QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Mar 28, 2016 -> 12:42 PM) I just saw that quick little clip in the trailer. I've never read any of the Civil War stuff from Marvel. It's a little more nazi-esque people registering than it is protecting ourselves from alien threats

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Mar 28, 2016 -> 11:43 AM) Yeah, superheroes kill people in just about every movie and a ton in comic books. I'm sick of that argument. The opening scene in Superman/Batman was one of my favorite. It shows the consequences of a super hero and super villain fighting in a large city. People are getting killed, it was unique way to look at a giant fight like that. I think Age of Ultron should have done something similar when the city was being raised into the sky. They actually might talk more about that in Civil War. Um, of course it is being talked about. In the trailer they are talking about it, that is the impetus for the Sokovia Accords

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Mar 28, 2016 -> 10:23 AM) Hey, I didn't say I was super excited about the deal. He will help them stretch the field a little, but he is so hit or miss with his play. Just giving you s***

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Feb 19, 2016 -> 03:49 PM) Laurinaitis was PFF second worst graded ILB last year. Cook hasn't caught a TD in 19 games. Long hasn't been healthy in three years and is 30. Big name players, but little production. I can see why the Rams cut them.

that isnt rhetorical, thats a pretty straightforward question. I believe they can co-exist

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Mar 28, 2016 -> 08:31 AM) Batman vs Superman was a pretty big mess, but I still enjoyed it for the most part. There was some stuff I really liked and other things I thought were really dumb. The thing that ended up bothering the most was that Metropolis and Gotham were right next to each other. I thought that was really odd. In my head, I always pictured them on a map kind of like Springfield is on the simpsons. Whenever it is time to pinpoint exactly where it is at, it gets obscured lol It is strange though, you would think there would be a lot of Superman/Batman overlap

QUOTE (bshah723 @ Mar 27, 2016 -> 01:21 PM) $424 million dollars this weekend. Making it the highest grossing comic book movie of all time. Seems like critics and sox talk hate the movie but the world still went to go watch. Next few weeks like Balta said the numbers will more than likely drop due to bad reception. It's not a movie for everyone, but watching the trinity on screen together is/was amazing. Bring on suicide squad baby!!! Let's see how a non synder movie is made. I love David Ayers work. Maybe highest grossing opening weekend? But even that I have to question, I know domestically they came in 4th all time

I agree with balta but also agree with Dick, there is simply no way that Hoiberg will be fired one year in. They aren't gonna be paying three head coaches at once next year

Some strange commentary about Rodon in that thread

QUOTE (ozzfest @ Mar 27, 2016 -> 01:41 AM) I got absolutely demolished on this board for posting my Chicago Front Office Rankings. I put the Bulls FO last behind the Blackhawks, Cubs, Bears, and Sox. Those rankings look pretty accurate now don't they? Also, I wonder where all the people are who were hating on my "The Bulls' biggest problem is John Paxson and Gar Forman" thread. The Paxson apologists have nothing else to say. Out of excuses for a mediocre player who made a couple of clutch shots riding the coattails of the greatest of all time. 15+ years of mediocre/garbage basketball. Can't wait for White Sox baseball to start up in a few weeks... You got blasted because you kept repeating the same stupid bulls*** and bumping your thread so you could repeat it again. Nobody cares

@kcjhoop Hoiberg: "Obviously, what I’m saying right now, my message is getting across. We’re going to sit in a room and hopefully get it figured out"

QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Mar 25, 2016 -> 07:29 PM) A number of reviews have said Ben Affleck is one of the highlights. Do you agree with that sentiment? I have been pulling for an older Batman for a while. I don't mind an older Batman but I found it to be a strange decision to start the Justice League with a Batman significantly older than the other members

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 25, 2016 -> 03:26 PM) More: WWE Diva Brie Bella will be retiring sooner than she originally planned … Pro Wrestling Sheet has learned the wrestler is hanging up her boots following the RAW after WrestleMania. Sources with direct knowledge tell us there’s no bad blood between WWE and Daniel Bryan — the recent appearances he pulled out of are due to a health issue. It’s unclear what the issue is at this point, but we’re told it’s the reason Brie wasn’t at RAW this week. She is probably preggo -

QUOTE (iWin4Ron @ Mar 25, 2016 -> 02:45 PM) I recently began playing wwe 2k14 and have been enjoying it. CM Punk has always been an interesting character and a great wrestler so I began looking through his storylines. Namely, the MITB here in Chicago vs. John Cena struck out to me. I kept reading online and have been finding various quotes, articles, etc. about Punk. Can anyone fill me in on why WWE and Punk can no longer co exist? Punk seems mad at WWE for not pushing him correctly? Does Punk dislike the fact that Cena is the superman character? Just any general information here for fun would be cool. Thanks Listen to Colt Cabanas podcast with punk, you will hear everything you need to know from Punks side -
QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Mar 25, 2016 -> 08:42 AM) How did the roster quit last year? If Pau does not get hurt there is a good chance they beat he Cavs. Hoiberg and Gar should both be shown the door and not certain how Paxson stays. That final game against the Cavs, they definitely quit. Other than that, I don't see it

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 24, 2016 -> 11:32 AM) How has no one in the Chicago media blasted Hoiberg? Or have they and I am just ignorant? The score destroys him daily, KC Johnson and Vincent Goodwill I think try to be diplomatic because of their connections, Cowley is sly about his criticism because he is so focused on the front office problems. I'm unsure about ESPN because I don't listen to ESPN radio nor go to the website much anymore

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Mar 24, 2016 -> 10:59 AM) Thibs' refusal to hire an offensive assistant (which could be retaliation for Adams), but wasn't Ron Adams fired in response due to criticizing the FO? Also, Thibs messed up by having JVG go to war on national television. JR would have defended him otherwise. Thibs was hamstrung and already knew his job was gone by the time JVG started talking s***. And Adams was fired after Gar started his bulls*** power play and refused to listen to his coach when it came to drafting. And he had every right to be pissed when he got Teague and wanted Draymond. And in the end Gar got what he wanted, and aren't we all happy for it.
-
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Mar 24, 2016 -> 10:40 AM) +1 Both Thibs and Gar are to blame for that split, not one or the other like people love to pretend. Disagree. People knew Thibs was weird, a basketball junkie, stubborn. The Bulls hired him with all of these things being known and then all the sudden these things bother them. Gar fires his right hand man, hires Jen Swanson to tell him who is allowed to play and how much, and then basically openly courted Hoiberg while Thibs was still coaching. I'm not even gonna count the supposed meeting where Gar told the team to listen to themselves and not Thibs. You can lay a small amount of blame at Thibs feet but not much.
