  1. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Mar 31, 2016 -> 11:49 AM) Biggs tweeted that they have signed him. Biggs also hinting at a trade involving an OL. Has to be Slauson or Leno, if it is Leno then you have to think they are looking at LT I guess Grasu could be on the block
  2. QUOTE (shysocks @ Mar 31, 2016 -> 11:36 AM) Couldn't remember if I was on record as wanting Panda... He cratered to .197/.234/.231 against lefties in 2015. Phew. I promise I'll do this if I ever think of something I was wrong about. to the Laroche thread with you. search for wrongness
  3. http://m.bleacherreport.com/articles/26289...mistry-problems Jimmay and Hoiball aren't friends Fred Trestman is gonna get Butler traded. This season is the gift that keeps on giving
  4. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 30, 2016 -> 02:10 PM) Seriously...we are going to unify the team by bringing in Russell. I wanted Russell up until what he pulled. Russell wouldn't be brought in to lead, he would be brought in to play. The guy is 19 years old, he did a dumbass thing. Acting like he is some pariah in the locker room because he filmed a teammate admitting he cheated on Iggy Azalia is funny to me
  5. @pff Newly-signed Bears offensive lineman Manny Ramirez finished last season as PFF's 4th-highest-graded guard. (Played his final 2 games at C.)
  6. QUOTE (scs787 @ Mar 30, 2016 -> 11:05 AM) Still wanting to do this? Is Rose now too much considering what went down? Russell is still just 19 right? I would chalk it up to boys will be boys and hope he learns from it. I seriously couldn't care less what the Lakers think about him, they have f***ed with him all season long. Who gives a s*** that a guy who nicknames himself swaggy p is upset, that team is a dumpster fire
  7. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Mar 30, 2016 -> 09:44 AM) Bears had a very underrated offseason. I know most of y'all are Bears fans. I liked it. Good job by the front office and we'll see how they draft. Question: Will Jeffrey get a long term deal by the deadline? I'm very happy with my Chiefs offseason. Sucks to lose Sean Smith but we have some options at corner and now my man crush Marcus Peters can step into the number one spot. We added perhaps the best RT in the game in Mitchell Schwartz. Can't believe how stupid the Browns are. LOL You guys gonna miss Abdullah? Good for him choosing health over career
  8. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Mar 30, 2016 -> 10:37 AM) I don't think that's true. I'm responding to a statement that the Noah benching (not the way it was done) was the WORST mistake Hoiberg has made this season. Of all the things that happened this year, the Noah benching was the first, but also one of the least important. It started a cascade, it is up there with a bunch of tremendously bad decisions. Like it or not Noah has been viewed as a leader on this team for years, and Hoiberg cut his nuts off in front of the team, and all season there has been zero leadership visible. But hey, Niko started. Awesome move Fred, lost team unity and leadership in favor of starting a guy who clearly was not ready
  9. In other news, Russell is on an absolute island in Lakertown
  10. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Mar 30, 2016 -> 10:18 AM) I think that was all overblown. Noah didn't deny having the talk, he just didn't want it to seem like he had offered to play a lesser role, which is what Hoiberg said. In that talk he knew that he was coming off the bench. He didn't learn that through the media. Still, again, that's a non-issue when it comes to evaluating what went wrong with this team. A professional like Noah could (and really, did) brush that off as a rookie-coach mistake. Seriously man, everything is overblown when you disagree with it
  11. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Mar 30, 2016 -> 09:41 AM) Nah we would still need Lawrie, considering we had the worst production in the MLB out of the 2B spot last year. Even if Lawrie is only the 20th best 2B (where projections have him), that's still a big upgrade. And we gave up nothing in the trade to get him. Stop with facts
  12. QUOTE (JenksIsMyHero @ Mar 30, 2016 -> 09:14 AM) f*** and no. Noah has been/was so incredibly dreadful on the offensive end. He couldn't shoot. He couldn't get put backs. He couldn't shoot FT's. You brought in a guy to change up the offense and score points. Playing Noah and Gasol together wasn't going to achieve that goal. I backed Hoiberg on that decision 100% and I still do. Noah could have been an anchor on the defensive unit that played down the stretch when the Bulls had a solid lead. That would have been perfect. Expecting him to play the 4 with Gasol and actually contribute anything meaningful was a pipe dream. Of all the things to complain about with the front office and Hoiberg, this issue is not on the list. Doing it and how he handled it are two completely separate issues. He told everyone that Noah came to him and suggested that he come off the bench, all of the media went to Noah immediately and asked him about it and he had no idea what they were talking about. In his misguided attempt to "protect" Noah he inadvertently embarrassed him AND revealed to him that he was coming off the bench through the media. The decision was correct, the follow through was college level bulls***
  13. QUOTE (Lillian @ Mar 29, 2016 -> 05:49 PM) I understand that, but I wouldn't mind a trade for a left handed bat. I've always loved Sanchez and Lawrie is not doing anything to impress. He has struck out 17 times in 44 at bats, this Spring. Yikes. Do tell
  14. QUOTE (Lillian @ Mar 29, 2016 -> 05:43 PM) Given the superior defense that Sanchez provides, if Lawrie doesn't start hitting, and Carlos starts the year on fire, at Charlotte, the Sox will be confronted with a difficult decision. Lawrie has not had a good Spring. His strikeouts are just awful. Way too many. Carlos has outplayed him by a huge margin. The Sox aren't gonna bench Lawrie and call up Sanchez early in the season if Lawrie isn't hitting. The only reason Sanchez will come up will be Saladino being miserably bad or injury
  15. QUOTE (shysocks @ Mar 29, 2016 -> 11:49 AM) Report: Royals to seek revenge on Mets for World Series brushback I needed a reminder of how obnoxious the Royals are, and this arrived just in time! I would throw high and tight on Escobar again. Dude goes up there looking for the first pitch, you might as well
  16. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 29, 2016 -> 11:49 AM) They probably have better odds at signing someone via FA. I think more likely destinations are smaller market teams who have to overpay via FA. If I were the Bulls front office I would play on the fact that the Lakers are getting kind of desperate to get some names on the floor and that Derrick likes being in LA. Maybe steal Russell from them since Scott seems dead set on gluing him to the bench
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 29, 2016 -> 11:46 AM) I'm just wondering if, given his contract, you could get a first round pick for him. Maybe if you took back a longer contract perhaps? With the cap space you wouldn't have to match the guy coming back if both teams had money available. *cough*lakers*cough*
  18. QUOTE (oldsox @ Mar 28, 2016 -> 07:12 PM) You use "sick days" so you can watch baseball games when not sick? And then you post on the internet to that effect? Jobs dont normally let you keep your sick days, so use them how you please
  19. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Mar 29, 2016 -> 07:40 AM) I hope that Gasol doesn’t come back. He’s a solid player, but the Bulls need to get younger and build for the future. Yea this is a nice thought. I wish Gar had it when he could have traded Gasol and Snell to the Kings at the Deadline for McLemore and Koufos and a lower draft protection. You know, to get younger and build for the future
  20. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Mar 28, 2016 -> 09:38 PM) sarcasm? Moi?
  21. QUOTE (Cknolls @ Mar 28, 2016 -> 01:57 PM) From a student at Harvard: In a class I attended earlier this semester, a large portion of the first meeting was devoted to compiling a list of rules for class discussion. A student contended that as a woman, she would be unable to sit across from a student who declared that he was strongly against abortion, and the other students in the seminar vigorously defended this declaration. The professor remained silent. In a recent conversation with peers, I posed a question about a verse from the Bible. A Harvard employee in the room immediately interjected, informing me that we were in a safe space and I was thus not permitted to discuss the controversial biblical passage. And these are just stories from the past three months. Keep up the good work Liberals.... saw it on the internet. seems legit
