  5. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 15, 2015 -> 08:14 AM) I think we have heard this before. Like, in 2003 with that young dominant starting staff

  7. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 15, 2015 -> 08:39 AM) Yeah, the banner jinx thing isn't real. Abreu was the banner for the whole 2014 season and he was just fine, as was Sale this year. Yea I dont really care what you think either
  8. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 15, 2015 -> 08:32 AM) Fantastic Four film rights are back with Marvel. Fox finally said Uncle! where did you see that?
  9. I am all for nobody in the banner. It seems like a partial jinx
  10. QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Oct 14, 2015 -> 10:20 PM) You're right, he did but was wrong on Cueto. So where does that leave the house betting market now? He was wrong on the score too, lol. THE HOUSING MARKET IS OPEN AND READY. HOUSES BY THE DOZEN!
  11. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 14, 2015 -> 01:45 AM) Any predictions? I say Stros 7, Royals 2. Cueto is the addition that didn't pan out.
  12. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 14, 2015 -> 08:44 PM) Greg's remarkable streak about never being right about anything may continue. So many houses will change hands tonite and now Alex Gordon will make 30 million a year for his obp (whooptie doo obp)
  13. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Oct 14, 2015 -> 07:25 PM) Better yet, Bryant/Schwarber/Soler/Rizzo all attired in Sox jerseys. Then SoxTalk can make the national news like McNally's did last week. Omg that is just hilarious!
  14. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Oct 14, 2015 -> 05:41 PM) The rule is that is still a live ball if the ump thinks there was no intent of the batter to get in the way of the catcher. At least that is what they said on the TV broadcast a few times. I don't think Choo had any intent of getting in the way, I feel like he does that same move all the time. The thing is, the ump immediately throws his hands up and signals dead ball. You can't do that and then say play on, that's not fair to the defenders Holy defensive meltdown batman
  15. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Oct 14, 2015 -> 05:33 PM) It wasn't over the plate. The bat was still in the batters box. That was straddling the line if anything, imo that should have been a dead ball
  16. QUOTE (LDF @ Oct 14, 2015 -> 04:04 PM) so out of all these posters who post on the recurring item you choose.... unless you are the owner of this site, deal with it or block me. The thing is, it is false. The white sox aren't cheap, they spend money. It doesn't matter which member says it, it is false
  17. QUOTE (South Sider @ Oct 14, 2015 -> 11:49 AM) Rick Hahn quote from WLS White Sox Weekly podcast: "Parents a good baseball man and its unfortunate that we did feel we had to make a change in large part because of the performance and some of the elements inside the clubhouse.. which ultimately he bore responsibility for." Nice backhanded compliment
  18. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Oct 14, 2015 -> 11:07 AM) Gents - I updated my post accordingly. I don't have access to twitter so go off what others say so corrected since it was Dickerson and Clayton and it sounded more like it was Clayton just saying "I've heard those reports vs. necessarily confirming them as true"). LOOK, YOU WERE WRONG AND IT IS OUR FORUM DUTY TO REPEATEDLY TELL YOU THAT
  19. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Oct 14, 2015 -> 10:39 AM) Leming never said that there was. John Clayton said it apparently. Ian Rapoport says it's totally false and he wants to be on the field with his teammates. Agreed, Leming actually pointed out that it was incorrect(clayton saying there is beef) and then used Rapaport to show that he wasnt the only one saying it
  20. i just dont think people can trust the K Zone like they want to. You are looking at an imaginary box set up by the tv station at an angle, it is not an infallible judgement of the strikezone. That doesnt mean the umpires havent had their moments, but I think people freak out more because of what the K zone shows them
  21. @AaronLemingNFL: #Bears are expected to promote ILB Jonathan Anderson to the 53-man roster. Could mean McClellin will miss some time.
  22. All that is fine and good with the helmets and stuff, but Charles injury was completely untouched. And so was Jordy Nelsons. A lot of these injuries happen just from cuts on the field
  23. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 13, 2015 -> 08:20 AM) You would think so. But this is the white sox so I doubt it. I'm hoping a may 1st leash, tops. we all know this leash is bungee cord and there is a ton of slack in it
  24. i wouldnt be surprised to see the yankees open up the wallet for Price
  25. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 12, 2015 -> 10:53 PM) A few comments. ... • Down by four runs, the Royals were dead, I thought. KC fans on Twitter were all over Yost and Rios. • I will give Rios credit. He got the first of the six singles (one was not a single but error at ss but it took a funny hop on the certain DP). • Hosmer goes from s*** to stroking a key single then a huge HR for insurance? Pretty impressive. • Royals overcome the weird call at 3B on Gore? Impressive. I will say this. The Royals' comeback proves most fans complaints are just people blabbering at the mouth. All the Royals critics when the team was down four runs. One guy wrote Ned should be fired for not having a sense of urgency the last month. One guy was incensed that Ned was playing Rios. Many were mad at Rios. Some were furious about the Cueto trade, saying thanks Dayton, Cueto did nothing and now the Royals are out several young players. Blah blah blah ... it's like Al Davis said, "Just Win Baby." And when Roy Williams was at kansas he said: "The best/only way to shut everybody up is to win. Win and people have to shut their frickin mouths." QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 12, 2015 -> 01:45 AM) Hey I texted my obsessed Royals friend today when Hosmer weakly tapped out with runners on first and second and two out in the sixth and KC down 1-0. I said, "I'm sad for you, but that's probably the game." The magic isn't there this year. Call it the "curse of Rios." KC doesn't have "it" this year. the bullpen isn't as good with Holland gonzo. Moose and Hosmer are hitting like .100 and .200 for the playoff series so far. Cain crushed that home run to go up 1-0 and I thought KC just needs to get through this series playing poorly and maybe ultimately find themselves again. They are all outta sorts. I'll tell you one thing. BET THE HOUSE. Ventura will be awful today. He's not gonna suddenly turn into an Ace Ventura and mow down Houston. That's not in the cards, at least this season. Poor KC. They needed to pull an Ozzie last year when they had a chance and win it all in their one trip to the WS like we did. The magic is gone in KC. Rios was an awful addition; they should be playing one of their speedsters in right. Gordon should be leading off. LOL at Ned and the Royals. They.Are.Done.
