  1. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Apr 13, 2017 -> 05:13 PM) Hawk is a hell of a broadcaster, great call on the Anderson HR. You could practically hear Stone tap his shoulder and point to the homerun
  2. QUOTE (KagakuOtoko @ Apr 13, 2017 -> 11:54 AM) So the playoff insures we get more of the incompetent GarPax. *blech* this was insured long ago
  3. QUOTE (2005thxfrthmmrs @ Apr 13, 2017 -> 10:54 AM) No kidding. MCW, Valentine, Zipser, Payne, Canaan, Morrow all shoots under 40% and has PER under 10. I don't know if there are any teams out there who could match that. I agree with everyone but Zipser. His play got considerably better once he got playing time. Oh and Payne can do a mean high five in the middle of a game while riding the bench
  4. QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 13, 2017 -> 09:22 AM) Yeah but partial credit, Nets didn't start an NBA team last night. that never stopped the Bulls from losing this year lol. Philly did that a few times after Embiid went down IIRC
  5. Well, they looked more motivated the last two games than I have seen them all season. Maybe they carry that into the playoffs, or maybe not since they won't be playing NJ or Orlando
  6. QUOTE (miracleon35th @ Apr 12, 2017 -> 10:14 PM) Saladino made great plays at second last season and he just made another today...possibly a game saver. Moncada was not impressive at second base in Spring Training. Why mess with Saladino if he is excelling as a second basemen? Moncada's build reminds me more of Mike Trout - solid, muscle bound, with good straight line speed. If only Moncada could put on a center fielder's glove he could really fill in a huge hole in the outfield between Melky and Avi and, at the same time, add a left hand bat with pop in the line-up. Matt Davidson has been fun to watch at the plate, but unlike Avi, he has not missed too many meals. I don't understand how he got that big. The extra weight could really limit his usefulness. On the other hand, if he can get in better shape, he could be a force. Avi Garcia is a case in point. He runs like a gazelle this year compared to years past. They are not moving Moncada to centerfield so Saladino can play second. Just stop
  7. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 12, 2017 -> 05:49 PM) I said I had no forceful opinion on the subject either way. Why do u hate me so? I wondered everybody's take on this. I don't hate you. Your arguments drive me insane but I don't hate you. The above question was a genuine question, no mocking. The point of my question was to ask you if you feel it is fair game for anyone's past to be brought up as it was here, because you went viral for some reason. I dont think that is fair at all
  8. QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ Apr 12, 2017 -> 04:16 PM) And then put up a fit about it to the point where police were called. Sure. He didn't put up a fit until he was dragged out. And to your analogy, you ordered your food and it was put In front of you and then were told "sorry, we don't have enough for you. You have to leave now here is a raincheck" while an employee waited to eat your food But that's not what I was talking about. I was talking about this mans completely irrelevant past brought into it
  9. That is seriously f***ed up. Recognize our bigoted laws or else
  10. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 12, 2017 -> 02:56 PM) Very interesting piece here on whether the past of David Deo (United passenger injured when getting dragged off flight) should have been dredged up by media outlets as part of this story. What do you folks think? Should the fact Dr. Deo 13 years ago got in SERIOUS trouble with the law been a part of this story or not? I have mixed emotions. It seems to me it is pertinent for folks to wonder a bit about the victim of this atrocity, hence fair game to write about who Dr. Deo is and what happened in his past. I enjoyed reading this item, however. It's not too often newspaper people take the type of position this author did. I have no forceful opinion on this either way. http://www.freep.com/story/opinion/columni...tion/100334210/ So if you are out to dinner, and someone sucker punches you and the video goes viral, you think it is fair game that your possible criminal history gets thrown out there for all to see? Even though it is completely unrelated and establishes nothing?
  11. QUOTE (raBBit @ Apr 12, 2017 -> 01:19 PM) http://www.cbsnews.com/news/betsy-devos-se...r-eight-months/ Threats to DeVos make her a very expensive cabinet member. They are all expensive. Pruitt is apparently asking for a 10 person security detail to protect him against threats and "the left"
  12. its just a tweet in its own page

  14. Terribly sad about Charlie Murphy, leukemia at 57
  15. Just think, imagine if you will, an administration that doesnt have to repeatedly make apologies for errant, misinformed, insincere, racist statements. Now imagine an administration that actually makes those apologies instead of glossing them over and doubling down.
  16. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 12, 2017 -> 08:40 AM) Is he really THAT well-known at SoxTalk? But seriously, with Kushner on the ascendancy, wouldn't he now be the first apology after the president for making the administration look so amateurish yet again? Who was the main one that helped him get the press secretary job? Wasn't it Priebus? this apology was about money, they don't give a s*** about feelings
  17. Lol, the implication is pretty obvious Caulfield

  22. Kyyle23 replied to kapkomet's topic in The Filibuster
Well, Sean Spicer has succeeded in making United look like less of an asshole. Didnt think that was possible, but here we are http://www.cnn.com/2017/04/11/politics/sea...emical-weapons/
  23. I don't understand how he sucks too much to be considered for a roster spot and yet will vault the Sox to 77 wins at the same time
  24. Everyone continues to say United overbooked, they didn't do that. They were trying to move a flight crew to Louisville
  25. QUOTE (miracleon35th @ Apr 10, 2017 -> 01:42 PM) Asche had a hit yesterday and has hit some balls hard. I am more concerned about May, who looks over matched, clueless, and weak at the plate. May can field an important position and he really doesnt matter here. Asche and Davidson are fighting for the same PT
