  1. QUOTE(Shadows @ Aug 5, 2007 -> 12:23 AM) Would tend to make sense, I was unaware of your current age at the time of my comments that makes two of us, i thought brian was still in school
  2. QUOTE(Shadows @ Aug 4, 2007 -> 08:30 PM) man, what happened to you.. you use to be cool I love dumb girls LOL, you would think that would be his preference until he at least graduated. Especially at SIU
  3. QUOTE(AirScott @ Aug 4, 2007 -> 08:39 PM) More homers and RBIs and a better slugging percentage for Hawk. He finished third in MVP voting, six spots ahead of Yaz. Yeah, the slugging percentage is a little bit higher, but Yaz had more hits, a better average, more doubles, SB, Walks, and OBP. Its a good debate, even though Hawk has the trump card with the MVP votes
  4. Hawk just said he was obsessed with having a better year than Yastremski in 1968, and then said he did have a better year. What do you think? http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/BOS/1968.shtml
  5. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 4, 2007 -> 08:24 PM) Eggy just gave up three runs, including a triple to Cunningham. Statue decommissioned
  6. QUOTE(SoxFan77 @ Aug 4, 2007 -> 08:19 PM) Also enter random pitcher most never heard of... Owning him I actually respect the fact that Hawk hardly glorifies himself when it comes to facing pitchers. He will talk about how he had a good year and this and that, but i rarely hear him say anything to put down pitchers he faced.
  7. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Aug 4, 2007 -> 08:11 PM) I wouldn't say she is a dog, but she isn't "stunning". Looks like a cross between Jewel and Lita Ford actually. I thought she looked like a young Kelly Lynch
  8. Jermaine looks like he did last year. His bat is really quick right now
  9. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 4, 2007 -> 08:03 PM) Egbert update: 2 IP, H, 3 K Jerry will commission the statue
  10. QUOTE(AirScott @ Aug 4, 2007 -> 07:54 PM) Am I still the only one who noticed this? I didnt really see the feint. He flipped the ball really quick and his momentum was taking him forward, thats all i saw
  11. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 4, 2007 -> 07:52 PM) Moose sounds exactly like Grandpa Munster. Hmmm, I have him more pegged as sounding like Peter Falk
  12. From everything I have read on this board, I am very pleasantly surprised with Richars defense, especially turning the DP. Im waiting for the other shoe to drop
  13. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 4, 2007 -> 07:33 PM) Someone needs to choke the opera guy hot dog salesman. opera hot dog guy = Ronnie Woo Woo + teeth + lbs - crack
  14. QUOTE(forrestg @ Aug 4, 2007 -> 05:13 PM) sorry Kyle I met if he figured out how to get to Contreras.. I figured as much after reading it again, but I still had to ask
  15. QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ Aug 3, 2007 -> 07:31 PM) score six, give up six. book it. unbooked
  16. Miller is out of the game, not good for the Tiggers
  17. QUOTE(forrestg @ Aug 3, 2007 -> 03:59 PM) On Mlb home plate on xm they were interviewing some guy and he explained why some teams were scoring a lot of runs and teams like the white sox weren't. He said it was all about being patient at the plate. Teams that were scoring a lot of runs were more selective on pitches.. If you are not very good at hitting a ball in on your hands don't swing at it. A curve ball low and outside that you can't reach don't even try (Uribe) Yes, I believe it has a lot to do with the hitting coach. Every mlb team knows we are swinging for the fence every time. I think coop is not a God if he was he'd figure out el duque. eh?
  18. QUOTE(Soxy @ Aug 3, 2007 -> 03:39 PM) Yeah. But more snuggly than bulldogs I've met. One of the dogs was an english Bulldog.
  19. They can be used as a guard dog, just like any dog, depends on the training. But they are known to be very good tempered dogs. From the video on TMZ, they didnt look aggresive at all. The police were walking them out and they were just wagging their tails(except for one, which they had a muzzle on). CNN wrote something indicating they didnt know if the guy was dead before the dogs found him or not. It would be a shame if all 4 dogs were put down because of what one dog did.
  20. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Aug 3, 2007 -> 12:04 PM) I feel your pain. They have one dominant scorer on the perimiter, one in the mid-range, and one in the post. Y'all should be talking about that balance on the offensive end, but I ain't seen hamburgers. The Nuggets? That ain't balance; that's chaos. What's gonna hold the Celtics back from winning a championship? Team defense and bench depth. They have a potentially dominant perimiter defender in Tony Allen that most casual fans have never even heard of, and then you have Kendrick Perkins, whose shot-altering potential is immense (if he can lay off the cheeseburgers). However, most teams will be able to score at will against Ray Allen and Paul Pierce. Hell, I could score on those guys. What you have are major highs and lows; you got paint defense, which reigns supreme, but then you have some of the worst perimiter and mid-range D in the NBA, minus Tony Allen. I'd like to see a terrific on-the-ball defensive PG like Marcus Banks running the point, but Danny Ainge wouldn't really know anything about that. When the cards fall next year, where do you see Boston ending up? Top 8? Top 5? Top 3? I see them making the playoffs, but i just dont know if their bench depth(or lackthereof) will allow them to compete with teams who will consistently throw fresh bodies at them. And if any one of thier big three goes down, they will be in some serious trouble.
  21. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Aug 3, 2007 -> 09:13 AM) Here's USA Today's predictions for the season: http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/foo...oll-cover_N.htm Where is SIU in those rankings?
  22. Maybe I missed this a couple of months ago, but it is really interesting Jim Harbaugh talks s**t about Michigan, loses friends
  23. QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ Aug 3, 2007 -> 12:53 AM) I've seen Michelle without makeup in one of those candid photos before. One of the few that can pull it off. Apparently the Batista/Khali matches they've been running at house shows have SUCKED. So much that they've gone to having Finlay interfere in the matches to then setup Batista/Kane vs. Khali/Finlay. How they expect for these 2 to put on a match at summerslam is beyond me. If you expect Batista to be able to carry a match, you are gonna get burned every time. Khali needs someone to carry his matches, he is just too stiff and horrible in the ring, and batista isnt gonna do that. Hopefully vince lets Khali take his schtick elsewhere soon, the crowd yeller needs to go.
