  1. sounds like Harry telling Mac to kiss his sack on the air a few years back. That was quite a publicity stunt as well
  2. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Apr 9, 2008 -> 01:12 PM) As much as I don't want to care, what did he say? It was more the tone of his voice than anything. You could tell he was looking at his shoes when he said it, and he was mumbling This is from the chicagosports.com "The Bulls are mathematically eliminated" article
  3. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 9, 2008 -> 05:51 PM) Just curious... how would one "style" a long chin beard anyway? Tie it pretty little braids? Maybe sme cornrows? Dye it fire engine red? I would love it if boone made one fat braid and let it grow
  4. both of your kids are absolutely adorable. Chaos, i assume you are prepared for trouble in the teen years like I am? My daughter just lost her two front teeth so she wont let me take her picture.
  5. Tito looking to maintain the streak Its all on you Tito, Im counting on you
  6. Maybe Stone just jazzed up the script of that show on comedy central that made fun of the Bush's, and turned it into a movie
  7. oH DARN, the Bulls are now officially out of the playoffs after losing to the Dwayne wade-less, Shaq-less, Shawn Marion-less, Blake Ahearn led Heat. If anyone heard kirk hinrichs comments after the game, the guy has to go. I always had his back, but I have NEVER seen a player give up as much as he has and act like its no big deal. Chicago just aint his type of town
  8. I would like to make one clarifying statement about my feelings regarding Crede, and then I truly am done with this thread until after the World Series. I like Joe Crede as a third baseman for the White Sox, I have supported him through thick and thin(and there has been plenty of thin). I just see Boras as a huge obstacle in the way of Joe staying with the White Sox, and I understand that Boras wants to maximize his value, especially considering his back issues. I also like Josh Fields, and I think he will be a fine player for the Sox as well, but they are currently putting him and themselves in a tough position regarding his MLB future(ie. they are stunting his growth). The season is long, and a lot of things can happen. I just want the Sox to be successful, that is all.
  9. QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 8, 2008 -> 09:33 AM) They should just let the AGE OF ORTON dominate until WrestleMania next year. Yes, I need another whole year of angry looks and bad mic work. What they should do is let Batista and Orton fight until one of them cannot work the mic anymore. Last man talking wins
  10. QUOTE (Good Guys @ Apr 8, 2008 -> 10:11 AM) First time poster here. This site is great by way. I have seen a couple things that have got me very excited. First off the game against Verlander. While sitting there watching that game there was not one time I really felt the Sox were in danger of losing. Just a much different attitude from last year when there seemed to be no fight. The second thing is the aggressive style of play that we've seen. The Sox are going right at these other teams. That throw from Quentin to nail Renteria.... I can't remember the last time I saw a White Sox player make a play like that. For me it has been more than an encouraging start to the season. What a fun team to watch so far. Hope they can keep it up. Go Sox. Welcome!
  11. QUOTE (juddling @ Apr 8, 2008 -> 09:56 AM) gee...WWE setting up a pay-per-view headlining match with Cena/Orton/HHH/JBL ....wow...wonder how long it took them to come up with that one...lol As soon as the triple threat was confirmed and John Cena's music hit, I turned RAW off. Too many people fueding for the same thing, its getting ridiculous. Personally I am looking forward to seeing Khali and the SHow throw down finally. I want to see if there can actually be a worthwhile match to watch with Khali, and the Show is probably the only one who can work with him.
  12. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Apr 8, 2008 -> 06:31 AM) Nobody else that I can remember helped bring a championsihp here, so as far as I'm concerned, Ozzie can do whatever the hell he wants. Even Mike Ditka got fired.....
  13. I was thinking the other day that it would be interesting to have a situation where a poster would pick a team and pay attention to it throughout the entire year, and pick apart the moves that each manager made during the game. We could have a drawing where you are assigned a team, and maybe rotate the team from poster to poster so you wouldnt get stuck watching the same team all year. Would any other manager make as many mind boggling moves as Ozzie is percieved to? I dont know, i definitely think it would be interesting to see if the grass really is greener on the other side of the fence
  14. Dont know if this has been posted yet: http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...1,441497.column
  15. QUOTE (The Beast @ Apr 7, 2008 -> 10:55 PM) You're so funny! I mean it, he he he! It was a great night without the use of alcohol, that's just me being myself, and having some kick ass dance moves that allow adrenaline to flow and do something other than pathetic grinding---it also makes for laughs. People that drink= pathetic grinders People that dont= great dancers gotcha
  16. QUOTE (sox-r-us @ Apr 7, 2008 -> 05:49 PM) Maybe some people here need to learn to not over-react in off seasons and stop throwing things at other people's faces then? Just a thought that makes sense. It would be nice if fans treated all players with respect, and that includes someone like Crede who was injured last year. you know what, you are one to talk. You have bumped the "the Joke that is the White sox" thread multiple times and you have been baiting people for the last week. Thats exactly what I am talking about what is wrong with this thread. And if Crede starts slumping, the rhetoric will be the exact opposite and get the exact same thing accomplished, which is nothing. im done with this thread
  17. I think these threads are meant to start fights. Enjoy the success, why throw it in someones face? Lets have this discussion after the World Series
  18. QUOTE(daa84 @ Apr 7, 2008 -> 03:15 PM) cuddyer is on the DL which is why i didnt include him in the first list
  19. QUOTE(daa84 @ Apr 7, 2008 -> 03:13 PM) mauer isnt... he has the potential. Cuddyer isnt swinging a weak stick either
  20. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Apr 7, 2008 -> 03:11 PM) One day Hawk and DJ will realize that there is a reason this "good, fundenmental, Twins style" hasn't won in the playoffs this decade but for one series, and that is that they do it because they have no power hitters. I'll take the 3 run home run thank you. Morneau, Mauer and Young arent power hitters? I beg to differ
  21. QUOTE(The Beast @ Apr 7, 2008 -> 09:12 AM) I'll be watching sitting in my dorm, counting the days of college down till I can come home May 1st. good lord you make college sound like punishment
  22. I will be in later in the game guys, I get out of work at 4:30.
  23. QUOTE(The Critic @ Apr 7, 2008 -> 12:43 AM) Interested in watching this story unfold: [courtesy Lords of Pain] The Fox affiliate out of Atlanta has a story tonight on a man who discovered drugs in a Locust Grove, Georgia home he recently purchased from an unidentified past or present WWE wrestler. Soon after the person moved in, he discovered two small shoe boxes in a crawl space in the wall of the attic filled with several bottles of steroids & Growth Hormone, as well as several personal documents & unopened syringes. He also found a copy of the wrestler's WWE contract, not to mention a memo from 2004 regarding changes to the dress code. Henry County Police have asked the Fox affiliate to not name the wrestler at this time because they want to talk with him first. Investigators believe the wrestler is staying with relatives in another state. WWE Director of Publicity Kevin Hennesy told the Fox affiliate that it is not illegal for their wrestlers to take steroids. "Wrestlers can only be prescribed steroids by a physician which is rare and only for a specific medical condition and it is usually taken orally," Hennesy said. "If a wrestler is injecting steroids for performance enhancement purposes that would be a matter for local law enforcement." benoit was in the Atlanta area, wasnt he? I wonder who were his neighbors.....
