QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Jan 3, 2008 -> 12:38 PM) LOL! Yeah, well our full library so far is: Zach And Kody High School Musical Hannah Montana Narnia POTC: Dead Mans Chest Pet Vet Purr N Pals Nintendogs Dogz Club House Games Zelda: Phantom Hourglass Hotel Dusk My daughter (10) has had hers since August. My son (5) and I just got ours. p.s. and I want Hamsterz for myself. Abby has Hannah Montana too, I forgot about that one. How is that Pet Vet game? Abby really wants it, but I am afraid it may be a little ahead of where she is right now, so i told her we would hold off until the summer to check that out(there is like 2 or 3 different animal vet titles for the DS) Personally, I really want to get Drawn to life

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Jan 3, 2008 -> 11:58 AM) I haven't played that one. I just got the DS the other day. I bought Club House Games (seemed fun and I knew the wife would love it, and she does), Hotel Dusk, and am playing my sons Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. I've decided I enjoy the gaming aspect as long as they are the puzzle type games. My daughter has a decent amount of games. I'll be stealing her Nintendogs soon. So far our little DS library has Horsez Hamsterz Charlottes Web Arthur and the Invisibles Yoshi's island Flash Focus Cookies and Cream Keep in mind I have a 7 year old little girl

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Jan 3, 2008 -> 10:25 AM) Yup. There is also a sequel now, which I have not played yet. The sequel is geared more towards multiple players, where Rabbids part 1 is mainly a one person game. I haven't played the DS version, but we bought it for a neice a little while ago and I guess she really likes it. I'm tempted to get it for my DS, but I think I want most games that are available for both DS and Wii for the Wii. I like my DS as a puzzle game mostly. I am addicted to Yoshi's Island on the DS

QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Jan 3, 2008 -> 09:24 AM) I coulda sworn I've seen that very picture years ago, or at least one just like it. you did. That picture is almost 3 years old now, but it is authentic http://www.snopes.com/photos/animals/sharkkayak.asp

That would FREAK me out, no matter how cool of a scientific moment it was. If that shark decided to be more than inquisitive, there wouldnt be time to intervene.

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Jan 3, 2008 -> 07:38 AM) Raving Rabbids. GREAT stuff. Is that the Rayman game? I was looking at it but decided against renting it. My daughter also wants to play it on her DS.

QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Jan 3, 2008 -> 02:53 AM) All joking aside, what happened to SIU?? I dont get it. The way I look at it is this: Ever since the first SIU run to the sweet 16 with Bruce Weber, SIU has had excellent senior leadership passed from year to year. Kent Williams and Jermaine Dearman passed along to Brad Korn and Sylvester Willis passed along to Darren Brooks and Stetson Hairston passed along to Jamaal Tatum and Tony Young. Randal Falker and Matt Shaw have simply not shown up at all this year and it is painfully evident in every facet of the game. There is really no other explanation for me, the young guys on the team are going to make mistakes because that stuff happens. Shaw was on the bench last night with 3 minutes left in the first half with 3 fouls and no points, Falker was shortly behind him on the bench with fouls and ineffectiveness. That is just inexcuseable from either of them. Its a really hard season to follow right now, just chaotic and unpredictable. -
QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Jan 2, 2008 -> 04:57 PM) Tony Dungy was classless when he had a chance to call a timeout and get his team the ball back so they could try to win the game and get the Browns in the playoffs, but he didn't. It probably wouldn't have mattered, but I lost a lot of respect for him after that. Tony Dungy needs to worry about one team making the playoffs, thats the Indianapolis Colts. Why should he care about the Browns making the playoffs?

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jan 2, 2008 -> 02:48 PM) Nothing says class like calling the most accurate kicker in NFL history who made a ton of big kicks for your team a "drunken idiot" on national television. Well, I dont know that I would say anything different after Vanderjagt calls out the coach and QB. Vanderjagt himself has missed a few too many playoff game-winnign field goals to be calling out Peyton Manning

QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Jan 2, 2008 -> 01:19 PM) I am only saying, everybody (and every organization in the history of man) has their embarrassments. This I completely agree with. Every NFL team has had their share of "skeletons in the closet"

You are going to hold the midnight move against the colts now, 23 years later? Is anyone involved in that move still with the organization, or better yet still alive?

QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Jan 2, 2008 -> 11:32 AM) ESPN does move to LA very soon, they have to start revving up the West Coast hype machine. really? I didnt know that, so are they setting up something like an ESPN headquarters West? -
QUOTE(The Critic @ Jan 2, 2008 -> 07:55 AM) Wouldn't Alberta be their version of Texas? I dont know, I just looked on the map of Canada and picked the southern-most territory But now that I think about it, it would probably be Quebec considering that they continue to try and secede from Canada

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jan 1, 2008 -> 11:51 PM) Anyone ever been to Montreal? I'm going up there to see the Hawks play in a week, staying only a couple of days. Anyways, I want to go to the casino there, the big 'Casino de Montreal'. Of course I want to make a trip there but when checking their website I didn't see anything about Texas Hold'em (the game I'd be playing there). I thought a hold'em area was pretty standard to most casinos -- I'd be pretty dissappointed to go there and find out they don't have any hold'em tables... Those snooty Canadians call it Ontario Hold-em, thats why you cannot find it

QUOTE(shipps @ Dec 27, 2007 -> 09:18 AM) No doubt about it, that show is hilarious. It just drives me crazy that they cant even prop his house up a little bit.Is the budget that small for the show?Imagine that house being on Cribs it would be a joke. the funny thing is that they have a nintendo wii in every room, so i guess nintendo is getting a nice plug

I blame the team bigtime. they played with no fire, no passion, looked like they dont care. Complete 180 from the previous 3 years.

QUOTE(Middle Buffalo @ Dec 23, 2007 -> 12:40 AM) Well, for starters, a Wii is twice as expensive. But, really, I don't know too much about modern video games (haven't played at all since Sega NHL '94 - in 1994). I just want to know if the games on the Wii are going to be too complicated for an 8,6 and 4 year old. I know my son has played PS2, but not Wii. Sounds like something he can handle. I'll be quite the hero if I get it for him. I hear Santa will get the credit, though. Thanks to all for the input. What games would you recommend for starters on the Wii? You can just go ahead and download all of the old nintendo and sega games you played when you were a kid and let your son play them on wii. They have the catalogs for NES, SNES, N64, Neo Geo, Sega, Sega Genesis, and Turbo Graphix that they are gradually releasing for download(for a small fee of course) on the Wii channel. As for the complication of the system, the entire Wii was designed to let kids play adults on a level playing field. Its really fun, you should check it out. If you are looking at prices though, stick with the PS2.

there are so many movies that I want to see this year. The Dark Knight, Wall-E, Iron Man, Hellboy 2. I know there is more that I am forgetting, but those movies are at the forefront for me.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Dec 20, 2007 -> 03:15 PM) Say what you will about his level of play or his contract.... but I dont consider Nocioni a dirty player at all. He is just not a sissy boy that runs away from people... I never knew that taking a charge from guys bigger than you now made you dirty. Plus most NBA players play dirty to a degree. Jordans famous last shot(with the bulls of course) was a pushoff, as well as his shot over Craig Ehlo against Cleveland. Shaq just bullies people over, Rodman used to grab people if he was trying for a rebound and make it look like they were pushing off when it was the opposite, Kobe likes to flat out punch people in the face(Mike Bibby) or flail his arms around after a shot and poke people in the eye(the entire NBA). I like Nocioni's hustle, I dont think he plays more dirty than the rest of the NBA, I just dont like that he feels the need to shoot every time he touches the ball. When he is hot, feed him the ball. But when he is cold, dear lord, dont let him touch it or its a 3 point shot with half the team running to catch up on the floor and no one under the basket.
