QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jul 30, 2007 -> 09:38 AM) If ANY year is the Bears' year, this is it. You didn't even mention Greg Olsen! Thats because i was talking about the defense.

QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Jul 29, 2007 -> 03:42 PM) Some indy jobbers are complaining that LAX is "unprofessional". http://web.charleston.net/news/2007/jul/29...ures_mack11694/ My favorite part is the jobber team complaining that they like to work stiff with other workers all the time but then complained when they got stiffed by Homicide and Hernandez who gave them a purple welt and a stiff Border Toss. If this isn't the first time the guy has had a collapsed lung, then perhaps he should think about not taking dangerous bumps or being a stiff wrestler who then complains when he gets stiffed back. The article does a great job defaming LAX. But I wonder if LAX knew that these two guys were going to try to stiff them in the ring or not in advance. I can see it being surprising and getting stiffed can cause people to get pissed off (see Saturn vs Jobber where he legit kicks the s*** out of him and throws him outside of the ring landing on his neck). And who is to say the guy just didn't take the move properly? Why blame Hernandez if the other guy can't take the elevated bump properly? But it was a bit asshole-ish for Hernandez to not check up on them after the match. Is there a video of this somewhere?

So much for a problem at DT this year, eh? This defense is gonna be sick. Our SB starting safeties are now backups to Archuleta and Brown, we locked up our pro bowl caliber corners, Gave Alex Brown the motivation he needs to maintain a starting job(if he is better than Mark Anderson, he needs to show it or shut up, thats all there is too it), kept Briggs around for one more year. Angelo is the man.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 29, 2007 -> 11:28 PM) So i saw that there Simpsons Movie today. Can I please have that 77 minutes back? They didn't even make an attempt to put together an entertaining storyline. No, you cant have it back. You b**ch about the show all the time, it serves you right for going to see the movie.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jul 29, 2007 -> 05:02 PM) Thats funny, I said the same thing around the 5th. Not only was Kong out of the lineup, but I made sure to look for him in the dugout, and didn't see him once, and I also thought he might hit for Mack in the 8th. Rongey said it was a planned day off, but a Friday AND Sunday off? Little interesting... Ozzie said it on Friday and Rongey reported it on his pre-game show then as well.

Eddy Curry's house robbed in Chicago

QUOTE(MurcieOne @ Jul 29, 2007 -> 05:46 PM) i was thinking the same thing...... seems like too much of a coincidence. if i was an athlete living in the area id be careful. The situations are very similar. Home invasion, subdued and tied up by a few guys with guns, jewelry and cash stolen, and they are outta there. -
QUOTE(Shadows @ Jul 28, 2007 -> 08:18 PM) No, I still think Michael Keaton was the best.. And im just giving Kalapse s*** about Bale And im just giving you s*** My opinion of Bale is that he is fitting the role of a young and learning Batman perfectly. Cocky, angry, raw, as realistic as possible given the idea of the Bruce Wayne/Batman character. I have a friend that doesnt like him as Batman because he has a slight lisp (probably from covering up his accent), but I really really enjoyed everything he brought to Batman begins.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 29, 2007 -> 10:55 AM) Because he was here so long, right? I think I saw a little focus against Houston last year.

QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Jul 29, 2007 -> 10:53 AM) Can someone explain to me why Fields isn't playing? Anyone? Sorry my friend, Sunday lineups offer no rhyme or reason

QUOTE(Alpha Dog @ Jul 29, 2007 -> 10:22 AM) If that would have been AJ it would have started an international incident. Im surprised that the opposing team never went back on the field to at least tag the guy out. They just let him trot around the bases

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jul 28, 2007 -> 08:48 PM) My sarcasm didn't quite come through, I'm guessing. I didnt think green font was necessary. I would think something was seriously wrong with Buehrle if he was naming his kid after Braden Looper and David Eckstein

Eddy Curry's house robbed in Chicago
Kyyle23 replied to rangercal's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
I think this was the same guys who robbed Antoine Walker. -
another nice turn from Richar to Uribe. Richar hit Uribe in stride to second base
-
Im intrigued about this Steve Stone and Hawk Harrelson pairing. Im wondering how Stone will react to Hawks meandering mind during a game

QUOTE(iamshack @ Jul 28, 2007 -> 07:04 PM) Well, one thing that people aren't mentioning....Scottie sees a bouncing ball up the middle and is running hard because he wants to score on a base hit. Razor Shines doesn't exactly put up the stop sign early, and McDonald just alertly throws it over to third immediately. It was just an outstanding play by McDonald, even Glaus was shocked to have the ball thrown over. It wasn't Scottie's fault. If anyone, I blame Shines, although it was more a very heads up play by McDonald than anyone's fault. I agree, Shines must have fallen asleep to let him go that far from the base. But the rundown part is what pisses me off. Pods is fast, he can steal some bases, he should be able to at least give a little chase there. He just stopped

QUOTE(3E8 @ Jul 28, 2007 -> 07:01 PM) Nice turn Danny. Damn that is a massive whitehead on his lip He must be nervous
-
QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ Jul 28, 2007 -> 06:59 PM) Anyone mind explaining what happened? Pods on second, Uribe on first. Richar hit it up the middle, the SS John MacDonald dove and stopped it, and threw it to third because Pods took a wide turn, they had Pods in a rundown and he just stopped and let Glaus tag him without one rundown throw. edit: damn i type slow.

QUOTE(Brian @ Jul 28, 2007 -> 06:58 PM) Wasn't paying attention. Glanced at TV and thought that was Owens batting. Similar stances. except not even close. Owens has a way more wide open stance than Richar
-
Richar didnt look totally lost, and he swings with a mean purpose And Pods is the worst at a rundown situation i have ever seen. With two outs, at least make them chase you around a little bit
-
there is some severe shadows on that field right now, I didnt see the ball fields caught and i didnt see the ball Uribe caught either

QUOTE(Shadows @ Jul 27, 2007 -> 10:45 PM) Bale is the worst Batman Like you, I found George Clooney to be the best.

QUOTE(beautox @ Jul 28, 2007 -> 06:01 PM) The Rays just traded Ty Wigginton to Houston for Dan Wheeler the Devil Rays are making a move for the stretch run. This is huge

QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jul 28, 2007 -> 04:43 PM) Dude, that's just it... he's already made moves for BP... he's moved the pieces you move for bullpen, and got a bunch of castoff bulls***. You just don't trade for middle relief, plain and simple. You want prospects? Get a starter... worst case scenario he works out in the bullpen. I know its funny to think back to a philosophy that Kenny has been burned on before, but you "just don't trade for relievers" despite what level they are on. Do you draft a reliever? Royce Ring anyone? Do you trade for a reliever? Billy Koch anyone? I'm just incredibly against making moves for relievers, or wasting scout time looking at them. So you are saying that relievers should come strictly from your own farm system and that they should only be starters that flopped? And Royce Ring and Billy Koch are the great examples of why this is true? Wow

I think its gonna be interesting. Supposedly the entire film was shot on handheld videocameras, and its supposed to be Godzilla meets War of the Worlds. Im a sucker for that type of stuff, so I will probably like it
