  1. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Sep 28, 2015 -> 10:58 PM) This could very well be RG3's last season in Washington. If I am the Bears I'd definitely give him a shot here. He hasn't been all that bad IMO. Hell to the no. That guy is wrecked
  2. I like that Pace watched that game yesterday just like all of us and said "f*** this bulls***"
  3. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Sep 28, 2015 -> 03:31 PM) How did the Bears trade Jared Allen? Lol
  4. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Sep 28, 2015 -> 03:49 PM) Damn, the Bears already paid him 11.5 million this year. Thanks Phil!
  5. Rowand watches one thing in that movie. Everything outside that one thing, does not exist
  6. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Sep 28, 2015 -> 08:30 AM) Maybe it is because Fox is an old-fashioned ball coach, but this was my big take away. If you're serious about winning, go for it on 4th and 2, the odds are heavily in your favor. The defense played well, but just don't have to talent to keep up with Russell Wilson for 4 quarters. Fangio's coaching is definitely a bright spot. You mean they didnt have the energy to stay on the field because the Bears only managed 16 offensive plays in the second half. Russell Wilson really wasnt all that great yesterday, the defense just didnt have the wind to stay on the field for an entire half. Russell had a few good drives when the defense was done
  7. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 27, 2015 -> 09:55 PM) Ha. I guess Rizzo was luck, too? Getting Russell+ for a .500 pitcher was luck, too? Fowler/Montero/Coghlan? More luck, I guess. Rizzo wasn't luck, Rizzo was Hoyer pulling a fast one on the organization he had just left
  8. QUOTE (daa84 @ Sep 27, 2015 -> 08:51 PM) arrieta has always had talent, even when he struggled in Baltimore, but absolutely nothing about his career makes sense statistically. Only thing I've seen similar is halladay. Actually, he reminds me of Kluber last season. Out of nowhere untouchable
  9. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Sep 27, 2015 -> 06:58 PM) What have you seen from any of them? Their 1st rounder is going to miss the year, their 2nd rounder has done nothing, the 3rd and 6th rounders have been inactive for all 3 games, their 4th rounder got no snaps today and their 5th rounder looks like he could play *a little.* I know they need time but I'm not going to say I like anything about the draft. If they need draft picks, you trade Forte now. You also look in the mirror and figure out if Martellus and Alshon are on this team in 2017, because if the answer is no, trade them as well. You can't judge a draft in the first season, much less the first three games. I would love to see them all come in and be starters out of the gate but it just isn't realistic. I doubt Alshon or Martellus are traded, the NFL just doesn't do that no matter how much it makes sense. If either were to be traded it would have been around draft time
  10. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Sep 27, 2015 -> 05:27 PM) Bears may not win a game. Sure, if Clausen starts the rest of the season
  11. Why did they zoom in on Fuller when clearly Vereen blew the coverage and tackle?
  12. @ChicagoBears: #Bears DT Will Sutton will miss the rest of the game with a biceps injury. You called it Rock
  13. Fighting with the franchise golden boy doesn't bode well for playing on that team in the following season
  14. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 27, 2015 -> 04:40 PM) s***. That looks like a torn bicep for Sutton. Either that, or broken wrist or hyperextended elbow. His arm was trapped
  15. How do you have f***ing delay of game on the first f***ing play of the game
  16. Fox was just talking up Weeden like he is such a hidden gem, and then he throws a pick. Lol Looks like the Trestman offense is clicking on all cylinders
  17. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Sep 27, 2015 -> 11:20 AM) Okay - trade Quintana. No objection. But who takes Rodon's spot? Pass on rushing Fulmer (who needs to get his delivery straightened out) or Adams (who's a ways away). Of course teams have veterans. But winning teams aren't built with veterans. They plug a hole or two or provide depth. Building with vets is what the Sox tried to do and what the fans want them to do (I can't wait until Todd Frazier and Lucroy are put on the block this winter...the hero-worship will break records; and if someone mentions Longoria......). As for Eaton, I simply don't believe he plays to his offensive numbers. Thus, it would be a value trade. Thompson is a better CF than he is anyway. Okay, don't trade him for prospects. Trade him for an equivalent 3b. There's talent in this org. It needs time and the org needs more talent. You need a foundation first. There is talent, and you want to trade it for the hope of more talent. Always. And Fulmer is on the Sale/Rodon path. He is gonna have to suck hardcore next spring to spend next season in the minors
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 27, 2015 -> 12:22 PM) So the Steelers and Rams are delayed because the astroturf caught on fire. Pre game fireworks?

QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 27, 2015 -> 10:39 AM) Almost broke my computer turning it sideways to see the pics. Dumbass. I did that especially for you QUOTE (iamshack @ Sep 27, 2015 -> 09:45 AM) I can't take anymore dogs, but I think your wife has the same cookbook collection as mine The essential collection

  21. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Sep 27, 2015 -> 12:05 AM) Of course prospects flop. But how have those veterans worked out? Look at the playoff teams. Which built their team by looting their farm and trading for veterans? The Sox have done that for years, and it has a 100% failure rate. Young talent wins. The Sox staff is 15th in team ERA. Middle of the pack. That said, the Sox have a lot of pitching talent in the low minors....which is another reason they can trade a veteran. As for the timetable, Hahn and Williams pushed that back with their inane signing and trades for declining veterans before the foundation had been laid. (letting Cooper and Ventura run the operation hasn't helped either). As it is, my top suggestion is to trade Eaton, not a pitcher. I understand your aversion to veterans, but at some point you have to hold on to the young performing players. All you do is talk about flipping young players because of the boogeyman of veterans. Newsflash, veterans are on every team, even the young Cubs and the young royals and the young pirates. These other teams don't constantly flip their young players in order to acquire more, they hold on to them and build around them. That doesn't mean they shouldn't trade any young players if possible, but position players in this organization are few and far between, and now that the sox have one you want to flip him and hope that the return is equal. It probably won't be, and then the Sox will have to do something you hate to do, which is sign a veteran to plug a hole that was created for no reason. Quintana by far would generate the best return(outside of sale of course) and there is a player that is ready to step into his spot named Carlos Rodon. And what does this do? It creates opportunity for two young, homegrown players in Fulmer and Johnson.
  22. Balta, what is this big Mars news they are teasing?
