05:35 PM) I want to know why no one is asking the important question: Why didn't he come to Chicago to throw out the first pitch?! He is the President of the United States, I would think he has the pull to get that worked out. because it was tradition to have the president to throw out the first pitch. Because its washington DC
  18. have they ever actually gone back and pointed out the DVR ratings that they said would make a difference?
  19. Rod Thorn drafted Michael Jordan, not Krause.
  20. QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 5, 2010 -> 07:43 PM) lol, if anyone is jealous, it's them, since we have that Peavy guy if you follow that facebook post, it is absolutely hysterical. Some totally insecure cubs fans spewing out hilarious garbage

  22. Ha, I just read that Barack Obama snuck on a white sox cap before throwing out his first pitch at the Nats game. Who was complaining that we get no love?
