I’m with you in that I am interested in keeping him and building around him, and he is the only thing really worth watching right now. I see the idea behind sell it all now, but I just am not on board with going full Oakland right now because it has no actual impetus behind it for this front office to actually try to win

Nah I’m just posting my thoughts on the trade here I’m not really interested in finding ridiculous posts and calling them out and I never said the rebuild didn’t fail nor did I say I don’t feel they should rebuild. This front office shouldn’t be anywhere near this and I am absolutely within my rights to question their ability to scout when acquiring assets

I don’t think either of these guys compare to Monty or Schultz and the more I read on Quero the more I’m thinking closer to Mark Johnson than Narvaez. And honestly it’s hard for me to trust the Sox farm system to get them where they need to be, so it actually isn’t meaningless to me that their farm system sucks because they have similar issues developing players and now the Sox have to carry that load. I was looking for players on the cusp of being in the majors and they got players they need to develop

They have to rebuild to a contending team. They are back to 2019 square one. They had Abreu as their little torch carrier through that and probably are dumb enough to think Luis would be happy to do the same thing

The point is Lucas should be signed by now, it should not have gotten to this point, and now they Sox are going to be replacing a starter regardless.
