QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Oct 4, 2016 -> 11:47 AM) Anyone else watch Timeless? Not sure how long it will last, but I always like shows/movies/books where you see the outcome when random historical events are changed. Me and Brian are patiently awaiting Quantum Leap's grand return

Any news on Kevin White? Im assuming no news is good news, but then again, John Fox doesnt ever reveal anything

QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Oct 3, 2016 -> 11:41 AM) I thought the premiere was pretty fantastic. I read enough reviews to know that its going to take 2-3 episodes to "settle in" given the pretty large cast and multiple storylines, so I wasn't upset that after 75 minutes nothing really happened. Just a bunch of set up.

USA Today: White Sox Will Retain Robin Ventura, If He Wants to Return

QUOTE (Reddy @ Oct 2, 2016 -> 10:18 PM) And that has nothing to do with LOYALTY! That has to do with the location of the park, the history of the park, the trendiness of the team, the fact that it's a bar-type college bro atmosphere. The reason they draw has NOTHING TO DO WITH BASEBALL Come on man. This is obvious. Nah, the Cubs have a large fanbase, they travel extremely well, their fans are pretty loyal. You can put things in caps all you want, but they draw well because their fans love them. That doesnt mean Sox fans dont love their team, there just arent as many as there are cubs fans -
QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 3, 2016 -> 08:59 AM) So this maybe the Jurassic World of WestWorld? that is actually a good comparison, if they plan on running with it

QUOTE (Ezio Auditore @ Oct 3, 2016 -> 08:30 AM) Please bear in mind that the Lions are an awful team. Equally as bad as the Bears currently are, or worse. This is vintage Detroit, as we've always known them, before they got Megatron, Stafford, and a defensive line, and started flirting with the idea of going to the playoffs. I understand this, I'm just taking small satisfaction in some of the younger players having good games, and the defense playing well. The Lions may be a shell of themselves but they have had two games this season where they put up 35+.

I wonder if the 1973 movie is part of the timeline. It kind of seemed that way when they referenced previous rebellions

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 2, 2016 -> 06:04 PM) Which scenario? Paxson staying and Forman being promoted? Hoiberg being hired without them looking at anyone else? At this point I'm actually not sure which one you mean. Everyone thought Gar was gone this offseason but they came out and said "nope we will fix this together joke is on you"

I like how the exact scenario played out with the Bulls and we all still thought it would end up different lol

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Oct 2, 2016 -> 02:53 PM) Someone should be fired or released for allowing that punt return only the Bears. Oh I promise it happens to other teams also

So did the Super Bowl break the Panthers?

QUOTE (oldsox @ Oct 1, 2016 -> 07:05 PM) What is it you don't like about Miracles post? The toothless bumpkin characterization, the meatball blaming of Bartman for anything. pretty much all of it -

QUOTE (miracleon35th @ Sep 30, 2016 -> 05:57 PM) The cubz bandwagon started filling up when Harry Carey moved from the White Sox to the Cubs in 1981. That was huge. It exposed much of the country to Harry and the Cubs via Super station WGN. How cute those Cubbies were to toothless bumpkins in Iowa and throughout the WGN viewing area, and how comfortable grandparents were with folksy Harry, starting his broadcasts, "Hello everybaddy.." Yea, Cubz picked up a lot of fans, especially in remote cities and towns lacking a MLB franchise. There is not question though that Sox ownership were foolish with that nonsense paid Sportsvision. And that came on the heels of substandard WSNS UHF TV broadcasts of Sox games. Dumb and dumber. The thing that turned the dynamic of Cubs/Sox fandom around in a substantial way was how cubs fans were viewed after their behavior at and following the infamous 2003 Bartman game. Then on the heels of that debacle, the surprise World Series Championship that was waiting for our City in 2005. Shock (2003) and Awe (2005). It would be hilarious if the Cubs choked in the playoffs and something like that happened again. I feel like eating spaghetti after this large meatball showed up -
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Oct 1, 2016 -> 01:11 AM) Derrick is just dumping gasoline on his Chicago legacy. Where have you been the past 4 years, he set fire to that a long time ago

I think Arrietta is just a bit of a headcase this year. He finally cracked from last years unbreakable performance and while he is still really, REALLY, good, he isnt superhuman anymore. Maybe it has to do with not getting that contract, maybe he is just regressing to the mean a bit

http://theslot.jezebel.com/donald-trump-is...-the-1787193844 This guy should just accept not getting the extra 30K for the pianos that Donald bought. Its the same as not getting a tip for bad service

QUOTE (Deadpool @ Sep 29, 2016 -> 12:16 PM) I don't disagree with this point, either, but we can't go and re-fire Emery on this. I don't believe anyone is currently fireable at this very moment. Edit: maybe just Loggains. I agree, I'm just saying that this mess is not on Pace. The cleanup, that's on Pace

QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 29, 2016 -> 09:48 AM) On the other hand, they decided to go 3-4, which certainly killed ego ferguson and sutton's value in the scheme. The Bears are not much different than a expansion team at this point for how much turnover they've had. So, are you saying they should have stayed 4-3 in order to preserve Ferguson and Suttons value? edit: nm i see what you are saying. Still though, the Bears switched schemes because they deemed all of their (at that point) current parts to be completely replaceable. Which hasnt been proven wrong

QUOTE (Deadpool @ Sep 29, 2016 -> 09:02 AM) Fox won't get fired. If anything, the personnel just isn't there. This mess is on Pace. No, this mess is on Emery and Angelo more than Pace. Biggs was saying this morning that the only players from the Emery drafting era that could be on the team next season are Leno, Jeffrey and Long. You cant judge Pace's drafts yet
