QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Mar 18, 2016 -> 08:43 AM) Eaton speaking out on his personal Twitter account is about free speech which is why I brought it up. The point is that I respect the fact that Eaton has the right to say what he likes on his Twitter account ( free speech ) but the LaRoche issue is one that should have remained in the clubhouse until LaRoche made his final decision and all the facts were out, which not all the facts are out yet. Nobody has restricted Eatons right to say anything on Twitter, that doesn't mean a team rep shouldn't tell Eaton that he needs to be a little bit more edited in what he says on Twitter so they don't have to keep putting out these small fires that keep getting set all over the place Citing "free speech!" is wrong

QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Mar 18, 2016 -> 07:44 AM) False. As the title of the thread says, he created it. Nothing about them actually talking about a trade. no, he is saying that. We know he made that s*** up, but that does mean he isnt presenting this as if its true and hoping it catches on. "Rumblings that Hanley Ramirez could be sent to the White Sox" is saying that

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 11:51 AM) He has his kid out there all the time. Even brings him to press conferences, which I guess is considered cute and not annoying to the press. Oh does his son sit on the bench during games? I didnt know that

QUOTE (ChicagoHeel @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 11:41 AM) HAHA even ex WWE stars getting in on this, he even called Laroche a hero ! What a joke. CoachVerified account @CMPunk Good for LaRoche. Coach @CMPunk 57m57 minutes ago Blocking people who have a s*** opinion on a guy doing what's best for his family. LaRoche is a hero. Well this is a guy who enjoys an anti-establishment storyline

QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 10:51 AM) You know I love a fellow Cubs homer He has been on the wrong side of Twitter arguments a few times in the last month. He freaked out about the Lovie hire and refused to acknowledge that the Cubs did the same thing with Maddon

QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 10:35 AM) Kaplan said last night it was Hahn and Ventura who said it was fine last year Kaplan is a blowhard

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 10:14 AM) The more I hear about this, the more it falls on KW for handling it badly. There are only a few ways this could have started... 1. Kenny did this fully on his own. That's bad - he really shouldn't be interfering in the clubhouse that way. Leave that to the manager, coaches and players. 2. A player (or players) went to KW about it. This is also bad in terms of what it says about Ventura and the players involved. But either way, even if this is what happened, KW's response should have been to go to Ventura, agree on a plan, and have Ventura handle it. Not KW. 3. A player went to Ventura, who escalated it to KW. Same as #2, Ventura should be the one to handle it. It's not about the decision - which was a reasonable and professional one. It is the way it was handled, which sounds like, badly by KW. To be honest, KW should have handled it because it appears KW ok-ed the situation in the first place. I dont think LaRoche asked Ventura if it was ok and if his kid could have a locker, it was very likely he asked Hahn and KW

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 08:15 AM) Wish they replaced the kicker instead He still can be. I think his leash will be a lot shorter next season. This past season was rebuilding

Sting calling it quits. Really sucks that the neck injury happened http://www.foxsports.com/wwe/story/sting-r...-reports-031716 cervical spinal stenosis is no joke, thats why Edge had to quit -
QUOTE (daa84 @ Mar 16, 2016 -> 07:50 PM) I generally can't complain about what pace has done, but could the Bears have sold lower on Bennett and Marshall? Hard to sell high on Bennett, last year of his deal, he has been somewhat of a malcontent since before last season and everyone knew he wanted out and the Bears wanted him gone

QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Mar 16, 2016 -> 02:17 PM) Disagree. MLB clubhouse is no place for a kid. I dont think what they did was wrong, but there will be the riteous writers who will rail against it. I think allowing it in the first place was wrong, though

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 16, 2016 -> 09:28 AM) I wasn't impressed with it either. Decent, but clearly below many of the historic Pixar movies. there were all kinds of problems in production, its not a surprise that it ended up subpar
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 16, 2016 -> 10:37 AM) The Bulls have had injuries before, but this year has been the worst for them. No, when Joakim Noah is the focus point of your entire offense and Nate Robinson is your scoring threat, that is the worst of it.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 16, 2016 -> 10:30 AM) And this year you've had no Noah, Dunleavy out for months, Butler out for an extended period (and now with residual issues potentially), Gasol, Rose and Taj out here and there, Niko out a month. They're relying on guys like Moore and Holiday. How many times has Hoiberg had the expected starting 5 going into the season? A handful? Thibs got wins because he ground it out. Fine, i'm not arguing that. But was that team any better? No. Did he do some amazing coaching job? No. Did he deserve to be fired? Yes. Here are the games played for the starting 5 plus Taj Gibson 62 Games Rose 51 Games Dunleavy 63 Games BUtler 65 Games Noah 67 Games Gasol 78 Games So outside of Gasol, the starting 5 averaged about 20 games missed, not a game here and there, plus the guy who was supposed to be the new scoring threat in McDermott missing pretty much the entire year with a bad knee. Thibs had such great reserves as Nazr, Moore, and Snell to put in there with a few awesome starts from the Australian when Noah and Taj went down at the same time. Did Thibs have the same injury issues? Yes. Did he get forced out for a lesser coach who would do what the FO told him? Yes. Have the minutes changed at all since Hoiberg took over? No.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 16, 2016 -> 10:00 AM) Losing 3/5th's of your starting line-up (plus your 6th man) is more difficult than 1/5th, IMO. 1/5? Come on man, Noah was on one leg, Taj was out for long periods of time for his ankle, Dunleavy was out for like 3 months, Butler hyperextended his elbow and missed more than a month Your argument is tired, bad, and wrong
-
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 16, 2016 -> 09:36 AM) Injuries have nothing to do with that. Correct, because both coaches dealt with them

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 16, 2016 -> 07:21 AM) Why do people continue to respond to Greg? This is one of life's great mysteries to me. Once a month I get curious if he will respond
