  1. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 2, 2016 -> 09:20 AM) Walking Dead? Ha And you forgot The Flash. Dope. Im too far down the rabbit hole with Walking Dead to stop now. Im just hoping Kevin Smith doesnt curse the Flash this season
  2. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 2, 2016 -> 09:13 AM) Mariani. Ugh. Why? Footbally
  3. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 2, 2016 -> 09:10 AM) The previews for this look legit. The upcoming Fall programming is just gonna be awesome. Westworld, Luke Cage, Walking Dead all coming in October, and I am sure there is something else i am missing
  4. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Sep 2, 2016 -> 08:24 AM) I said around draft time that he'd be starting by week 8 or so but at this point it doesn't appear there is a roster spot available for him. I think they try to get him through waivers and onto the practice squad. I think someone claims him though. Meredith had a pretty good preseason, that hurt Bravermans chances a lot. i think they try and sneak him through waivers too
  5. Hillary needs to abandon her current campaign slogan and immediately turn to "Taco Trucks on Every Corner" because i want that
  6. so did Braverman win the starting slot job now or what
  7. QUOTE (ron883 @ Sep 1, 2016 -> 11:41 AM) Our first baseman finally pushes his OPS above .800 and people want me to apologize for saying he was figured out. News flash, .805 ops and 19 homers isn't all that great for a below average fielding 1B. Jose just isn't what we thought was. thanks for the update. keep on truckin
  8. QUOTE (Tony @ Sep 1, 2016 -> 10:01 AM) Yeah that was really good. Also, funny to see how the kids are already growing. You could hear the difference in Dustin's voice. They(the duffer bros) specifically talked about Dustins voice dropping as a reason they want to jump forward a year
  9. QUOTE (balfanman @ Sep 1, 2016 -> 11:01 AM) Then put Salidino in the outfield everyday and let him get more experience as a utility man and put Sanchez at 2nd. They have not been given anywhere near the chances that Avi has had and he's still terrible. Pretty sure they dont want him in the outfield because he had TJS
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 1, 2016 -> 09:13 AM) I think we all know what the reality is. They like what they're doing now and they're going to do it again. you are probably right
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 1, 2016 -> 09:07 AM) "Spend like a boss"? On what? If Cespedes doesn't opt out, who is left? Does Ramos + Rich Hill + Josh Reddick turn this team into the best team even in just the AL Central? I guess we will see. The point is, dont half ass it if you are going to throw money at it again disclaimer: im not approving of this avenue they seem to be choosing. Just saying if you are going balls out, you might as wear get out the assless chaps too
  12. QUOTE (Hatchetman @ Sep 1, 2016 -> 08:18 AM) he caught the ball, couldn't get a handle on it and pretty much threw it straight into the ground. would've taken a great through to nail him. No. Bernstein said yesterday (with help from Scott from Davenport) that there have been 238 fly balls (of 200 feet or less) to left this season with a runner on 3rd base. Only 6 of those runners have scored. After yesterday, that number is up to 7. It was a terrible setup, it was an even more terrible throw, but it wasnt a herculean feat to get that ball home.
  13. Heyman is about to be on Mully and Hanley talking about it
  14. http://www.todaysknuckleball.com/al/chicag...-sale-quintana/ Alright, if that's the way you want to go Jerry, no more p****footing. No half measures. You either spend like a boss or tear it down at this point
  15. QUOTE (captain54 @ Aug 31, 2016 -> 03:15 PM) Nice defensive move by Ventura to put Avi in left. Any consolation is that if any series was a micrososm and exposure of the state of this franchise. This was it Who was he supposed to put out there? Melky is sick, Coats is down. He didn't have many options
  16. How can any reliever look Sale or Quintana in the eye? f***ing embarrassing
  17. They already have all 9 episodes written and titled, so it seems to me they arent flying by the seat of their pants going forward, and they know where its going already. At least it isnt like LOST where the writers were like "well, where do we go now?"
  18. there is a lot of story here left to tell. Im not worried about it continuing, because it is the same cast and crew
  19. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Aug 31, 2016 -> 10:41 AM) Should make one item clear. Sox were in attendance. And I also want to point out, I am one who is fully convinced if Jordan started baseball when he was younger or to be frank gave it more time, I think he could have played in the league. I'm not saying he would be a star, but to even do what he did at AA was pretty impressive for a guy who hadn't played baseball in forever. His stats were not good for a regular AA'er, but this was a guy who last played what, in high school, so he was 13 or so years removed from his last game, was put in AA, and was able to hit just above .200 while shockingly showing a pretty good awareness of the strike zone (51 walks in 127 games). And I don't think this attempt has anything to do with arrogance, I think it has more to do with him knowing he isn't going to be able to play football and he wants to still compete so he is trying the next best thing. Clearly the odds are astronomical that he'd succeed, but crazier things have happened. Look at the movie the "Rookie". I think the chances of a guy coming in and pitching in the majors are way better than a guy coming in to be a position player. I really cant think of anyone that hasnt played in organized ball for a long period of time and was able to come in and play a position and hit. It has happened a few times with pitchers We all know Tebow isnt gonna come in and pitch
  20. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Aug 31, 2016 -> 10:38 AM) Was that really his knee? just a reference photo of one. That guy is wearing jeans
  21. Stranger Things finally, officially picked up for a second season(summer 2017). One more episode than this season
  22. QUOTE (Dam8610 @ Aug 30, 2016 -> 08:53 PM) So what you're saying is Sale and Quintana should net a whole playoff team and a few top prospects. I would say the Tigers netted a whole bunch of complimentary guys around the engine that makes that thing go, Miggy, Kinsler and VMart. Fulmer is really damn good though
  23. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Aug 31, 2016 -> 01:57 AM) As much as I would love Puig's talent, he would only add to the clubhouse circus. Lets go three f***ing ring circus. Might as well
  24. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 30, 2016 -> 09:18 AM) And yet none of those individuals have done anything illegal. They are the butt of lots of jokes around the country. That was the parallel. Maybe it's a bad thing to aspire to something more than a discount loan company. So I guess we're supposed to believe they're the most honest and ethical firm out there...in that particular field...when almost every single financial/lending institution colluded together in similar deceiving and predatory practices 8-9 years ago? Let's just say the industry has been unsavory for a long time. Perhaps they're the most ethical company out there and we'll be getting bombarded with testimonials all offseason of Sox media personalities financing their loans through Guaranteed Rate. Maybe SoxTalk should approach them about giving a 5/100's point discount if a board member says they heard about the promotion here. Yea, Countrywide never did anything illegal. Pretty sure you brought up enron also. Just stop already, you know nothing about Guaranteed Rate and you are just throwing s*** at the wall because you dont like the name
