  1. I think that Edwin is what he is, a tremendously talented (overpaid) tease. He has been on a lot of staffs in his young career and the results have mostly stayed the same, which is consistent wildl flashes of brilliance and awful.
  2. That is just disgusting. You battle back to tie after a bad outing by Danks and 4 runs immediately given back
  3. QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 20, 2014 -> 10:46 AM) Pitcher pissed about 2-out bunt against shift w/ 2-run lead, calls it breach of etiquette Rasmus is an asshole, but come on now. I honestly cannot find fault in what Rasmus did. It wasn't a no hitter he was breaking up, they weren't blowing out the Rangers, it was an insurance run and Rasmus saw an opportunity
  4. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jul 19, 2014 -> 09:30 PM) Putnam has been really good. His splitter is awesome
  5. Law was against Abreu to the Sox? I don't remember that
  6. QUOTE (Tex @ Jul 19, 2014 -> 06:43 AM) I'm trying to understand why I and many others view these two types of events so differently. 1. A missal is shot at an airplane and innocent people are killed. 2. A missal is shot at a military target in a city and "collateral damage" occurs. In other words innocent people are killed. It seems fair to me to assume that whomever shot at that plane thought they were shooting at a military target making the Malaysian flight "collateral damage". I'm not saying we shouldn't be outraged, sad, and all the emotions we are feeling over this tragedy, but perhaps we should have a bit more outrage at "collateral damage"? How often did we shoot missals in Iraq and other countries knowing their would be "collateral damage"? I saw a map of the routes that different airlines were taking through that region. Some continued to fly over that airspace other avoided it. What possible reasons could you have to fly over the Ukraine? I'm guessing the answer will concern fuel costs. Supposedly they were routing around bad weather
  7. Ozzie can do no wrong to Greg. It's all Cowleys fault that Ozzie is basically angling for Robins job
  8. QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 18, 2014 -> 02:20 PM) offense still stands around and watches rose, bad offball movement, only one player who can create off the dribble, and the worst spacing in the league. We hope that's fixed, but we don't know. We are 2 months removed from scoring 68 points in a playoff game. This is just guessing. This is a different team, the squad that steps on the floor in a few months is going to be quite different than that playoff team
  9. I just want to say after listening to Pau and Nikos press conference, Spanish newspaper reporters are hilarious "Hi, i am from (spanish newspaper name), Welcome to Chicago! I want to know what you feel about Brazils national soccer team?"
  10. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 18, 2014 -> 01:08 PM) Sale is the number 1 pitcher CSIAA? Shirley, you must be joking
  11. lol, i like the commissioners office updates
  12. Wait, so Ubaldo Jimenez isnt working out?
  13. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 18, 2014 -> 09:32 AM) Do you guys remember when Dale Earnhardt made that sweet catch to save Marlon Brando's perfect game Shake n Bake baby
  14. I bet Krush has a very identifiable strike and out call. We have an awesome ump at AH, an older black guy who has a rollie fingers curly mustache. He yells "THAT....IS A STRIKE" and points in the air when he calls a strike, and does an emphatic out call on the bases. And he is a really good active ump, so his antics dont really rub people the wrong way
  15. QUOTE (scs787 @ Jul 18, 2014 -> 09:13 AM) Aaron Brooks is a competent backup imo.....but then again imo so is Kirk. Yea but contingency plans must be made for the times that Kirks left calf breaks or he breaks a pinky bone
  16. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Jul 18, 2014 -> 09:06 AM) DeWayne Weiss lol Duane Weis
  17. A competent backup is all i ask for. No reclamation projects. Gimme a CJ Watson without the 'tude
  18. QUOTE (oldsox @ Jul 18, 2014 -> 07:26 AM) slight exaggeration. Not really
  19. QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 17, 2014 -> 07:03 PM) Draft picks are always valuable. Lol. Well then why didn't the Lakers trade for the valuable picks?
  20. QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 17, 2014 -> 06:57 PM) To get picks. Bulls picks really aren't valuable going forward. Maybe the Sacramento pick if it breaks right. And even then, the Lakers aren't exactly a draft savvy organization
  21. The worst part is everyone knew he would be amnestied, so honestly why would the lakers sign and trade Pau for the contract, expiring or not? They waited him out and got him for peanuts
  22. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 17, 2014 -> 06:25 PM) He gets all his money. Yea the bulls are gonna pay the difference. Carlos is getting 16+ this year regardless. If he went to an open market I highly doubt he would get more
