  1. Did anyone hear Dotel on the Score with Boers and Goff a few hours ago? He was hilarious. He starts off with "Are you guys excited for the game tonite? I am!" and somewhere in the interview he says "We will do what it takes to win, if we have to cheat to win, then we will cheat to win" LOL It was a really funny interview, he sounds like a funny guy
  2. QUOTE (rangercal @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 04:51 PM) I'm pretty sure regular season. It counts towards my fantasy stats. really? My season ended on the 28th
  3. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 01:58 PM) Double lucky. Having tickets and having a girlfriend smart and willing enough to do that. I wish I was going, but I'm sure everybody who is will make a great crowd tonight. I think you had that girl. Then you were mean to her and told her to go away
  4. QUOTE (rangercal @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 02:43 PM) ummm what? Just my random hope that Ben Gordon is gone
  5. Did Ben Gordons bank account grow because he was signed and traded to another team?
  6. QUOTE (shipps @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 09:09 AM) A little superstitious there kyyle? dont stomp on it. Its working QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 09:08 AM) They've been pimping it? Was willie harris on or something? They tried, but he was busy with his own ho's. So Brooks took care of it this morning
  7. QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 10:05 AM) Dude Brooks knows what he's doing. I'd be f'n stoked about the sox in a one-game playoff no matter, but add in this blackout and I just can't wait for it to start. question for Chicago people, on 670 or 1000 are they talking about wearing black? They have been pimping it since last night
  8. QUOTE (Cubano @ Sep 30, 2008 -> 08:38 AM) My comments in red. Alexei said: Before the at-bat, while Tigers reliever Gary Glover warmed up on the mound at U.S. Cellular Field, White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen called Ramirez over to the dugout. He told the Cuban-born rookie to be patient and relax. Try not to do too much, the skipper said. "I'm going to do what I've always done," Ramirez told his manager. "Have confidence in me. I'm going to go out there and get those runners home somehow." And he did. Swinging at the first pitch from Glover may not have been the patient approach, but it was certainly the right one. This is about confidence in your abilities and know you can deliver big time. You have to listen to your manager but the bottom line is you are the one that has to go out there and hit. If you think the pitcher is going to throw a cookie to get ahead of you, swing that first pitch and do not let him get the first strike easy. "I think people in Cuba that have access to TV or radio and were able to watch this are very happy," Ramirez said through translator Lou Hernandez. "They know that I'm always going to give them everything I have. I've always given them everything I have. I left it all on the field in Cuba. I think they're really happy." Ramirez said his Cuban team was routinely in the playoffs, and having played in the Olympics and other international games, he understood the situation he found himself in on Monday. Handling pressure hasn't been a problem for Ramirez all season. Twelve of his 21 homers have come in the seventh inning or later. When he comes to the plate in those situations, he simply treats it like he would any other at-bat. "I'm thinking about that at-bat," Ramirez said of his approach at the plate. "I'm thinking about that pitcher, and forgetting about all the other at-bats that I've had in prior games and even this game. "I'm never looking for any [specific] pitch. I have my zone. If the ball crosses my zone, then I'm going to hit it. If it's there, if it's in the middle, it's going to get hit." Alexei is not lying here. His team was often in the playoffs. His team, the Pinar del Rio Green Sox, is among the fourth most storied teams in Cuba. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/news/artic...sp&c_id=cws Just out of curiosity, what kind of player is Alexei in the playoffs?
  9. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Sep 29, 2008 -> 02:16 PM) I have temporary possession of a WII. I have 2 controllers with nunchucks. What would be some fun games to rent? Super Mario Galaxy, Mario Kart I just rented boom blox, it was a fun puzzle game.
  10. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 29, 2008 -> 08:03 PM) Rock, what do you use ondemand for most of the time? I don't really use ondemand at all, I mainly just access my recorded stuff on the DVR. Maybe I'm missing something. We watch movies available from the premium package we have(HBO and Encore) and the free movie channels, my wife watches lots of reality show reruns ondemand(survivor, big brother, etc). there is some good stuff in there if you look for it
  11. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Sep 29, 2008 -> 07:13 PM) Anyone else think we should make an all black background for the board tomorrow? this would be a fantastic idea
  12. someone needs to screenprint the homepage from ESPN right now and post the picture. Someone who is much smarter than me and has the right programs
  13. Gavin was the man tonite. Alexei was celebrating as soon as the bat made contact, that was just awesome. Tomorrow the Sox really need to bring it vs the Twins, clinching at home would be just amazing.
  14. QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Sep 29, 2008 -> 02:26 PM) All you need to do is look at the radar map on weather.com. Watch the map in motion by hitting the play button and you'll see the weather should be gone in 20 minutes if not quicker so figure what kind of time it will take to prepare the field and we're going to be playing baseball....at the latest I would say an hour from now I dont know, I think the friend at the game is quicker than weather.com in regards to letting people know whats gonna happen
  15. QUOTE (rangercal @ Sep 29, 2008 -> 01:17 PM) It seems like the Cowboys always abandon the run while in catchup mode. I think it's silly to run 0 back sets too. Why not keep the defense guessing? Especially when you have Barber and Jones back there.
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 29, 2008 -> 02:22 PM) Good God, I know it has only been a few minutes, but Boers and Bernstein has been horrible? Is it like this everyday? Depends on your sense of humor. You either love them or hate them
  17. QUOTE (Kid Gleason @ Sep 29, 2008 -> 11:00 AM) Does anybody know who does the song on "Mike And Mike In The Morning" that has the line (the only line they play) "Ruby, Ruby, Ruby"? Not so easy to Google the dang thing when all you have to go on is "Ruby" and "Mike". I know the feeling. Last night me and my wife saw a commercial where a female singer is singing "Ground Control to Major Tom", and we started arguing about who the singer was. I couldnt find it online anywhere
  18. "Enter Sandman" Metallica

  22. QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 28, 2008 -> 07:17 PM) What's gotten into Kyle Orton today? He is accidentally making good throws. Also, Devin Hester cannot catch at all. Dont you love when you say stuff like this and then he goes and does the opposite?
