QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 18, 2008 -> 09:34 PM) Why the hell did Lucas take his helmet off when trying to make that catch????? I have no fu**ing idea. And the entire school applauds him for catching the ball and fumbling it away to their rival. It makes no sense whatsover

I was flipping through channels after the game tonite and I started to watch the movie "Lucas" for the first time since I was in high school. Quite the cast, I didnt realize when i was watching when I was younger. Wynona Ryder, Jeremy Piven, Charlie Sheen, Corey Haim, Courtney Thorne Smith. Sometimes I just love watching 80's movies

QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ Apr 18, 2008 -> 09:27 PM) Don't drunk talk about me Kyyle!! I could never do such a thing, now that would be hypoctttyrictal. Holy crap, Im not even going too use the backspa ce button because then it wouldnyt be guneune. Oh boty. Drunk typing is awesome
  5. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 18, 2008 -> 11:38 AM) Just 7 days into his Major League service. What an odd, odd deal. I really don't get it from Longoria's standpoint, but it's a steal for the Rays, unless, of course, he sucks... but he should be having quite the career. link Well, they definitely avoid arbitration for a while
  6. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 18, 2008 -> 09:00 AM) typos really get jumped on on this board eh? yes, 9-6. Obviously. All in good fun, dont take it series-ly
  7. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 18, 2008 -> 08:08 AM) They've been oustanding thus far. You aren't going to hold every lead all season long. Yeah, 10-5 looks way better than 9-4, but we're still in first place, and the SP is looking quite solid. 9-6

    i am drunk

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 18, 2008 -> 01:37 AM) I'm such a dumbass. This doesnt only apply in the "I am drunk" thread
  9. QUOTE (Pants Rowland @ Apr 17, 2008 -> 09:34 AM) Not sure that is going to do it for the O's. It is encouraging to see someone turn a Floyd trade idea down, though. Weeks back, many were willing to trade him for a bucket of balls. I like Floyd, and I have no problem giving him a chance to succeed or fail.
  10. QUOTE (Pants Rowland @ Apr 17, 2008 -> 09:14 AM) So, trade Floyd, Uribe and cash for Roberts after the game? No, yes and yes
  11. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 17, 2008 -> 05:46 AM) Brian Roberts being the only attainable 2B of those two. He would add a ridiculous offensive oomph to the lineup. He has a high OBP and can take the extra base and steal some as well. He would effectively move Quentin and Crede down in the order and make them our two weakest hitters, which is ridiculous. And move Swisher to a more effective spot in the lineup for his talents.
  12. Which is worse, a celebrity who says something completely loony and stands by it, or a celebrity who says something completely loony then turns around because of the backlash and claims they were misquoted?

QUOTE (TheBlackSox8 @ Apr 15, 2008 -> 10:00 PM) donnie darko was quality southland tales is complete trash (and i do get what the movie was about and what the interpretations were) Did you get to see the directors cut?
  14. It was pretty interesting that 95-98 percent of students avoided stepping on the flags.
  15. The thing about Cougar attacks is that you never see them coming. Cougars are stalkers, they prefer ambush attacks more than a chase, ambushes have a much higher success rate and cougars just arent built for long distance speed, which their primary prey are built for. If you SEE a cougar and feel it is dangerous, then yeah those are very helpful suggestions. however, most of the time people are attacked, they don't know what hit them until they are on the ground with a 150-200 lb Cougar digging its teeth into the back of their neck.
  16. I think the strangest thing about this whole deal is the picture of the cougar meandering around with people walking literally feet away from him. And the lady who spotted him/her said it was sleeping next to her porch. So it obviously seemed at some sort of ease in its surroundings until it was killed. It just amazes me that the cougar could get that far into Chicago and it isnt seen until it is already there. Maybe we need cougars in the alleys to take care of the strays Here is the picture of the cougar walking around And there is also a story about a possibility of a second cougar in the area, they were looking for it today
  17. QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Apr 16, 2008 -> 03:51 PM) i need to write a topic on the pros and cons of a sports topic...anyone have any good ideas. I want a good thinking outside the box topic. The Pros and Cons of extending/raising the age limit for the NBA draft GO
  18. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Apr 16, 2008 -> 02:14 PM) Maybe because he is the only player in the league who can injure himself doing a stupid hop when catching the ball? or because the only thing he does well defensively is throw the ball. His reads and angles are atrocious, he is afraid of the wall, if he thinks it is past him he doesnt sprint all out for the ball. to think last year that the Cubs REALLY wanted him to play center is laughable
  19. At the time it was the right decision, IMO. Frank wasnt healthy for 3 straight years, and it cost the Sox every year. Its great to see him succeed now, but the Sox counted on Frank to be healthy and he couldnt keep his foot in one piece.
