  1. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 5, 2016 -> 01:55 PM) Don't blame you, especially when Kasich would win it all if he was the nominee. Weird. What does this nonsense even mean, the guy isn't even in SECOND in his own party. You think if he got the nomination all the sudden this wave of support would come out and give him the White House? You should stick to your Chelsea Clinton thoughts
  2. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 5, 2016 -> 02:18 PM) I tend to agree with you, that said intangibles are more important at certain positions. For example, I think intangibles and ability to read and react to a defense are a lot more important than measurables when it comes to QB. A QB has to do certain things to be able to succeed (i.e., I could be the smartest person at reading a defense on the planet but my noodle arm can't possibly make the throws to actually execute). But how often are the most physically gifted QB's the best actual QB's, not near as often as we think. Of course QB tends to be the one position I feel that way. I view intangibles as potential reasons not to draft a player vs. reasons to draft a player (i.e., the downside of intangibles keeps you away from a guy vs. the "upside" which I feel is just gravy). No one would ever say that Tom Brady, Drew Brees or Peyton Manning were ever the most physically impressive QB's in the league, but they over the past 15 years, they were arguably the most successful. On the flipside, Kyle Boller, Matthew Stafford, Jay Cutler, Jeff George, etc were absolute physical specimen (even someone like Kaep is physically extremely gifted as it comes to QB's). Some exceptions to this rule are Aaron Rodgers and Brett Favre, who clearly were amongst the most physically gifted and best QB's in the league (and Cam can join that group if he continues to do what he's done lately). That said, what sets the best QB's apart is there ability to read defenses, make quick decisions, and throw accurately (which is a physical skill). As long as they have "enough" arm, they will be fine. But the read defenses and make quick decisions are critical and even the throw accurately is followed by throw to the right spot (so not only making the right decision on who to throw to but where to throw to them based upon the coverage, etc). Hell, when you look at Brady, Brees and even Rodgers, they all got significantly better between college and the pro's. There is definitely a balance. He just comes off as a guy that would scratch a guy off the board because he heard one coach say that the guy wasnt a coachable guy, regardless of his on field results. Sometimes you gotta draft an asshole
  3. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Apr 5, 2016 -> 02:16 PM) Try disagreeing with him on twitter. I guarantee he calls you an idiot because you never spent a 1st rounder on Rex Grossman. I dont doubt that he talks down to us laymen on twitter, but I have heard him admit he has been wrong. Thats all i am saying
  4. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Apr 5, 2016 -> 01:13 PM) He's an asshole though. He should be a valuable resource for the many young guys interested in the draft. Many people "scout" players and create their own websites and draft guides. Gabriel talks down to most of them like they are idiots. There are many Greg Gabriel's littered throughout the league which is why there is still a ton of antiquated old thinking that leads to teams being bad year after year. Greg Gabriel has never been wrong before. Just ask him. i disagree with this, he was on B&B this past season and they had him research names that he thought were going to be stars and were misses, and he came back the next week with a good long list. He does hold his opinion in high regard, but you have to imagine that it is an inherent trait in a good scout, to have a big ego about what they do. My only fault with him is he really feels that the intangibles are more important than measurables.
  5. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 03:54 PM) Finally saw Winter Soldier...it was awesome. Was Ant Man any good? Looks horrific from the previews I had saw but curious what the consensus was? What did you think of all of the Rainbows and Unicorns in Winter Soldier
  6. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 12:41 PM) So he never used it. He tried to use it. They built that up for a months, getting gifts from legends. What was even the point? I know, it was dumb that it got one whiff. But I would have been rather surprised if he actually used Lucille
  7. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 09:42 AM) They both suck. America's obesity and diabetes problems start with these damned carbonated sugar drinks. Just say no. Lol, you might as well just say no to everything at the ballpark
  8. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 08:04 AM) I wouldn't say worst ever but it'd definitely be in my top 3 worst ever. I hate how every WM they just have to give The Rock an appearance. They had an opportunity to give the Wyatt's a big reaction and they actually had it. The Rock complimented Bray specifically and the crowd started cheering, only to then revert back to the same old garbage in terms of name calling and making fun of them. I'm sick of hearing how he's a draw. Those 101k tickets would have been sold regardless and it's not like WWEN subscriptions were renewed for him. They really made Ambrose out to look like a p****. I understand that the F5 is devastating but for a lunatic who never quits, the match sure ended quickly. Do they ever let this guy get a big win, anyway? Plus, why even give him that spot on Raw where he loaded up the wheel barrow? Did he even use any of those weapons? I know the chainsaw wasn't going to happen, but he never used the bat or the steps. Nothing. They probably should have had HHH/Reigns on the pre-show. It sounds dumb and it likely sounds as an exaggeration, but nobody really care about that match and it's sad when the majority of fans wanted the 40+ year old boss to beat the young, "up and comer." If I was Ryback and Kalisto, I'd feel like s***. They cut out of my match for a Shane/Taker promo? My goodness. That Shane spot was unreal. I pretty much called it prior to the match yet there was something about that match that just seemed off. Shane got a Last Ride and Chokeslam yet he kicked out right at 2, not selling it, and those kick-out's and finishers got no reaction from the crowd. I also have no idea where they go with this angle now. At least if Shane won, he'd then have control of the company and could just reinstate Undertaker. Now, do we have to sit through the same old s*** with Stephanie and HHH every Monday? Giving Zack Ryder the IC belt is cool and a nice change of pace, but what kind of s*** is that? Will he even hold it for more than a month? About 3 months ago, the guy was getting decimated by anyone in about 15 second He used the bat right before he got pinned, swung and missed
  9. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 07:02 AM) I was gona ask if that was even possible. Skipping AAA and going straight to the majors Sure it is, you arent obligated to hit every step of the minors before going to the Majors. If they think you are ready, then you come up from whatever level you are at
  10. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Apr 4, 2016 -> 07:43 AM) The Bull aren't playing for a draft pick. They're still playing for a playoff spot.... and truthfully, there is only 5 games left and they are right at .500. There really isnt going to be a huge draft pick slot swing that is affected by their play

    DC Films

http://screenrant.com/batman-v-superman-go...d-2-box-office/ Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice repeated in the #1 spot with $52.3 million in its second weekend. That is a staggering 68.4 percent decrease from its record-breaking opening, a figure steeper than the one Man of Steel saw in 2013.
  12. QUOTE (scs787 @ Apr 2, 2016 -> 02:52 PM) I really think the Bears should look to try and trade down anyway, so if they can trade down AND add Mo, that would be incredible. I don't care if it means they have to lose Cutler and/or Jeffery next year to make it work cap wise (shouldn't have to anyway). I would even throw in one of the Bears 4th rounders or potentially a 3rd to make that happen. You would be willing to flip the 11th for the 20th, throw in a 3rd or fourth, and lose Cutler and Jeffery for a one year rental? And let's not forget, Wilkerson broke his leg on January 3rd
  13. QUOTE (Tony @ Apr 1, 2016 -> 02:06 PM) Had some time to kill yesterday while traveling, decided to give an old one a spin and watched "Boogie Nights" for the first time in about 5 years. I think that is a Top 5 movie for the 90's. It's really that good to me. Boogie Nights never gets old to me, so many great performances in that movie.
  14. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 31, 2016 -> 06:18 PM) The Bulls have had an at least 3 game losing streak 6 times this season. They had 6 losing streaks of 3 games or more total in the 5 seasons Thibs coached the team. Also DRose has played more games this year than the 3 previous seasons combined. INJURIES! THIBS FAULT! CHAMPIONSHIP ROSTER!
  15. QUOTE (LDF @ Mar 31, 2016 -> 07:26 PM) if i understand, if there was a weight clause, then bos can enforce by what ever the language of the contract says. whether it is no money or reduce salary. what is really needed is a hard weight clause, either you meet a certain weight or no money. His contract is signed, he has four more years of no weight clause. There is no reason for him to just give them a reason to withhold money
  16. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Mar 31, 2016 -> 03:54 PM) Cut from the worst pitching staff in the AL, if not MLB. But the grass is always greener.... Yea the same front office that sent Arrietta away for Scott Feldman. Nobody is saying trade away your precious mediocre prospects, but rather negotiate with him when he clears waivers
  17. There is also rumors that Nikki Minaj's camp leaked the tape because of their beef with Azalea, which begs the question how did they get a copy
  18. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 31, 2016 -> 12:51 PM) I'm not defending Young but I'd be pissed if someone secretly recorded a conversation I had with them on anything. Completely pissed. To do it in the lockeroom and than have it leaked is even worse. In no way am I defending Young. Cheating scumbag and he'll get what he's deserved but Russell f***ed up royally too and should never have secretly recorded a conversation between two people in the lockeroom. That violates all code of the lockeroom. I can only imagine how everyone would be ripping LaRoche or Eaton if he had done something similar. I was watching an NFL show yesterday and every single player (black, white, defense, oline, etc)...this included hall of famer Jerome Bettis (plus Jeff Saturday and a few others) and they all absolutely ripped Russel and said if that happened in there lockeroom, things would have been much worse than the Lakers shunning him, but beyond that, you would never ever trust the player again (and that isn't just on the Lakers, no player will have that trust because it has been violated). Minor nitpick, but I believe it happened in the hotel room they were sharing, not the locker room
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 31, 2016 -> 12:42 PM) BullsKickAss ‏@Bullskickass Lets all remember that this front office never makes trades so you don't have to worry about them trading Butler. The Bulls traded Hinrich. So there
  20. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 31, 2016 -> 12:28 PM) Never said anyone here did. I just said it seemed pretty obvious that trouble would occur. Maybe the Red Sox thought they could get 2 or 3 years out of him before it happened, but they got nothing. Many times teams get burned, but at least you could see where a signing made sense. This one was crazy. And it was compounded by the HanRam signing and subsequent failing
  21. QUOTE (shysocks @ Mar 31, 2016 -> 12:14 PM) Was lukewarm on it due to Semien and rental nature. Here, I'll save you further effort. Lol I love that you are actually looking
  22. QUOTE (shysocks @ Mar 31, 2016 -> 11:59 AM) Wasn't wrong about anything in there sooo... To the Samardzija thread now
  23. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 31, 2016 -> 11:51 AM) Jimmy Butler is a star player in this league, very clearly. He isn't a superstar player, but he is one of the best two way players in the game today. I think thats what SP18 was trying to say. He is not untouchable, especially for a player with Russells talent level
  24. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Mar 31, 2016 -> 11:53 AM) I'm guessing Leno. Slauson is a beast and extremely cheap for the level he produces at. Chiefs are trying to trade RB Knile Davis. Leno for Davis? Nile Davis is a great kick returner, fast as could be, and would be a good change of pace back with Langford and Carey. No rumor of this, just throwing it out there. I think the Bears are good at RB right now, I think they might try and swing for a draft pick if they deal Leno
