  1. Can HGH be tested for yet? I bet Donald Fehr fought this tooth and nail.
  2. My office just had a discussion about this, lol. My coworker told me that all of the kids from the original show were 21 when it occured, and that it all has been scripted from the start. I have no proof, she could have been talking outta her ass for all I know. But I thought that it might be scripted when those kids went to Spring Break and were drinking like fools throughout the whole episode. I wouldnt think MTV would want to put themselves into a position in which they were showing off underage kids drinking themselves into oblivion.
  3. QUOTE(Steff @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 01:31 PM) If that was the case it would never spread, no? Why? It is communed through blood transfusions, sex, exchanging bodily fluids, it isnt an airborne virus. What i meant is if player A has HIV and gets a cut, and runs into player B who also has a cut but not HIV, and Player A's blood is near Player B's cut, the chance of transmitting the virus is very very small.
  4. QUOTE(The Critic @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 01:01 PM) That's an interesting take, but I didn't see it that way. Batista had recently been working with Eddie in an angle, so he'd been spending a lot of time with him. I'm sure they became friends and that's why I think Dave was crying. It seemed very genuine to me. EDITED to add that if I had to choose anyone in a Pro Wrestling Steroids Dead Pool, my choice would be Scott Steiner. Steiner has my vote as well. A friend told me that Triple H was no more than a cruiserweight when he first came to the WWE, and bulked up considerably and suspiciously. Batista was a fulltime bodybuilder and bouncer before he was a wrestler, so it isnt a stretch to say that he once took steroids, but I really dont think he does now. Batista also didnt have a period where he jumped up a class like Guerrero did, he was always big in the WWE. Guerrero seemed to go from Cruiserweight in the WCW to Heavyweight in the WWE overnight.
  5. I remember these debates when Magic came out and admitted he was HIV+. Isnt there a very small probability of contracting the virus even when the contact involves infected blood near open wounds? I dont know the specifics, but i thought I read that the virus dies immediately when it is exposed to open air.
  6. QUOTE(The Critic @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 01:13 PM) To me, the worst part about this Cowherd episode is that his bosses are probably going to look at the situation and think "Wow, did Colin ever get the phones to light up! There's a BUZZZZZZ out there about him now!!!!" unfortunately, Radio sees any sort of attention as good attention. Cowherd probably will make a half-assed apology and move on to ripping another person post mortem.
  7. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 01:02 PM) They were good moves, im admitting that. Lee was a great aquisition, and A-ram was good. Its the lack of moves he has made since that, which are going to be his legacy. He has shown no knowledge of building a team quite yet. Look at the way he filled in his team last offseason. Come on. The guy is avg at best. I would say that Jeromy Burnitz filled his role quite well last year, as did Ryan Dempster. Glendon Rusch has been pretty good for the Cubs in whatever role they gave him. Even though he didnt have a magnificent season, Maddux still had a pretty good season for a guy who only goes 6 innings anymore. Every GM has their good deals and their bomb deals. I dont think Hendry sucks at all.
  8. QUOTE(sox4lifeinPA @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 12:49 PM) I'm sorry, I was just surprised when I wasn't able to write a certain word, but could say "nazi ass chicken f***ing b****"... I understand the respect aspect. I don't ever intended to call someone that name, it just struck me as odd. that's all. I dont understand where you are going with this. You are comparing putting a bullet in a book, to putting a bullet in a person. Then you are saying that it isnt right that Eminem cant say "f***ing f**" when Billy Joe is saying "Redneck" and "Idiot America". The KKK, Al Queda, and Green Day? These are arent comparisons, they arent even remotely connected. Have you heard the album? Do you know if there are actual references to putting a bullet in the bible?
  9. QUOTE(The Critic @ Nov 15, 2005 -> 10:38 AM) Yeah, it was pretty tough to watch. I expected Benoit, Rey and Chavo to have a tough time, and even Big Show since he seems to be the emotional type, but Batista breaking down surprised me a bit. Smackdown was taped on Sunday night too, so that show will also be a tribute to Eddie. Triple H's "tribute" kinda bugged me. He seemed to be very fake, and had no personal recollections. Just the standard "triumphing over his demons" thing, no anecdotes of his own interaction with Eddie. At least Stephanie seemed to feel for Eddie's wife and kids. Triple H and Stephanie said the same thing, "Eddie could make you laugh, he could make you cry, he could make you mad at him the next minute, and he would do it all with a twinkle in his eye and a smile on his face". Verbatim. It really pissed me off. Triple H definitely looked like he was manufacturing some tears.
  10. When I moonlighted at a radiostation, one of the jobs I had was sitting in the station and making sure that a few syndicated show ran correctly and didnt go off the air. One of the shows was "Piledriver", a rock and wrestling show that really was funny, and showcased alot of rock. You would not believe the phone response we would get for this show, everyone was calling in trying to get on the show, but it was syndicated(ie. pre-recorded) so they couldnt get on. There are alot of wrestling fans out there, regardless of the stigma that follows them around that they are all roiders and that the sport is fake, and they will defend their sport like no other. I used to have a kid call me and pretend to be the Rock. Cowherd must have been going exclusively for shock value, because what he said was tremendously insensitive and uninformed.
  11. great, another MTV creation that will suck the will to live out of my wife one hour at a time. What did i ever do to MTV?
  12. I think there was a point in that game in which 5 offensive fouls were called in a row, it really was a poorly officiated game. That being said, the Bulls offense completely sucked. Hard game to watch, the Warriors basically ran them right off the court.
  13. I dont know if any of you watched RAW last night, but it was pretty sad. The storylines were pretty much thrown out the window, and everyone just wrestled. Everyone also had an Eddy Guerrero T-shirt on and a EG armband. There were interviews of all of his closest friends(Batista, Benoit, Rey, etc) and it was really sad. Batista cried like a little kid, I was honestly surprised. On a tremendously dissapointing note, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon read the same prepared statement, and came off sounding less than genuine(surprise, surprise)
  14. QUOTE(Steff @ Nov 14, 2005 -> 06:41 PM) Pfftt... you know you've bookmarked and plan to read them all. Its amusing, I will not deny. I have found some hilarious pictures of that lady screaming
  15. QUOTE(Steff @ Nov 14, 2005 -> 06:34 PM) LMAO.. that is just hysterical!! I thought the same thing. I tried it just to see what popped up, and there were too many pages to count
  16. Im sorry I cannot include a verified link saying that this lady actually took the money for a gastric bypass, it seems that there isnt an official release that I can find as of now(and i have gone through plenty of google pages, let me tell you). But if you google "Trading Spouses + Crazy Lady + Gastric Bypass" you will see that every chatroom that discusses this show says that she took 20 grand to get a gastric bypass. TIFWIW.
  17. I was told that she turned down the money from the show initially, because they put her into a family of people who didnt believe in Christianity. Then she saw the check, changed her mind, and used it on a gastric bypass. Apparently there is a follow-up show on the way
  18. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Nov 14, 2005 -> 03:53 PM) If A=B, and B=C, therefore B=C. If A=Soxtalk, and Soxtalk=C, therefore Soxtalk=Soxtalk. Man, I just don't understand. Then A+B+(disrespect)+C=2005 World Champions M__he___c__rs!
  19. QUOTE(Steff @ Nov 14, 2005 -> 03:52 PM) It's fun.. LOL, I didnt even complete my post yet(accidentally added the post) and you knew what I was talking about
  20. Look at this completely logic-free thread. These threads always crack me up. They start strong, Juggs enters, everyone scrums, Juggs deduces that we are all inferior beings who just dont get it, and everyone moves on and laughs about it. i swear you could set your watch to a thread like this. And from a read-only standpoint, i really enjoy reading the arguments.
  21. QUOTE(juddling @ Nov 14, 2005 -> 03:39 PM) "Their parents didn't approve of them being together" because of the age difference, she said. "It wasn't because he was a shady character, because he wasn't." Yeah, he sure proved himself to be an upright concientious individual to their parents, now didnt he?
  22. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Nov 14, 2005 -> 02:01 PM) Playing Fantasy football, and seeing the yards the Bears rack up on the ground really makes you understand how good of a running game the Bears really do have. Granted, we run the ball alot more than alot more than other teams, however, right now, we have 3 NFL starters at HB right now. ( Peterson is not this good,at least I really, really dont think so....) It isnt so bad to have a running back who was the top 1-AA rusher in history. After reading this story, it looks like Adrian Peterson was supposed to be a bigtime back at a bigtime school, but his qualifying scores came in late. http://archive.profootballweekly.com/conte...rson_121701.asp
  23. These people never have the wrapper it came in. That alone will shed alot of doubt on this story. And the whole "how the hell did a turtle get packaged in coffee" thing
  24. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Nov 14, 2005 -> 01:56 PM) Alright, 3-6 weeks is actually pretty good news, and like I stated earlier, with the way Peterson has been running, and with TJ coming back, 3-6 for Benson is not a big loss. Just a shame the kid has to lose time. He really has looked good with his time on the field. He looked good, but dammit if Peterson didnt look so much better. Peterson has been running with authority all year. Its amazing how deep the Bears have been at the tailback position this year.
  25. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Nov 14, 2005 -> 01:54 PM) They did x-rays and it was negative, how could he have a broken leg? I call BS Wouldnt be the first time ESPN1000 reported something wrong. I waited for a linkable source, but none came. I still thought it was noteworthy enough to start a post, and it sucks that he is out 3-6 weeks, but it is much better than a broken leg.
