  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 24, 2010 -> 09:45 AM) Because we all know the Bears will pay two guys $15 million a year, or more... Apparently Jerry and Lovie are in total job/ass saving mode, so one of the two will probably be a strong possibility. Not both though
  2. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 24, 2010 -> 09:17 AM) I seriously cringe every time he takes a time out in the last few minutes. We literally turn the ball over about 90 percent of the time out of a timeout in the last couple minutes of a game, it's absolutely god damn f***in pathetic. Altman just bided his time and pantsed Lowery at the end. He waited for Lowery to go away from what was working(Teague and Fay), and just forced Young down the lane repeatedly. Refs hate Booker, btw. That kid gets called for a foul for breathing wrong. He must whine a lot or something, I cannot recall a player that gets called for more ticky tack fouls than him.
  3. Mosi Tatupu(father of Seahawks LB Lofa Tatupu) died at 54 years old
  4. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Feb 24, 2010 -> 09:07 AM) I see football as being much different than baseball because of how the two sports are structured economically. Football currently has a salary floor and ceiling with revenue sharing. Baseball has nothing other than revenue sharing to make it SEEM as if they actually care about Tampa or KC. Baseball's financial structure is based on haves and have nots. Football is designed for parody. Football is designed to be a mockery of itself? Parity
  5. Happy Birthday Steve, Happy Birthday Alex Rios
  6. QUOTE (MEANS @ Feb 24, 2010 -> 06:10 AM) pretty sure he's been on there for some time now, this isn't new news except his first tweet 10 hours ago was "finally I am on this twitter thing it's about time!" so maybe it is news
  7. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Feb 23, 2010 -> 06:29 PM) I actually just reread my post and noticed that i really did say empirical twice in, like, two sentences. Should i be concerned? I noticed it in multiple posts in the past few weeks, thats why I asked. Maybe it was just the word of the day on your dictionary calender
  8. QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ Feb 23, 2010 -> 03:22 PM) You're with someone for years and it ends. Not with screaming and shouting necessarily but it ends, just the same. Question: can you be friends with your ex? people are wired differently on that one. Some people yes, some people unequivocally no. I needed time to forget before I could even attempt to be a friend
  9. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 23, 2010 -> 01:24 PM) Women are very influenced by the array of hormones that change levels constantly through their system over the course of a month. They are all usually some degree of crazy. But so are men. We like to get into fights to see who is toughest and watch sports with ridiculous intensity. Men do dumb stuff. Women do crazy stuff. JMO
  10. My buddies from the band Revis are getting back together and making another album. Im pretty stoked about that
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 23, 2010 -> 11:49 AM) The article about James makes no sense. He won't go to the Heat because both him and Wade would want to dominate the ball. I'm sure that's true, but why would he come to Chicago where we have one of the best point guards in the league? because he knows Rose will get him the ball?
  12. Awe isnt that nice that he is sucking up to the team that he never wanted to go to but paid him the most
  13. QUOTE (everafan @ Feb 23, 2010 -> 10:44 AM) Anyone suspicious that Jones is reportedly in great shape but there haven't been any pictures? he wont be able to avoid the camera for too long
  14. So I guess you could say it is possible that his leg injury affected his production.
  15. QUOTE (SI1020 @ Feb 23, 2010 -> 09:22 AM) I read this and thought with an exception here and there I pretty much agree with Greg all the way down the line. Does that make me a pessimist too? If it were only that simple
  16. This is basically the non-fire version of Arson, isnt it? I love how he just tells the story like its no big deal
  17. Andruw started off April on fire, that was where he got most of his power numbers. When did he get injured? His May was just "ok", and then he fell off the table
  18. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Feb 23, 2010 -> 06:55 AM) On HBK/'Taker II. There's no way that this can't main event. Especially if you're doing something such as career vs. streak. With that being said, I can see HBK losing, taking his time off & being "provoked" to come back. I think it will still take second fiddle to Hart/McMahon
  19. I always say all women are crazy. You just need to know what level of crazy you can put up with. My wife even agrees. Shack, even though I am late to the conversation I think you handled it correctly. You pushed a little initially when texting and calling, but you let her come to you and talk to you about it. You just happened to pick a wrong day for dinner and a movie.
  20. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Feb 22, 2010 -> 05:37 PM) The difference is that Jones and Kotsay aren't declining. They've declined, they're shells of the players they once were. Any theory about Thome and Damon declining is conjecture and projection. Their's no daming empirical evidence that points to them being inadequate this year. Meanwhile, we have ample reason and empirical support to the belief that Kotsay and Jones aren't going to cut it. do you have a mandate that suggexts you need to put "empirical" in all of your posts now?
  21. QUOTE (greg775 @ Feb 22, 2010 -> 03:21 PM) What's your problem? You got the Monday blues? I never said he has to hit .400 the first month. The guy needs to produce at the money he's making, not be a Brian Anderson, all D and no offense. Rios is easy to hate. He needs to change it and fast. My problem is your neverending pessimism regarding anything that has to do with the Sox players, and conversely your optimism about players walking out the door. My problem is that Rios had a bad year last year, admittedly from Rios and everyone within the White Sox and Blue Jays organizations, yet he isnt allowed to have a bad year because.....well just because. Rios is young, he has been an all star already, his defense is superior to everyone on the team, and he get a fresh start. You ask me what my problem is, after you just buried Rios just like you have buried so many players? What is your problem? I am not allowed to inject a little sarcasm? Why do I have to listen to you wax poetic about how Thome will kill us, and Dye will hit us hard, and oh-my-god this(pick one) ex white sox player is on the Royals so he is going to want to kill us everytime he plays us, dear lord the season is over.
  22. I also think the broken leg angle allows McMahon to once again accept the match, since it will be against a hobbled Bret Hart. longshot, I dont see how you can NOT see a Hart/McMahon faceoff at this point.

    Films Thread

I actually expected him to come back and do that Milkman, and I was surprised he didnt do it. Really though, he was a wimp, and that carried all the way until right before Christopher left, so it kind of makes sense in that respect.
  24. QUOTE (La Marr Hoyt HOF @ Feb 22, 2010 -> 03:05 PM) If they hussle and suck, no problem. If they take $60m, dont care/hussle, and suck, I have a real big problem... No need to be calling anyone 'pathetic' -- with 64k posts on a website, you clearly have a lot of free time on your hands. Almost as much free time as someone has to bombard a website about Alex Rios. Your opinion on Rios has been noted multiple times. Its done, its tired, and it had no place in this thread, especially along with that lame link.
