  1. Last night was without a doubt one of the craziest and best FotC yet. Jemaine as Ziggy Stardust David Bowie, 70's Bowie, and 80's Labrynth David Bowie had me laughing my ass off, especially when he would fly out of the room. Mel and Murrays characters get better every week, if I had any complaint about anything it would be that Dave isnt a bigger part of the show, but I am sure that he will be soon enough. I cannot get enough of these guys, I read some review of the show that called them the modern-day Monkees, and I have totally bought into that.

    Films Thread

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 16, 2007 -> 10:31 PM) Whether you have a question about a movie or if you just saw a movie and want to comment on it, this is the thread for you. I will start if off by saying I saw American Psycho last night and all I can say is what a strange strange movie. I also caught Harry Potter this week and must say that as a whole I was a bit disappointed. The movie wasn't near as good as its predecessors and it appeared to be much more of a set up for the next movie (in the sense that there really wasn't' much action while all the other movies had a lot of action packed/exciting moments). What did you think of it?(besides it being strange, of course) Its the movie that made Christian Bale for me
  4. QUOTE(joesaiditstrue @ Jul 21, 2007 -> 03:47 PM) ahh, the unnecessary sarcastic response, thanks for your insight maybe he didnt think your assessment of Danks was necassary? (or correct)
  5. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jul 21, 2007 -> 03:15 PM) 1-0 Sox on an RBI double by Fields scoring Konerko. thankya

  7. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...-home-headlines Donaghy is always involved in games that have strange circumstances and outcomes
  8. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 21, 2007 -> 12:07 PM) I saw Stephanie on tv a couple of years ago, and I told my friends that she ended up being the best looking one of the daughters from Full House. Nobody believed me, especially since she was the worst during the run of the show. Now you all see. She may be the best looking one, but Candace Cameron isnt too bad herself http://www.celebopedia.com/candace-cameron...ace-cameron.jpg
  9. Yeah, she went and got smokin hot
  10. The Score is reporting a rumor going around, The NFLPA, NFL, and the Atlanta Falcons are going to ask Vick to take a years paid leave of absence. I hope they put some sort of clause that says that his pay will be revoked immediately if he is convicted http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2943276
  11. To me, contreras looks like he is pitching knowing that he is being traded. he has that "deer in headlights" look that he lost in the second half of 05 and first half of 06.
  12. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 20, 2007 -> 07:26 PM) Correct, he had a great game that day and was having a GIGANTIC year at triple a. BTW, in his first game with the big club the other day, he scored the winning run in the 10th inning for the Tigers at Minnesota. The legend grows. I can understand the big year at triple A(well, I really cant. But im not gonna argue it). But MVP of the triple A all star game? thats the part that blows me away
  13. Man, Mackowiak and Owens are hot at the plate now(despite Mack striking out a second ago). And the Sox are about to replace them with China doll #1 and China doll #2. That kinda sucks
  14. QUOTE(PoopsThompson @ Jul 20, 2007 -> 07:22 PM) You like us, you REALLY like us! I wouldnt go that far
  15. QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ Jul 20, 2007 -> 02:14 PM) Sandman/Carlito in a Singapore Cane Match added to the GAB. To me, Sandman looks like a thug you would see in a movie like "Snatch" or "Lock, stock and Two Smoking Barrels" One of those mean looking cusses, Jason Statham/Vinnie Jones type
  16. Im adding everyone i see to my friends list. I have no idea what it means, mind you, but Im doing it anyways. The new features of the site are awesome, i really like the White Sox logo on the reply buttons. Oh yeah, on to the game. thome's shot was quite feat, he looked like he barely swung on the outset
  17. Joey has been pulling that stuff for years, he is known for being a hothead. Its strange to me that this would come to light, after one of the more senior refs in the league is absent from the playoff crew. Im probably connecting dots that arent there, but its a thought
  18. Wasnt Joey Crawford mysteriously taken off the playoffs ref crew this year?
  19. In particular I always thought the Sacto-Lakers game was fixed that went into overtime where Mike Bibby was basically punched in the face by Kobe to get the ball back, and no foul was called. It was pretty hard to watch the rest of the game(which was over shortly thereafter).
  20. this whole case is going to show many people what kind of a commish Goodell really is.
  21. QUOTE(Shadows @ Jul 20, 2007 -> 01:56 AM) I hope he does go to jail.. I despise pitbulls, however I think its horrible to do what it says they did to animals.. I love my dog so much, if someone had a gun to my dogs head and a gun to any of your heads and told me I had to choose one to live I would pick my dog everytime.. Thats like the thing that really bothers me, cruelty to animals. I don't see how anyone could do any of that stuff.. strangling and electrocuting them, thats just disgusting. to a guy wanting to make money by watching his dog murder another dog slowly(or the other way around), strangling and electrocuting is probably no big deal. It blows my mind that people can think that way about any animal, wanting to watch it attack another animal and kill it.
  22. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jul 19, 2007 -> 04:51 PM) MINNEAPOLIS -- Detroit Tigers left fielder Marcus Thames was placed on the 15-day disabled list Thursday, a day after he pulled his left hamstring on a diving catch in a 3-2 win over Minnesota. Outfielder Timo Perez's contract was purchased from Triple-A Toledo, and he was in the lineup batting seventh and playing left field in place of Thames against the Twins on Thursday afternoon. The 32-year-old Perez was MVP of the Triple-A All-Star game last week. He signed a minor-league deal with Detroit this winter after appearing in 23 games last year for St. Louis. He played in parts of four seasons for the New York Mets and spent the next two years with the Chicago White Sox. Thames, who is hitting .252 with 11 home runs and 32 RBIs in 155 at-bats, ended the eighth inning Wednesday night with a running shoestring catch of Joe Mauer's line drive. He rolled around in the turf in pain and limped off the field. WTF???
  23. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Jul 20, 2007 -> 02:50 AM) "The world is very different ever since the robotic uprising of the mid 90's." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbqnY0XAzdQ...ted&search= Due to this thread's presence on Soxtalk I decided to watch the first episode on OnDemand and was pleasantly surprised. Especially with the "Humans Are Dead" video. I'll have to catch up with the remaining episodes. I love the videos that they are making for thier songs, but IMO the live versions of all of their songs are 10X funnier. Check out "Hiphopopotomous vs Rhymenocerous", "Jenny", "Business Time", and "The Humans are dead" in the live versions of the songs. www.hbo.com/conchords has a few of the episodes available, and all of their music videos.
  24. QUOTE(shoota @ Jul 20, 2007 -> 01:04 AM) IMO, Frank lost the chance to become a Sox great when he refused to participate in the spring training shuttle run. LOL, what the heck would that have to do with him being a Sox great?
  25. Paul is really on a tear, and AJ has turned it up a notch too
