QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Dec 20, 2016 -> 11:34 AM) I'm already having this same discussion elsewhere but just because a movie is set on or around Christmas doesn't make it a Christmas movie. As much as people think it's clever to include them every year, movies like Die Hard, Gremlins and Rocky 4 do not count. They aren't movies about the holiday itself. They are about events that just happen to take place around the holiday. It's a small albeit distinct difference IMO. To each their own. Gremlins, outside of being set at christmas time, has a storyline about how everything bad happens to Kate on christmas, and the Gizmo is given to the main character as a christmas present from his dad who is never home. Im not gonna argue your list and what does and does not count, and i will keep gremlins on mine lol

  5. QUOTE (SoxSteve @ Dec 19, 2016 -> 02:42 PM) Pressure is knowing that everytime you go to the mound if you give up 2-3 runs your teams loses. That's pressure. WHOA WHOA WHOA LOGIC NOT APPROVED
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 19, 2016 -> 02:30 PM) Remember the Gore incident, I don't blame them at all. What incentive do they have to help their college? Remember they aren't sharing any of that wealth from the bowl games with them. From a player perspective, I totally get this. Do you mean McGahee? I don't remember anything happening to Gore
  7. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 19, 2016 -> 02:11 PM) No, you don't understand. Q is the backup QB so he has only played against the 2nd unit (that's why it's the number 2 starter, they play the number 2 team). If he's traded to a GOOD team and is their number 1, he'll have to start playing their number 1 players and that's harder. It's just baseball, Kyyle. That really sucks for Quintana, he is gonna suck so hard when he has to pitch against real players. its always cool when other teams rest their 25 man roster and call up their minor leaguers to face the sox.
  8. Since Quintana has no pressure, that means the opposing player has no pressure, since Quintana has been able to dominate opposing players in the box. Its all relative, when players show up to the Cell....um, G Rate, they feel no need to win the game because the Sox arent good, so they just let Quintana beat them since he doesnt have any pressure either. So, in summary, Quintanas numbers dont mean anything because nobody feels any pressure in the field where the White Sox play, therefore all numbers generated in the field where the White Sox play dont mean anything because Josh McCown
  9. QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 19, 2016 -> 11:47 AM) Fournette and McCaffery skipping their bowl games and getting roasted on twitter by people who sit on their couches and watch games. This will become the norm we should expect. Especially with the playoff system. They want to be healthy for NFL prep. I don't blame them. Danny Kanell had thoughts on this and he is being destroyed for them His first point was "Does everyone who keeps using Jaylon Smith injury as an examplee of why players should skip bowl realize he got paid an insurance claim?" because his 900K insurance payout is way better than the 26M guaranteed amount he was gonna get paid at his projected first round slot
  10. My mother in law asked me a few times during the year if I wore watches, liked watches, etc. I told her over and over that I just have never liked wearing watches, so of course she got me a watch. And got mad at me when I didn't wear it after Christmas
  11. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 19, 2016 -> 09:14 AM) Listen, nobody can stop the Barkley train except bears receivers. So that means you'll need to hire Josh Bellamy as your DC. "HANDS ARE FOR BATTING THE BALL DOWN"
  12. Well hey, that was interesting
  13. Bears gonna make it interesting and then Bellamy all over themselves

  16. QUOTE (greg775 @ Dec 16, 2016 -> 12:59 AM) I'm pleased Obama is going to punish Russia for hacking the election. WTF? If we are truly the greatest FREE nation we can't stand for that kind of bulls***. I hope it's a SEVERE punishment handed to Russia. f*** them. Hit em where it hurts, Mr. Obama. Thank you. What exactly is your favorite president going to do?
  17. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Dec 15, 2016 -> 07:12 PM) Hypothetically, what happens if there's evidence of Trump's campaign actually colluding with Russia in some way? *hand wave*
  18. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Dec 15, 2016 -> 08:48 AM) What rule did they change because of him? Are you talking about this one? NFL moves up kickoff to 35-yard line Cause that one was done for player safety. I should have put rules in quotes, what i mean is coaches changed their strategies based on him. Teams kicked kickoffs out of bounds trying to keep it out of his hands, field position was gladly given away in order to keep the ball out of his hands. And the above NFL rule pretty much made sure he wasnt going to return any kicks anymore unless a team was really stupid, and by that point everyone wasnt going to be the one that kicked to him anymore.
  19. One of the good guys, everyone loved him. Very sad, he fought very hard
  20. Super Mario Run is a pretty fun game

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 15, 2016 -> 11:44 AM) I have no interest in seeing the first 6 minutes of a movie I absolutely plan on seeing. You have to admit though, it was pretty awesome seeing the bank heist scene in The Dark Knight before it came out
  22. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Dec 14, 2016 -> 04:34 PM) Tough call on Hester to the HOF. Very exciting player, but it depends on how they value returners. I think he would be the first. He also did most of his damage in his first two years in the league. After those years, he had one kick off returned for TD. That's because they changed the rules because of him and coaches stopped kicking to him completely, that's why he stopped returning kicks
  23. Alan Thicke, 69
  24. QUOTE (Con te Giolito @ Dec 13, 2016 -> 06:30 PM) Hester's career is likely over. Has to be a HOFer right? He was the best ever at what he did. If they need to put some sort of exception in for him, they should
