I watched a movie on AMC the other night, and there was a scene where someone swore and they dubbed "Jeepers Creepers!" over it. I was laughing about that for a while

QUOTE (CryptviLL @ Jan 11, 2010 -> 10:19 PM) The MVP / Miz Sequence was entertaining, then they went to Eve vs "Jobber" (Didn't even get an entrance) Katie Lea, whack match, then a 2 minute vince promo (wtf?), then a 5 min terrible main event, with hornswoggle ruining another match I am very sick of these dx + guest hosts happy endings, these hosts are terrible They are close to ending the guest hosts(after Mania I believe), and not a second too soon. Jon Heder and Don Johnson, wooooooooohooooooooo. The Rock and Austin better come back with a vengeance when they finally make their guest host appearances

QUOTE (Brian @ Jan 11, 2010 -> 09:50 PM) Because Superman Returns was so good? Im talking Xmen and X2. And you know what? I liked Superman Returns. It wasnt what everyone wanted, but it was a nice pay of respect to the Christopher Reeves movies. It wasnt a terrible movie, it just wasnt anything new and it should have been something other than Superman vs Lex Luthor again.

QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jan 11, 2010 -> 10:15 PM) Yeah, your right. Resurrecting that program meant nothing. at what cost Brian. What if the NCAA tells USC to vacate a portion of those victories? The bowls, the championships, the accolades. Then you have a probation period in which USC isnt bowl eligible and the recruiting goes into the toilet and you end up right back to where you started. Then what will you say.

How about the next Leterrier or Favreau? I want a fanboy directing the next spidey, not a big name director. And if it was a big name director, I would want Bryan Singer.

QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jan 11, 2010 -> 07:25 PM) As (I think) being the lone USC fan here, I will say that obviously I'm disappointed. I love Pete. I love everything he has done for that program. He's a great guy and very well liked by the SC fans. Then again, I can't blame him. IIRC, he just got a $3m per year raise, and he's going to a new challenge. What more can he accomplish at USC? From 2001 until now, he's won 97 games, 7 P10 titles, 1 BCS national title, has had 2 Heisman winners, and has went 7-2 in bowl games. I hope he succeeds like hell up in Seattle. Are you going to say that when the NCAA brings down the disciplinary hammer and you realize that Carroll jumped ship so he wouldnt be affected?

QUOTE (almagest @ Jan 11, 2010 -> 06:07 PM) You might also want to check out the two Tales of Symphonia games (one on Gamecube, one on Wii). I have the gamecube version and I love it. However they changed the battle mode for the Wii version and the reviews I have read have really scared me off. Im waiting to see it in a bargain bin. But the first version is great, if a bit corny. The active battle instead of turn based is awesome

QUOTE (jphat007 @ Jan 11, 2010 -> 06:20 PM) What is wrong with me!?!?! I just have a bad feeling about the Pierre, Rios, Teahen signings/trades. And I really can't explain it. It's just an ominous feeling. Here's to hoping they all have career years. I'll be back and positive and thinking Teahen will slug .480 come the start of Spring Training. It's just frustrating to see Nick Johnson get 5.75 mil while we are giving similar to Juan Pierre and Mark Teahen I think it would be equally as frustrating if we gave Nick Johnson that money and he took his annual 2 month vacation to the DL in the middle of the season

QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jan 11, 2010 -> 05:28 PM) The Packers would win if they played again. Well thats your opinion. Personally I think the Vikings would do the same thing that the Cardinals just did, only with a bit better defense. The Vikings defensive line is way better than the Cardinals

I was reading a review of the upcoming game called Fragile Dreams:Farewell Ruins and looked to the sidebar at the "other games you might like" list. I never knew all of those games were even out for the Wii. I like the anime style RPGs, I wish I knew they were released, I would have more of them in my collection right now. Fragile Dreams is one i have been keeping my eye on, Im hoping thats a good one.

QUOTE (SnB @ Jan 11, 2010 -> 01:05 PM) i've owned all of the major mario karts (non portables) and double dash (the one for gamecube) has been my favorite. But that could just be the case because I was in college for that one. I loved double dash, I really liked how you could combine the elements of the driver and passenger and get different blocks as a result. I miss that in Mario Kart Wii, although there is nothing wrong with that game. The bikes are pretty fun. If you want, me and some friends play online on Thursdays, let me know and I will send you my Kart code and you can jump in

Borga worked for WWE in 1993 and 1994 and most notably feuded with Lex Luger. After retiring from pro wrestling, he tried MMA out and later served in parliament in Finland from 2003-2007. Interesting trivia, Halme was Randy Coutures first MMA fight. Couture won by choke in 53 seconds

QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Jan 11, 2010 -> 06:40 AM) For me it's not even that. Even if 75% of what they churn out is crap, I'd rather see original crap than unoriginal, entirely derivative crap. I don't spend my life railing against it other than commenting here, but really, is there even a point to some of these "reboots" when sometimes their near shot-for-shot remakes of the original source film (see, John Moore's 2006 The Omen as one of the premier examples). FlaSoxx, I dont want to sound like I am coming down on you specifically about it. Like I said, it just gets old for me. I would rather hear "that movie looks like its going to suck" as opposed to "how unoriginal" because of the fact that a large portion of hollywood is not based on original film scripts and is based on other peoples work, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Batman, Wizard of Oz etc. I agree a lot of the remakes reboots reimagine-ings are crap, but there are some that are stuck in there that actually work(Star Trek) and I enjoy. But I remember when Star Trek came out, the same "how unoriginal" "aw another reboot?" complaints came out and it just wears thin. You know that I appreciate a lot of the same things in film/books/comics that you do, this is just conversation to me, no hard feelings

QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Jan 10, 2010 -> 09:26 PM) Ach, there looks to be plenty of crap coming out of the Hollywood for the forseeable future, and you are more than welcome to my share of it. The original stuff isnt the fluff and filler that you complain about. The original stuff is usually the oscar-worthy stuff and the movies you see at Sundance and Cannes.
