  1. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Mar 13, 2017 -> 05:00 PM) https://www.forbes.com/sites/theapothecary/...s/#112efd3346a7 Article disagrees Sure, an op ed disagrees with facts.
  2. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Mar 13, 2017 -> 04:01 PM) CBO report is out. Some choice conclusions: Roughly double the uninsured rate in less than a decade. 52 million uninsured by 2026. Why are they pushing so hard for this bill?? You know. Rich people getting more rich
  3. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 13, 2017 -> 12:35 PM) The quotes coming out of Bulls players are pretty interesting. It certainly seems that communication isn't Hoiberg's strong suit (going all the way back to the Noah "benching himself" for Niko to be the starter thing last year). That is what you got out of the quotes? Wade directly called out the front office and actually defended Hoiberg. I am not a Hoiberg fan at all, but the issue seems to be with the front office right now, not Fred
  4. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Mar 13, 2017 -> 10:12 AM) I'm probably 14-15 hours in at this point and have done nothing of significance other than getting off the grand plateau and uncovering the "main" quest line. I'm having too much fun getting lost on side treks/exploring new areas. Other than the wonky controls, my only other complaint is the fact that your weapons degrade and break. I would have preferred you just get awesome weapons, or if they are going to degrade, make it a skill or an option in town to fix them. I go through weapons too fast. I read that later in the game weapons last a lot longer. I hope that's true. Yea, I was caught facing a boss with not enough weapons and I had to reconfigure my plan. I got my strategy guide as a backup and the longer I go, the more I have to refer to it

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 13, 2017 -> 08:13 AM) Why 9pm? Kids need 12 hours of sleep overnight - do you want him to sleep in? Birdie has been an amazing sleeper. I like to think it's because we Baby Wised the s*** out of her and got her on a schedule. She's been sleeping 7p-7:20am since she was like 6 weeks old. Sleep training ftw. She's at one nap a day. Every single day is as follows: 7:20a up 12:30-3p nap 7:00p bedtime She likes the schedule and so do we. You were lucky. My middle child was a scheduled sleeper, done at 8-830, up around 6-6:30, naps around 10 and 2. My youngest, nope. We did the exact same things with him, he just refused naps. The best we could do is get him to snooze 10-20 minutes, wouldn't sleep in his crib or bassinet, only wanted to sleep next to mom. It was maddening
  6. I haven't found anything that tracks my progress but I really haven't looked lol. I'm doing the zora quest right now and the difference between having a specific weapon given to you to use in a specific dungeon(like the older games), and having these runes and a bunch of different weapons is just crazy.
  7. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Mar 10, 2017 -> 08:41 PM) Clinton fired ALL 93 US attorney's in 1993 right after taking office hardly anything new. https://twitter.com/rvawonk/status/840657134744416257 Yea it's all the same nothing new
  8. There are so many different ways to solve puzzles, and the open world let's you just do things whatever way you want. I really like the side quest adventure log, I'm gonna try as hard as I can to 100% the game. As part of my bundle I got the strategy guide, and it is a beast, 353 pages
  9. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Mar 9, 2017 -> 12:03 PM) Is Matt Barkley coming back next year as a backup? Don't think so, pretty sure Shaw is gonna be the third stringer/practice squad qb
  10. Glennon is a one year deal, and they are drafting a qb. Whatever
  11. Scott Pruitt just said he doesn't believe CO2 contributes to climate change. So, yea, everyone start buying Chinese made face masks because they probably are the best
  12. @rapsheet When Mike Glennon’s deal is finalized with #Bears, it’s expected to be 3 years for an average of $14.5M, source says. Will still draft a QB https://twitter.com/rapsheet/status/839813184018137088
  13. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Mar 8, 2017 -> 02:47 PM) Cousins to SF no sure thing, so If Hoyer starts it is comparable. Ok, continue raging about nothing
  14. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Mar 8, 2017 -> 02:30 PM) I can't wait to see Hoyer and Glennon deals side by side. Why, they aren't relevant to each other. Hoyer is going to SF to backup cousins, if Glennon comes to the Bears he will start. The money doesn't matter, the bears are gonna overpay but that is ok, they aren't cash strapped up against the cap. The only thing that matters is he guarantee
  15. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 8, 2017 -> 02:11 PM) I'm not talking about s***ty free games to download. I'm talking about new awesome games. Good God, the games coming out are just unreal. Deep, beautiful, immersive, different. Jesus, I'm like 3% into Horizon: Zero Dawn and Ghost Recon Wildlands is about to come out. AND I'M STILL PLAYING MLB 16 AND NOW MLB 17 WILL BE OUT. And I'm still playing NBA. And I still have tons to do in Steep. And I still have Metal Gear which I never started. And I still have Batman which I never started. This doesn't include the tons of games I've already completed. Man, we have it lucky. I'm a 34 year old with a kid and I have countless options for entertainment each night after she's in bed. Enjoy this time while she is unaware of what you are playing. Once she realizes that, its over.
  16. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Mar 8, 2017 -> 01:39 PM) AARP Opposes Healthcare Bill American Medical Association also opposes the bill. Who actually likes this thing? Paul Ryan. And the rich people that tell him what to do
  17. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 8, 2017 -> 01:55 PM) I was being a hater. My experience with Nintendo the past ten years is fairly consistent. Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Land games are f***ing great. I honestly don't think I've ever enjoyed a game more front to back more than I did Super Mario Galaxy. That game honestly made the Wii purchase worth it for me. But there's no longevity. I've had my PS4 since 2014, and it's still delivering fantastic titles. I get to try something new and exciting on a monthly basis while playing top-notch sports games. The Nintendo gaming systems offer none of that. SO without those yearly sports simulation staples and fantastic third party games, they're stuck with JUST exclusives which Sony is also kicking everyone's asses in including Nintendo. Bang for buck, the Wii was "worth it" while the PS4 has paid for itself 55 times over and is still delivering outstanding experiences non-stop. As for No Man's Sky, I still have never experienced anything like it. The 30+ hours I spent with the game were completely new, original, and exciting for me. Once I cracked the code, I didn't see a reason to go back, but I got as much entertainment out of that as I did Super Mario 3D Land. that comes in a few months, they are going to have a yearly subscription service like PSN and XB, supposed to be about 50 bucks a year
  18. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 8, 2017 -> 01:15 PM) Nintendo guy gonna Nintendo guy. Enjoy the 7 games they make that actually don't suck before the system dies and they launch some weird new concept in 5 years and put out 7 games that don't suck etc. etc. I thought I'd learned my lesson with the Wii and then I got a 3DS. Same story. Here's your Mario game, here's your Zelda game, here's your Mario Kart game, now enjoy a bunch of s***ty third party games. /s***tingonnintendoguy I think this is the concept they have been building towards for quite a while, I don't think there will be a radical change any time soon. 3ds is gonna phase out because of this thing The consoles aren't all the same, I understand Nintendo has a ton of 3rd party issues. But I go into this thread and you guys pump up No Mans Sky like it is gonna change gaming forever and one day after it is released 99 percent of the people hyping it are like "this is f***ing boring what's next". Very few times have I been that excited for a game only to s*** on it one day after I bought it And your point about 3ds not having good 3rd party games is flat out wrong
  19. Zelda is stunning. And I f***ing love the pro controller
  20. Wow, Tyrod Taylor staying in Buffalo, restructured contract Also, Romo getting outright release tomorrow
  21. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Mar 8, 2017 -> 09:26 AM) Well they cut out the crazy year (usually 3rd year). Unless Marshall decides to speed up his exit which is something he would totally do. No, crazy year is year 2. Left dolphins, Jets after the second year. Also was arrested 3 times in 2007, his second year with the Broncos. Year three is when teams say "see ya" edit: left bears after year three, after Emery did emery things
  22. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 8, 2017 -> 09:59 AM) He all for everyone, except the little guy who builds his casinos that he doesn't pay. Or the promise of yuge, great jobs in Gary that he was going to give to black people, except they were $25k a year jobs he gave to white people, and he declared bankruptcy before making Gary great again, but said it was a great deal because he took his money and ran. And the people in Scotland on his golf course, where there was going to be yuge amounts of jobs and everyone was going to get rich. That worked out so well, the people signed a petition to try to keep him out of their country. You have to give him credit for being a genius PR guy, but he has a long trail of not being what he claims to be, and so many people don't even want to look at that. It is funny his sons are now going to start a less expensive Trump brand hotel in the rural areas where much of his base is. It might do well for a few years until they realize their VCR factory isn't really coming back. I get why some may want a "business man" in the WH. But not a guy who makes his money screwing over banks and people. If he's really worth the $10 billion he claims, why doesn't he do the right thing and start paying back some of the people he claims won't be forgotten, that he left holding the bag? Sooooo, you would give him a 7/10? 8/10?
  23. QUOTE (greg775 @ Mar 7, 2017 -> 05:54 PM) Since this is the Trump thread, rate his performance so far. I'd give him a 5 out of 10. Despite all the screaming from never-ever Trumpers who would never give him a chance, he hasn't done anything despicable yet, though the new healthcare plan might be even worse than Obamacare. I could give him a 3.5 or 4 after that comes out. I'd give Trump a 9-10 as a businessman. I read somewhere he's worth $3.7 billion. That's a lot of loot. p.s. I'd give Obama a 5-10 as President. As a person I'd give Obama a 9-10. Seems like a great man. lmao at these grades. Trump is a multiple time over failed businessman in so many different categories, has bankrupted so many different companies, got busted selling a fake college and greg is like "I heard he is worth a lot whoopie he is such a great businessman" He hasnt done anything despicable yet! LOLOLOLOL
  24. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Mar 7, 2017 -> 05:07 PM) Brady wants too play 3 or 4 more years, NE can't pay TB and JG top money to hang around after 2017. I didn't think they could pay them both either but Brady keeps restructuring and giving them flexibility. Brady may want to play 3-4 more years but he could blow out his knee in the first play of the season next year and call it a career
  25. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Mar 7, 2017 -> 03:37 PM) NFL Network's Mike Garofolo suggested the Patriots are seeking two first-round picks in exchange for Jimmy Garoppolo. The Boston Herald previously suggested New England's asking price was a first- and second-rounder. Citing "someone somewhat connected to the situation," Garofolo speculated the actual cost would be a first-round pick in 2017 and another first-rounder in 2018. The Patriots have a ton of leverage in trade talks, and seem more than willing to keep Garoppolo if nobody bites. Source: Chris Wesseling on Twitter NE good luck with that, talk about over playing your hand. It's not overplaying your hand if keeping him to replace Brady is a viable option in their minds. If someone pays their price, great. If not, he waits behind brady
