  1. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ Apr 29, 2016 -> 11:50 PM) That is not going to end well. I'm not trying to be constantly negative or "miserable" when I write these things, but Kyle Long is overrated. Bears fans like to pretend that because he's achieved the mostly meaningless Pro Bowl designation a few times Long is really in that elite company. He's really not though. At guard? Maybe, he's a pretty good guard but I wouldn't call him elite. He was definitely mediocre at RT last year. That experiment should be over. Hawt taek
  2. QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 29, 2016 -> 10:47 PM) So he was the KyYle of the Punisher movie? Low blow
  3. QUOTE (Brian @ Apr 29, 2016 -> 10:18 PM) Don't tell Jemele Hill that! Watch the Bears get him tomorrow. I wouldn't be surprised if they did, they have plenty of opportunities
  4. Travolta wasn't good as Howard Saint. IMO everything was good about the Thomas Jane Punisher except the villain, and it dragged the movie down
  5. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ Apr 29, 2016 -> 08:37 PM) I guess Ted Larson and Manny Ramirez are feeling even more redundant. I guess OL depth is redundant, because these guys never get hurt, right?
  6. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Apr 29, 2016 -> 08:27 PM) I do not Luke Buck Showalter I don't Luke Buck Showalter either
  7. Lmao. Keyboard warrior GMs are the bestest kind
  8. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ Apr 29, 2016 -> 02:41 PM) ugh don't remind me... Kevin White has done nothing for the Bears as a #7 overall pick. He's a bust until further notice, and we don't know how much the Bears knew or didn't know about his shin because they are such an untrustworthy organization. He can still turn it around, he's about the same age Floyd is, but we all can sense where that one is headed. As for Floyd, he's a rail thin player that won't be able to stand up to NFL OL unless he gets on those sweet, sweet NFL roids for a year. At which point he'll be 25 and have only 2 or 3 years left at his physical peak. Not that I think it will matter, the guy couldn't produce in college despite being older than most of his competition. Oh wait nvn that's the coaches fault my bad. LOL
  9. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Apr 29, 2016 -> 01:35 PM) Hey guys. Everyone is freaking out over a #5 starter. R-E-L-A-X The guy has 4 of the teams 7 losses, and really has looked terrible each time. Nobody is freaking out, just stating the obvious. Time to move on
  10. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ Apr 29, 2016 -> 12:21 PM) A guy who only had 4.5 sacks as a 23 year old in NCAA? And the Bears trade UP to get him? I have heard multiple analysts call in the score today and say that Georgia really did not use him to maximize his talents, and lined him up all over the field. And he went to prep school after high school which is why he is older
  11. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 29, 2016 -> 11:05 AM) For some reason I am worried about this team spiraling downward quick. Please win lol what
  12. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Apr 29, 2016 -> 10:18 AM) What did he say (or is just Derrick Rose level stupid)? a lot of short answers, dead air, simple answers. Not unlike Rose at the beginning
  13. QUOTE (whtsoxfan @ Apr 29, 2016 -> 10:30 AM) Why is Derrick Henry still available?! because he is a Alabama RB and a heisman. Kiss of death
  14. Leonard Floyd just had a cringeworthy interview on Goff and Spiegel
  15. they hustled Tunsil out of that press conference with the quickness when he admitted taking money
  16. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 29, 2016 -> 01:49 AM) I challenge you to find Whitlock's columns on the Missouri situation. He is an incredible writer about race. I challenge you to find the columns that interest you, highlight the link, paste the link to this page, pull out quotes, and discuss them and tell us why you find this race baiter to be such an incredible writer about race.
  17. Time to shake off that losing feeling and get back on track
  18. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 05:12 PM) Volgelbach is such an utterly random player to have such a bizarre fascination with. And apparently if you don't want him, you are in love with Sands
  19. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 03:13 PM) Aside from the fact and reality that these trades for sluggers rarely work, and usually are terrible, there is also this reality with the Sox roster. We lose 2 starters, 2 catchers and our CF after this year. We lose our 2B and 3B after next year. And those won't be easy to fill. It will only be harder if you waste scarce pieces on another 1/2 or 1.5 year player. Just because their contracts expire does not mean we lose them. Other contracts can be offered. Thats kind of how it works
  20. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 01:17 PM) I stand corrected. So the fake report that got blasted a week or two ago evidently wasn't fake. The problem is, he could give you a couple of really high quality years. Considering that NFL career average lengths arent that long, is it worth it?
  21. well, this is not ideal
  22. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 01:06 PM) That was a bogus medical report. No one has had a bad thing to say about his knees (supposedly). Greg Gabriel just said on the score that he probably wont get to his second NFL contract. It is real, those knees arent gonna last long http://nypost.com/2016/04/27/myles-jack-ri...about-his-knee/ from the horses mouth
  23. I hope Jack isnt still on the board at 11, that guys knees are scary
  24. QUOTE (SoxSteve @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 12:18 PM) How are you sacrificing defense? You don't think Voglebach can play 10 games a year at first? And Frazier can play some first so you can put Saladino at 3rd when that happens. And who says anything about getting rid of Saladino? And did see Sands at first the other day? Not good. The only question here is would you rather have the right handed hitting Sands on your roster or the left handed hitting Voglebach? Sands is very easily replaceable player on the roster. Because you are taking two players, Avi and Vogelbach, and using them both for one position, and removing any sort of flexibility that robin has with the bench because now he has TWO players that cant play defense, and MAYBE one of them can hit his weight. I am willing to bet Sands is better than Vogelbach and Avi combined playing the outfield, which means he knows what a glove is and how to use it. But you seem content to just throw him in there because....well i dont really know why because the guy hasnt really proved anything in the minors. Cool bat flip tho QUOTE (SoxSteve @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 12:51 PM) Well if you want to see Avi and Sands at DH then i understand. If you want to give up one of our top 3 minor leaguers to get Cargo or Bruce then i understand. And you think we have to give up serious assets for a guy who hasn't seen a major league clubhouse and is ranked like 15th to 20th in their System? Wow they do have a AWESOME system Apprarently, lol. And Schwarber didnt see a major league clubhouse either and that turned out pretty good. I'm saying Voglebach is the 2nd coming but he is attainable without draining our minor leagues. Schwarber raked at every level he stopped at. Not even close to the same
  25. QUOTE (SoxSteve @ Apr 28, 2016 -> 11:16 AM) Voglebach is strictly a DH and not a good fielding backup ist baseman. That's all. And I'm not saying he is the answer but he has a good OBP and power and he will come a lot cheaper than any of the other guys like Bruce or Cargo. And HE WILL BE TRADED at some point in his career to a American League team so why not now and why not us? Believe me Theo doesn't care if its the Sox or whoever he just wants the best return. I think he would be great with us and we don't have to sacrifice defense and the minor leagues to acquire him. A Voglebach- Avi lefty/ righty DH combo doesn't sound half bad. With Eaton doing a great job in right Avi really doesn't have a position and i would take Voglebach over him as DH for sure. They are absolutely sacrificing defense with a Vogelbach-Avi DH platoon. Neither of those guys can field their positions competently, and you are removing a bench player like Saladino or Sands who can actually play their positions and hit competently. You act like Vogelbach is a sure thing, just plug and play. This guy hasnt proven anything
