  1. QUOTE(Brian @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 09:14 PM) He has no idea what he is getting into. Orton is gonna lock in a reverse chinlock so tight, Dusty will pas out! yes, its gonna be another long and drawn out yawnfest watching Orton beat up on a guy who used to wrestle with his father(and grandfather). But i am sure it will have a Kody run-in and Orton RKO of Kody and Dusty
  2. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 09:46 PM) I'm shocked that Bora$ was so positive about Crede. Why? he has to build up his guy for his impending free agency status. (yes, I know he is a FA after 2008)
  3. LOL at Kenny Mayne! Chris Berman "Hey Kenny, are you wearing a flak jacket out there? The balls can come scorching out there" Kenny Mayne "I didnt hear anything you said, but everytime they hit a homerun, I am gonna blow this whistle" *blows whistle* LOL, he totally blew off Bermans bad joke
  4. Dusty Rhodes was awesome on the mic with Orton in the ring today. Kody Rhodes looks like he has taken a few shots to the face in the past couple weeks

QUOTE(Shadows @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 01:57 PM) reading blows, I cant see any logical reason why someone would rather read a book then watch a movie where they don't have to do any work at all but sit there and watch it.. I think its a complete joke that anyone can say books are better than movies, and no you super nerds the book is never scarier than the movie.. One day you should pick up a movie version and book version of something Stephen King has done. Anything. Carrie, Cujo, Dreamcatcher, The Dark Half, The Langoliers, Thinner, etc. Compare Stephen King writes some pretty terrifying stuff, and it never seems to translate to the big screen I didnt realize you were a super nerd if you read a book
  6. QUOTE(Shadows @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 12:42 PM) First off, Orton is the man Secondly, Mickie James.. eww She has never looked good, someone please tell WWE to get Stacy back asap We will never agree on anything, of this I am 100% positive
  7. QUOTE(MHizzle85 @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 10:20 AM) I think Brian & Shadows actually have it to where whenever the words "Orton" "Resthold" "RKO" "Legend" "Killer" are in the thread they're notified. lol, agreed And on a side note, I think that your avatar is great. Mickie James became really hot to me when she ditched the psycho character
  8. QUOTE(BearSox @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 09:18 AM) omg, when will she ever leave? the lady has lost pretty much everything important to her in her life because of her vendetta, what else does she have to do now but try and ruffle a few more feathers? This doesnt surprise me in the least QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 09:29 AM) Sure why not. I just keep seeing more and more reasons to get rid of this clown. Like this: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19675580/ this should be a good thread
  9. QUOTE(max power @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 07:22 AM) I am really surprised, honestly. I wouldn't put this site anywhere near the top. The posters here are great but the server is slow and there is no search function. I find it amazing that it would be in the top half for those reasons alone. I really do love this site, though, don't get me wrong. I feel like an ass even saying that LOL, an oxymoron post If I have ever seen one

QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 09:01 AM) Me too!!! Probably the best of the set. On another note: Speaking of rudeness in theatres, this dude behind us kept putting his feet on the chair next to my wife. Nothing like someones bare feet next to your head.(Well he had flip flops on) Anyway, She didn't say anything to me, she just kept giving him a look when he would do it, thinking he would stop. I didn't notice cause I was pretty engrossed in the movie. Towards the end I had my arm around her chair and felt him kick the chair a couple times. I was like whatever, maybe he was just adjusting his legs. Then it happened a third time and I turned around and saw he had his feet up next to her head. So I reached over and grabbed his ankle and threw it down and he looked at me all bewildered and I looked at him like wtf you ignorant ass. No words were spoken and that was that. Movie ended about 10 minutes later and when we got up I was going to tell him what my problem was if he asked, but he pretended like he was sleeping. that is beyond rude. He must have realized this and thus started to pretend to sleep so he wouldnt have to apologize for it. How old did you think he was?

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 08:27 AM) So they needed to make 900 movies for that? The kid has 900 lives, each one needs a movie
  12. QUOTE(Brian @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 08:10 AM) No, Orton will beat up a former heavyweight champion! LOL, you are an automatic response to the word "Orton"
  13. QUOTE(Steff @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 08:14 AM) Yes, I saw your following post, and I didn't mean to single you out since 98% of the board was being vile. Regardless, it was an ugly week and while it's good news depending on your perspective, I hope those who know what they did learn to think before they speak in the future. Haha, doubtful. Naysayers never learn

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 08:22 AM) Speaking of Harry Potter, I'm getting dragged to the new one when it comes out and I haven't seen the previous 900, so that should be fun. its not as bad as you think it will be. You may be a little lost in the storyline though, if you arent really brushed up on the books. Basically, a kid wizard with amazing powers has everyone trying to kill him while he is just trying to complete a semester at school
  15. QUOTE(Steff @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 08:02 AM) Me neither. Save for maybe 6 posters, everyone talked s*** last week. I was just teasing fathom, there was no malice intended. 2 posts about it, and I was done

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 02:46 AM) I think books are more personal in that you have to picture a lot of things for yourself. Sometimes people are dissapointed when things in a film don't match how they pictured them when they read the book and that causes them to say the book was better. By they way, watched 'Once' tonight. Good film, with very good music. It's probably 60% music, so it's basically a musical and you should be prepared for that going into it. theatre of the mind will always beat the AMC theatre.
  17. QUOTE(Shadows @ Jul 9, 2007 -> 02:26 AM) Another legend gets killed tomorrow as Orton will beat Dusty Rhodes with an RKO I will enjoy hearing "American Dream" though, but still, Orton better not get screwed More of Orton beating up on out of shape former stars?
  18. this is a great way to finish the first half of the season, with a good win over a team that has our number(and whooped our butts in the first two games) and signing Mark for 4 more years. Im going to hold on to a little optimism about the second half
  19. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 8, 2007 -> 03:47 PM) Ah, I see....even though I've been the one who's been telling people that the expected packages are unrealistic. no worries, im just teasing you
  20. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 8, 2007 -> 03:46 PM) Not quite sure why I'm being singled-out here. I've wanted them to sign him, but after what we read yesterday, it didn't seem like he was in the plans. I'm thrilled for reasons on and off the field, and it immediately makes our future for the next 5 years better. Just teasin, its a great day today and for once its good to be wrong about something. And Im not only talking about you, i thought he was gone too
  21. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 8, 2007 -> 03:44 PM) Huh? I figured you would go into convulsions after this happened, you had all of your prospects laid out and ready to join the organization
  22. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 8, 2007 -> 03:43 PM) I'M WRONG, I'M AN IDIOT, EVERYBODY MAKE FUN OF ME, I DON'T CARE!!! THANK GOD we kept Mark, this had to be done. That makes my f***ing week. Thanks for taking the discount, #56.
  23. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 8, 2007 -> 03:41 PM) That's just awesome!!!! Now trade Contreras, Dye, etc., and keep Buehrle, Garland, Vazquez, and Danks together. Thank you JR and Kenny....and Mrs. Buehrle and soon-to-be-born baby Buehrle. Ohh thank god
  24. Has anyone confirmed that fathom is ok since this has been announced? I repeat, has ANYONE SEEN FATHOM?!?!?

QUOTE(StrangeSox @ Jul 8, 2007 -> 09:50 AM) That movie was amazing. My favorite line was when that guy fell into the cooling tower's blades and Bruce Willis just says "Ohhh no!" Because that was exactly my reaction. Meh, it's sort of like my beef with King Kong. A movie about a gigantic ape isn't realistic, but having him dancing on thin ice was just completely unbelievable. Even if its a fantasy movie, it can still make sense. the thing is, the scene he is talking about took place in some alley. The only person who saw the transformer was Sam, and he was pretty freaked out. the only scene that could be construed as a dancing ape scene was when all of the transformers were hanging around Sams house waiting for him to find the glasses, and destroying everything around the house. But like I said, i refuse to look for realism in that movie. I loved every minute of it
