  4. LOL, Quentin is just a beanball magnet. I didnt see it live, Im watching gameday. Hopefully it wasnt too painful
  5. When is the last time the sox scored a run by NOT hitting a homerun? Has to be a while
  6. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ May 4, 2008 -> 12:58 PM) probably not as happy as you appear to be Oh im overjoyed.
  7. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ May 4, 2008 -> 11:55 AM) it's only a matter of time before this team gets no-hit this year. Im sure you will be happy to be right about that too
  8. QUOTE (Gregory Pratt @ May 4, 2008 -> 11:35 AM) Watching Chad Durbin work my team over makes me sick. Watching the best in the game is a treat. I dont understand this at all. I dont like watching any player work over the White Sox, whether they be a superstar or a scrub. While I respected Johan Santana and how awesome he was, I hated watching him pitch against the sox

QUOTE (scenario @ May 4, 2008 -> 11:19 AM) I seriously think we ought to give Chris Getz a look. Until someone is dropped from the 40 man, I dont think he will be

Honestly I am really disappointed in Pablo this year so far, and I dont think his offense makes up for his lack of defense. Danny Richar cannot get healthy fast enough for me

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 4, 2008 -> 01:53 AM) I just recently viewed a pic of Dana Plato aka Kimberly Drummond from Different Strokes. She was a fox. That is so random, even for you

I didnt feel the need to eat greasy food before I went to bed last night, and there was no need to vomit this morning.

    Ok, now the funny part
  16. I dont know, I happen to think that the Illinois Lottery commercial "Have a ball" is 50X more annoying than the Miller chill commercials. The one with the old uglies dancing in the green room. I have seen and heard that commercial a billion times

I popped in Nine Inch Nails "Year Zero" this weekend. I never gave it a proper listen the first time around because I was really into something else at the time and figured I would come back to it eventually. To see Trent Reznor go from "I hate god" to "I hate life" and now to "I hate the government", its amazing to me that he can keep the anger tone in his music and still keep his music relevant. The song "Capital G" is f***ing awesome, i cant stop listening to it, it is quite a shot at George Bush. Im really excited about the rumored internet album that is supposed to be released in the next few weeks. Ghosts I-IV was really good, lots of ambient music and great background(read: videogame) music, but I heard the new release "Discipline" last week, and I am really stoked to hear a new non-instrumental album from NIN.
  18. QUOTE (almagest @ May 3, 2008 -> 11:26 AM) Marcum's actually a pretty good pitcher. I knew we'd have trouble this game. Not 0 runs, 2 hits trouble though. I agree he is a pretty good pitcher, with the potential to become a great pitcher. Last year he held the sox under down as well, IIRC The entire game came down to an error, unfortunately, because Buehrle pitched a pretty damn good game himself
  19. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ May 2, 2008 -> 11:50 PM) And finally you, the person who doesnt plan for the premier weekend and shows up exactly as the movie starts. Do not come to my row and ask that I move to your seat 3 rows in front of the large screen so my neck can be sore for a month, just so you and your girly and your friends can sit together. I came to the movie theater an hour and a half before the movie started so I can get my killer seats exactly where I wanted them. Sorry you didnt plan accordingly. And please because you are wearing a cubs hat, and I am wearing a sox hat do you think that I am poor, and that you can bribe me for 5 bucks. I probably pay more in taxes than you make in a year cub fan, so f*** off and get me my TPS reports asshole Im interested in exactly how you told Mr Cubs fan to f*** off
  20. QUOTE (knightni @ May 3, 2008 -> 08:21 AM) But that's the point. Walker is not skilled in the ability to teach in-depth when it comes to teaching the art of hitting. That's why the Sox should either get him that training, or let him go. This is the fourth season in the last five that, for the most part, the entire team goes into a slump hitting-wise and Walker appears to be flummoxed as to how to rectify the situation. Is it coincedence that the new arrival player seems to be least affected by the slump each year? 2004: Rowand 2005: Iguchi/Dye 2006: Thome 2007: Fields 2008: Quentin fixed, Dye was an Athletic in '04
  21. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 3, 2008 -> 01:36 AM) Good for you. For the rest of us, we have to wonder how we got 2 hits and mowed down AGAIN by just an average pitcher. You must not have seen opposing teams batting average against Marcum. This was no fluke.
  22. QUOTE (MAX @ May 2, 2008 -> 03:24 PM) Luckily I work for myself or else I'd be even more pissy. Well, if you work for someone else and get busted looking at Soxtalk when you werent supposed to because you got rickrolled, you wouldnt have anyone to blame but yourself.
  23. QUOTE (MAX @ May 2, 2008 -> 02:21 PM) I don't find s*** like that funny. I'm working. It f***s with my wallet. Soxtalk is hazardous for your career
  24. QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ May 2, 2008 -> 03:18 PM) Broadway has also had problems in Canada. ooooooh that was such a d*** move. I 100 percent support it
  25. QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ May 2, 2008 -> 02:13 PM) Why not Broadway? Wouldnt he lose a regularly scheduled start if he came up?
